Goofy but good! This was the third pair I ordered from Zappos and kept- the others were too big/small, not warm... these might look a bit goofy, but they are pretty warm. They’re a bit tight across one instep, but the traction is wonderful- and the treads are cut in the shape of penguins, which leave an interesting 'footprint.' I love them. They look like black suede shoeboxes, but if you want comfort and function, this is a good choice.

These shoes are great! Very comfortable right out of the box. Wore them in the rain yesterday and they kept my feet warm and dry and they still look great today. Also wore them on a trip earlier this month and zipper opening made them convenient for airport security. I've been wearing them with socks (average thickness). When I ordered, was concerned my feet would get too warm but this hasn't happened.

Cuter off than on - One thing I don't like about these is: They puff out when I put them on and they look a bit weird. However, I love to slip them on to walk the dogs and I don't need socks. Although the temps haven't hit 0 and less yet, we have had some 20 degree days and they've felt warm. The low heel of course takes getting used-to, but for me that was only a couple days. Overall, a good buy and they're still cute even with the puff. Also, I sprayed them for water resistance but haven't walked in rain or snow yet.
