These boots look great on the website and I was looking for something warm to wear to the hockey rink! In a blindfolded test, you would not be able to tell the difference between this boot and a ski boot. As for the warmth? As I sit and type this review, my toes are colder in this boot than in my wool slippers. On a positive note, the sole is heavy duty and the only attribute demonstrating Patagonia quality. To be specific, the footbed is narrow, the shaft tight to my shin, the lining is fleece instead of shearling. Something else of note, I could not get either boot off by myself. That said, I'll stick with my Uggs. Thanks, Zappos, for the free return shipping...you are awesome!!!

I am petite (5'4") and have a fairly athletic build due to tennis. I ordered this in a 7½ and had to return them. I could get my foot in, but could not get them off. I had to return as I was going to be traveling by air and they need to come off easily for airport security check points. I ordered the Sportos Kristen instead. The Zappos customer service team is the best and friendliest I have had the pleasure to work with. Thank you for your tremendous help!

Very disappointed. I could not even get the boot on my foot! (And I have really diminutive feet.) They are nice-looking. Patagonia should consider a side zipper.

Bought these for my 14 year old daughter and she loves them. States that they are warm and dry and considering the winters we endure, this is perfect for a winter boot.

Trust me, I have looked. Perfect snow boots are a challenge to find. There are many aspects of these boots that make them almost perfect. They keep your feet warm and dry. They are cute - that is to say, not bulky or chunky, but stylish like regular boots. They are light-weight and provide arch-support, so are comfortable for city dwellers to walk 10-30 blocks on concrete pavement. Another plus, you feet can breath so you will not need to change your footwear once you get indoors. I ordered half a size up, like I always do when ordering snow boots, and it turned out to be a good idea. My regular size 8 would have been a tight fit. Here is what I worry about: The style and soft material that makes the boots so comfortable to walk around in might wear out sooner than stiffer boots. None of the other reviewers said much about the durability of these boots. They are waterproof suede: How do they look and feel after a winter of ice and snow? Stiffer boots hold up well. I do not know about these yet. Maybe someone who has tracked though snow falls in them will weigh in. I give them the highest rating. I just hope they last for a few years.

This boot is great. A little stiff. But love the simplicity and the height. It is snug and warm. I ordered about 8 different pair and although I liked the styling of a short Merrell boot better this was the overall winner. I might add that this boot also was the most expensive...but knowing the Patagonia brand I know it will last and last.

These are awesome boots. I thought they might fit my wide foot if I ordered a half size bigger, but that isn't the case. They are very true to size and I wish for a wide width so I could keep these beautiful and practical boots!

I love these shoes. The first day I wore them I received lots of compliments! I usual wear an 8 but usually order half a size up in boots. I purchased a 9 and they fit great with thin or thicker tube socks. The shoes were stiff to get on, like many reviews stated but fit fine after you get them on. If you have larger or athletic built calfs they might be too tight or snug since there is no give in that area. Overall they are great boots.

I love these boots. I love the style and the comfort. They keep your feet toasty warm. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to pull them on after reading previous reviews but it was not a problem at all. I slipped them right on and was good to go. These are great and I'm so glad I got them. Not sure about arch support yet as I haven't worn them all day.

I have a pair of these boots and bought a new one for my mother. They fit true to size unless you want to wear thick socks you can go 1/2 size up. There is a contour design to them which some people seem to be frustrated with, you have to tilt the shoe and let your feet slide in at somewhat of an angle, then they fall into place like a pilot in a cockpit. I love this aspect because it almost feels form fitting and is probably the main reason why since I've had them, I haven't had 1 slip in NYC. I love how I can wear them with anything from jeans to a pencil skirt with tights, because of their streamlined shape and minimal details. My first pair is still around, at 3 years old and still going strong. Great craftsmanship and quality as always from Patagonia.

I have been looking for warm boots since I moved back to Boston. I wanted something with more structure and support than the classic uggs. I purchased a few other boots before I found these ones, and i'm really happy with them so far. they are comfortable and warm. I am looking forward to wearing them in the cold weather.

Wonderful All Around - After a couple days of wear these boots became super comfortable. I wore them on a week long trip to NYC in January. With miles of walking my feet never hurt and were never cold! And they look great too!

Great Boot! I live in Chicago and have a dog to walk. These boots are great. Very warm and completely waterproof. We have been having a brutally cold and snowy winter, these boots having really been a life saver. I ordered a 1/2 size up and they fit well.

Awesome boot! Loved this boot from the moment I took them out of the box. They are so cute and fashionable, yet keep your feet dry and really warm just like many other boots that are bigger and clunkier do. I wore them immediately and received so many compliments in just one day. The only slightly negative thing I can say is that if you have a wider foot like I do, you may have trouble putting them on the first couple of times. But after that they seem to stretch just enough to make them easier to get on! I have yet to get a blister or have them rub any place. I've worn them every day since I got them and it's been typical Missouri weather. I treaded thru 2 inches of snow the first day, the next day freezing rain, and yesterday, it was 65 degrees and sloppy. I bought the lighter color and they have yet to show any water or dirt damage! My dog stepped on my toe today and the paw print just brushed right off. I intended to buy another pair to have when these wear out. These boots are the proof that you don't have to sacrifice fashion for function!

I really wanted to love this boot....unfortunately, as others mentioned, I had an extremely hard time trying to get my foot into them. I originally ordered a half-size larger than my normal size 8 and really had to fight and wiggle my foot and tug and pull to get into them...only to discover that they were too big. Returned them for an 8 and still had the same fight to get them on. I didn't want to risk the hassle of that each time I wanted to wear them, so unfortunately they went back and my search continues!

I ordered half a size up from my dress shoe size which worked well. The grey is a little bluer than I would have liked, but they still look good. Can't decide if I want to keep them, but if I knew we were in store for another winter like last year, I definitely would.

I bought these boots to wear to Canada in February, they keep my feet warm and dry. I walked in them through snow and slush. The only problem with them was when I initially put them on, they were very tight to get my foot in. I ordered a 7.5 and they were a good fit after the struggle. Heavy weight socks were out, but after spending 8 hours in them in Canada, my feet were warm all day. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

These did not really do it for me. Because I returned them, I did not have a chance to try them out in the snow and cold, but they did not feel like they would hold up to a Wisconsin winter. Beyond that, they just were not cute or comfortable enough to justify keeping. They have a very boxy feel, a bit short, but also pretty wide.
