I rate this shoe five stars because I believe it deserves that based on my observation of its quality and my prior experience with the comfort and quality of Merrell footwear. However, I bought these for my husband, who has a rather flat foot. He found the arch support in the Jungle Moc to be uncomfortable to his foot.

Zappos provides the best and friendliest customer service I have ever experienced. I made a mistake and had to exchange the jungle moc for a different size it it was so easy the person on the phone was so nice! I will now try to buy everything through Zappos.

These are really gorgeous. They are light,soft and athletic. I would recommend them.

I love these shoes. I've been wearing them for years, and always get a new pair as they wear out. My wife makes fun of me but these are really all I wear outside of work.

My husband says these are the most comfortable shoes he has ever worn. I ordered then one day, got them the next. Amazing!

In winter or summer,I always keep a pair of shoes by the door when I have to run out and I have found these Merrell's to be easy on and off with good support and traction.

They feel like your wearing slipper all day. They stay nice secure on your feet. I can't see myself wearing anything else.

Great service! Same price as REI, but with Zappos free shipping and no WA state tax, I saved over the REI pair I took back because they didn't carry the brown earth color. Best all around shoe I've ever owned -- first pair, which I now use for yard work, I bought 6 years ago. Perfect year round shoe for Seattle type weather.

This must be my sixth or seventh pair. Extremely comfortable, easy to slip on and off (good for airports!). I think they look great. I wear them with orthotics, which they support well. Each pair has lasted several years of steady use.

This is the second pair of shoes I've bought at zappos.com and I'm just as happy with this pair as the first. Their reputation of great service and price is well deserved. And nothing is easier than having merchandise delivered to your door.

I got these shoes for my husband about 6 months ago. This is now the only pair of shoes he wears, so I am planning on buying another set. 6 months of daily wear and they still look great! He usually goes through shoes pretty quickly, but this one is really holding up very well.

I have a very high arch and this is one of the few slip on shoes with arch support that I can actually get my foot in. (People with high arches know what I mean).

I ordered these shoes for my nephew who wears a very hard to find size. Zappos always carries his size. The shoes were an excellent quality and fit great.

I realized how I had worn out my other mocs when I got these. I could not find the wide sizes anywhere else but here. Merrells are the best for heavy people.

This is my third pair. These are the best shoes with excellent arch support. This is the first time I purchased shoes from Zappos. The shoes shipped were brand new and were in excellent shape.

I give this shoe 5 stars because I can not find a suitable replacement from a different manufacturer. This tells me there is no equal on my foot, and it is the best. Here's the rest: I have been wearing this exact shoe now for about 8 years. With typical (or casual) use, my shoes last up to a couple years. With heavy use, I burn through about 2 pairs a year. This is my primary shoe, and I am on my feet all day (male-6'2"-190lbs). What wears out is the tread. Mind you, I am on about every surface imaginable (except greasy floors and sandy beaches, alas) throughout the 6 month shoe life-span. I have decided (to comfort my own mind) I am trading extreme comfort and great performance (non-sore back and energy to last the day) for longevity. I guess my foot and complete skeletal structure is now molded to the shoe. I do remember that my 1st pair fit just a good as my current ones...and it's time for a new pair...perpetually. The shoe is a slip-on style. I get excellent 'grip' both with shoe staying on foot and tread to surface, though I always keep in mind they are not laced up when the football comes out or a heavy object is staring back at me. I have never had a shoe 'crack' on me, sole or leather. I have never had to buy any sort of support insert. In my search for a different shoe, I've tried everything to get the same overall performance. Nothing worked, and I am back to buying another pair. I have recommended this shoe to countless others. My foot is on the more narrow ('standard') size, so I have no basis for the feel of the wide version.

I really like the Merrell Jungle shoe. It\'s very comfortable and would recommend it for anyone looking for a nice casual shoe.
