At first they were snug but after one day of walking in them they now feel great. Much more support than a tennis/sport shoe.

Ridiculously comfortable. I love being able to slip these on quickly if I need to run out real quick. Even though they slip on, they are snug. Even in inclement weather, these shoes are great. Will definitely buy another pair of these.

When I first got these shoes, I was infatuated with them in a way that surprised me. They slipped on easily, but they fit snuggly. They had excellent arch support. They were waterproof (I wore them when holding my daughters hand as she played in ocean shallow, so my jungle mocs were in a couple inches of water, and my feet were completely dry). They were great all around shoes that put others to shame (I’m looking at you, allbirds). Since then, the infatuation has faded to the comfortable warm love of a long marriage. The shoes wear a little looser. The waterproofing has is essentially gone. The shoes make my feet seem sweatier than most other shoes. The shoes last, and they age gracefully. I’ve gotten a year out of each of the pairs I’ve worn so far, and at the end of this the shoes look used, but not bad (I also use superfeet insoles). I’m pretty sure I could wear them for another year, but at the end of it they’d look pretty grim. I’m used to shoe companies changing things up with new styles every year, and it being a pain to find what I want again. Because of this, I bought 10 pairs (at $80 a piece). So I’m going to wear jungle mocs for the next decade. When I run low, I hope to find that Merrell is still making these.

Merell use to make great shoes that lasted a long time. The quality has gone down quite a bit and this is definitely the last pair I'll ever be purchasing. After 5 months and maybe a dozen times wearing them the glue holding the sole on has come undone and the left shoe is falling apart now. Seems fairly easy to 'fix' but this isn't something I should have to fix. A previous pair purchased in 2018 had similar issues, I had hoped it was a one off but now that it has happened again I'm thinking it is the new normal for Merell.

Overall these fit well. Slightly tight over the top of the foot. Ordered a 9 first and that seemed loose in the heel so tried the 8-1/2. 8-1/2 was the winner. Called Zappos since I had a coupon when I ordered the 9, wondering if I kept the 8-1/2 could that coupon be applied and customer support gave a credit on the spot, emailed the shipping label to me no questions asked! Zappos is the BEST!!!
