comfortable, supportive good looking shoes at a good price

I've been wearing Jungle mocs for the past 15 years. They fit both my foot and my lifestyle. I have a slightly wide foot, and the D width is snug but comfortable, and they loosen up as they break in. I travel a lot and these are great for traveling. I wear them for 5-10 mile city walks as well as casual hikes through the woods. I've even worn them on more technical hikes, although I prefer a boot with ankle support for that. I typically get 1-1.5 years out of a pair. And when they are no longer suitable for wearing in public, i get another year or two out of them for yard work. While they are definitely a casual shoe, and not at all dressy, the design is clean enough to be acceptable in a casual work environment where sneakers might not be appropriate. In fact I prefer these over sneakers for most applications, and reserve my sneakers for jogging/running. I've been looking for a suitable replacement, simply for the sake of variety. I've tried a few other brands, but I keep coming back to the Merrills. Maybe I should try a different color for some variety, and I'm happy to see a few new color options.

Overall BAD experience. I finally convinced by old school father to buy shoes on-line w/Zappo's. He decided on the Merrell Jungle Moc after we went thru the positive reviews. The look was perfect and the size "failed" (half size too small). $85 wasted, shoebox went out with the trash, slightly worn so return policy cannot be met.

Length would be right but the shoe pinches the toes together - too narrow. I can't exchange for a larger size or wide width because it isn't available in this color

Right out of the box these have excellent fit and the construction looks good. I have had a pair of Merrell Mocs for many years that served me well, and were comfortable. I expect the same from these, which are very similar. Merrell tends to have better arch support than other brands I've tried, and the heel and toe of these Jungle Mocs have just enough room without pressure spots or rubbing. I have not yet lived with them long-term.
