Narrow foot opening and clunky sole. The upper is quite strange too as it looked dirty right out of the box but I suppose it was meant to look "distressed"

Not the same shoe build from a year ago. China to Vietnam. The same shoe is too narrow. Had to return. This shoe used to come in a Wide. The M was perfect until now. Looking for a different slip on. Love the old shoe!

super high arch...have the jungle moc nubuck for 15 years...this show is not the same....

if you have Moc's already, caution...new shoe fit is nothing like an identical pair I have from a year ago...same size...arch is much larger/uncomfortable...shoe is cut smaller...

Jungle Mocs have always been my go to work shoes (stand on my feet 8 hours a day). I decided to try them in a wide and I have to say I am seriously disappointed in these shoes. First of all they now have a removable insole, which is very thin and they seem a lot less cushioned as Jungle Mocs I have had in the past. Secondly about a week after I got them they started to make this terrible squeaking sound as I walked. I contacted Zappos and as always their customer service was awesome and they sent a new pair to fix the situation. Sadly by the end of the first day wearing them they started to make the same squeaking sound. I contacted Merrell to let them know and they said all the Jungle Mocs now come with a removable insole and to either put powder or a dryer sheet in the shoe under the insole. I don't really want powder everywhere or to put a dryer sheet in my shoe. So I purchased New Balance insoles for more cushion and no squeak. The shoes are now tolerable with the cushioned insole to wear to work. Bottom line I don't think I will be purchasing Jungle Mocs again, not at all as comfortable as the used to be. Guess I need to find a new go to work shoe. I will however always purchase shoes from Zappos, their customer service is amazing!

This is probably my 5th purchase of this same shoe and for the first time I have a complaint. They are still comfortable, they still look good and I still like the price. However, for some reason that I cannot figure out this pair squeaks like crazy. Not just a little bit but a lot... very loud rubbing/squeaking noise with every step. It drives my coworkers crazy and strangers look at me weird in public. I have no idea if I simply got a bad pair (maybe not glued correctly) or if the manufacturer has changed something and now they all make this horrible squeaking sound. It's a mystery that I'm not willing to pay another $80 to solve though that is for sure. Oh, well... it was a good run (no pun intended) but I guess I need to find a new shoe.

This shoe is nothing like the Merrill Moab Ventilator. The Ventilator is a great shoe that fits my feet with my special arch supports but the Moc does not work well with special arch support. I will continue to buy the Moab but unfortunately I won't be buying the moc again. Too bad... I was hoping for the same fit.

Great Shoe. but terrible quality - shoe wore out less than 8 months, heal seem started to tear and the soles worn through. My last pair of Merrells lasted 2 plus years....this model is of poor quality. I assume these are made in China, try and find a model still made in Italy (If any). These are no better than the discount shoes at Kohls for $29.99 to 39.99.

This has OUTSTANDING arch support, and it's an extremely comfortable shoe - but it SQUEAKS - amazingly loud. I love Merrells - I have 3 paid - but would never purchase these again. It's not the sole, it's the interior - they squeak loudly when they compress. I'll probably only wear them occasionally, if I hadn't already worn them 8-10x, I would have returned them.

Although somewhat comfortable, I have had two hips done. I need more lateral stability. I don't think this shoe provides the degree of side-to-side stability that I need.

This is my third pair of Merrell jungle mocss and the first from Zappos. The entire purchasing and delivery process was flawless. Unfortunately, Merrell has changed the tread from the broad diamond pattern on the first two pairs to a much smaller and complex pattern. The new pattern picks up everything I walk on in the morning and as it dries, leaves little mud clumps, grass, and sand throughout the house.

I was disappointed with this purchase. The shoes look great and were exactly what I wanted - but the arch support is so high that after walking for a few minutes, wearing them becomes painful. I don't have fallen arches, and have never had this problem with a shoe before. Unfortunately, by the time this problem became obvious, the shoes had been worn too much to be returned. Moral of the story: try before you buy.

These have been my daily footwear for just over six months. They were attractive and comfortable in the beginning, and while the former still applies, I can't say the same for the latter. These shoes have worn more quickly and worse than any other pair of shoes I've owned in recent memory. I underpronate, which results in an uneven wear pattern on all of my shoes, but even so, six months is an incredibly short life for a pair of shoes when I keep most of my shoes around for two years or more. The right shoe now pops, as if I'm bursting a bubble from a piece of bubble wrap, every time I step down on the heel. These shoes have always had pretty terrible wet weather traction as well, a real problem here in Seattle where wet weather is the norm rather than the exception. While the tread appears rubbery in the images, I would describe it almost as more of a plasticky feel than rubber. This is my first and my last Merrell product.
