I'm really disappointed with the quality of these shoes. This was my first pair of Merrell's and I bought them because everyone said that they're incredibly durable. I'm a big man and I do a lot with my feet, so this was attractive to me. Usually I just by skater shoes like DCs or Vans because they tend to be the most durable. For this price I'd hoped for something with a little more style my age as well as at least the same durability. What I got was the opposite. I alternate these shoes with another pair and 6 months down the line, the Merrell's are the shoes where the tread is already worn smooth and the support is breaking down and hurting my feet. I really loved them at first, but I won't waste my money again.

I bought my Jungle Mocs while on a recent trip to the US. Because I was traveling overseas, I through away the box and packed the shoes. When I finally wore them for the first time, I discovered they are way too big. This is my 2nd pair of Jungle mocs. The first pair fits perfectly and the only difference is one is regular leather and the new ones suede. Now I have to wait 'til my next trip to the states to return them. I don't even know if Zappos will accept them without the box. I know I was stupid to not try them on immediately. I just thought "same shoe, same size, same experience." Boy, was I wrong.

The shoe seemed to lean inwards, so not sure how it will impact my knees. The shoe is a bit bigger than normal due to loose top, it tends to rub on back. My first purchase of this brand for walking shoes, will probably try other brands next time.

These shoes are too narrow, plus not long enough. My toe kept bumping against the end of the shoe and I had bought my size.

I am flat footed. I ordered this shoe because of the comfort description. I feel that this shoe was not very comfortable, and and I replaced the insert with a Dr. Scholl's gel insert. Also I have some degree of chronic plantar fascists, and the arch support was bothersome.

Sole of the shoe is too narrow for me, making the shoe unstable. Not a comfortable shoe for heavy walking (miles at a time). Not a good shoe for me.

Zappos did everything right. Great pictures, description, easy ordering, and SUPER customer service. As usual, no problems from Zappos. Jungle Mocs are great. Here are the pros: Good arch support - Solid construction (see cons) - Good fit and finish - Very durable upper - Good fitting shoe with good socks - Soles are springy. Only one con: Soles wear out very fast. After 2 months of wearing these, the nubs/traction have worn flush to the rest of the sole. For the price - everyone expects the soles to wear better. Have less than 50 miles on them and 90% + traffic on smooth tile floors and carpeting. Just plain walking in a hospital environment, not pushing stuff around or anything else that would cause undue wear. The rest of the shoe looks brand new. The uppers are still factory fresh as is the interior. Don’t get me wrong. These are very comfortable shoes. They fit me well out of the box with good socks. Would I recommend to others or buy another pair? No. This is too much money to spend on inferior soles.

This is the day of the expanding shoe (apologies to Steely Dan). So, first I ordered the size I usually wear, 10.5 Wide. My foot slid around inside them. Tried 10 Wide--a decent fit, maybe a tad wide, but I needed all the length, so I kept them, even though the inserts Merrell uses are thin and cheap (still, I like the firm sole better than any of the squishy Skechers I've recently tried), and even though these Jungle Mocs do look a bit like bulbous Dutch-boy clogs (but I wear them inside where no one can mock the mocs). Thing is, after a couple weeks the shoes felt bigger--indeed, they had expanded. And now, after six weeks, my foot slides around inside them. I guess I'll try some inserts to fill the newfound space. Anyway, if you want a shoe that keeps on giving, maybe this is for you.

I switched to these Merrell mocs several years ago, but I need to now move away from them. I find the toe of the soles peeling after only 3-4 months of daily usage. The soles also wear out super quick and the back of the shoe also develops a wear hole from slipping them off and on. This is the third or fourth pair I have purchased in the last 3 years. They just don't make them like they used to.

They feel great BUT, the interior lining has worn through in several spots after < 9 months, and they are IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean.

My first pair of Merrill mocs, years ago, fit me like a comfortable glove. They stopped making that style (sigh). More recently, they've been pretty darned good, even if not as good as the very first pair. But the latest pair: stiff and not very comfortable, even after wearing them for a couple of months. So now I have to start over trying to find a comfortable pair of easy-on, easy-off shoes. Damn it.

There is something wrong with the sole on the left shoe on the man's size 9. It has a pressure point on the outside of the sole midway between toe and heel that is extremely uncomfortable/downright painful. These have been great shoes in the past and I hope that Merrill hasn't failed in their quality control.

The arch support is in the wrong place in these shoes. The peak of the support was too far back. It should be in the middle of the arch but these had it closer to the heal. Very painful. Not recommended.\r\n

Not impressed with the plaid finger hook. The shoes fit much differently than they used to. Merrell used to be consistent and comfortable. Now they are too tight, too small and not well fitting. I won't buy this brand again .

They are not the same, Merrell has changed their shoes. The left shoe was great but the right shoe was too short/small. I have no idea what is going on with this company, now I know they were bought out by Wolverine who obviously doesn't know how to design shoes. Having worn Merrells most of my life, 20+ years now, I have never had more issues than I have with the 'new' unimproved Merrell shoes. I also didn't like the back finger hook that looks like a pair of old red pajamas.

The shoes I received were completely worn out. Looks like someone else wore them every day for a year! What a pain.

I have purchased these shoes several times over the years and have always liked them until now. I purchased this pair in September and the sole has already worn out! In fact on one shoe the rubber sole wore completely out! Previously they have lasted well over a year, but not this time. Pretty bummed.

I've purchased Merrell's before and in the past these shoes have been bulletproof, but it seems like the quality control over at Merrell has gone downhill. The shoes looked and felt great out of the box, but after a few weeks they started to fall apart. I walk a lot during the week and these shoes were perfect as they were comfortable and durable, as well as stylish enough for work, but now I'll have to find a new brand.

I would not buy these. I used to have a pair that I loved. Replaced them in the same size and with. The new ones just do not fit and the material seems to have changed.

Honestly, these are great all terrain shoes. We live in the mountains and are frequently walking over bumpy terrain and rocks and these fit the bill as all purpose outdoor shoes. In winter we put spikes on for the snow and rain, and ice. Worth every penny and fit true to size. Don’t listen to the reviews that say they run small. Did that and sized up and the bigger size was swimming on my feet.

The shoes are comfortable and I like the color. I have worn many pair of these shoes and I am never disappointed.

Great o all counts

Before I retired and was working daily I was a regular Merrell user for years. After my retirement and moving to a warmer climate I found myself wearing sandals regularly. Recently I decided I needed a good everyday shoe that provided comfort, stability and ease of use so I decided to order another Merrell product. The minute I slipped my bare feet into this shoe it reminded me how much I enjoyed wearing their products. As a former quality engineer I immediately gave them the eagle eye and found their build to be nearly perfect. Yes, I have no problem with recommending them!

Fit is great and so comfortable. Can dress up or down and good for walking all day
