Great new brand - I decided to try Merrell's instead of the usual New Balance, may never go back! Very comfy trail and street shoe from the start, roomy toe box, maybe sits a little high in the heel. I wear wide widths (EE in New Balance) and the E is plenty wide.

Merrell Radius Got Me Hiking Again - After months of Plantar Fasciitis heel pain, I decided to try these Merrell Radius multi-sport shoes. Ordered them on a Thursday, and then Zappos expedited my order at no charge. I think Zappos was trying to impress me. It worked - the shoes showed up the next day - Friday - and I was thrilled. Tried them on immediately, and they felt great! No heel pain at all! So, I went hiking on Saturday and the shoes were amazing. Still no heel pain. Because of Merrell and Zappos, I'm back on my feet!!

Merrell Radius (wide) - Recommended by a friend: It has a comfortable wide toe which is hard to find. I have had surgery; in the past on ingrown toenails caused by too narrow of a shoe. Good arch support. Zappos gave excellent service. I will definitely buy again!

Awesome shoes. I can't say enough about how great these shoes are. The quality, comfort, and look are all top of the line.

Husband Loves These - I purchased these for my husband. He takes an E width, which is a bit hard to find (except at Zappos). He thinks these are great. They fit without any hot spots, the heel doesn't slip, and they are great quality. He was able to wear them all day right out of the box. That is something that has never happened before! Thank you Zappos!

Great Shoes - Been wearing them for years! I'm disabled and my feet are very picky. These shoes are very comfortable and great quality. I have been buying them for about six years now. The only issue that I've seen is that the shoe tends to wear out in the same place every time. (Could be that I just walk funny.)

These are well-made sturdy shoes. They are great for walking and hiking on light trails. I highly recommend them. The Zappos\' service sealed the deal.

Generous cut. The wide shoe was true to stated size. A little hot and doesn't breathe particularly well. Comfortable and I would probably buy another pair. True to size. I think it accommodates a foot with a hiking sock, so a W accommodates a W foot in a thick sock, which is very good.

This is the second pair of Merrells I've owned and I highly recommend them. I found the Radius to be a lightweight yet sturdy hiker/casual shoe. They are well cushioned and have plenty of room in the toe box to accommodate thicker socks or a sport insole. I wear them primarily with jeans and other casual wear during the Fall and Winter. They're my cold weather sneakers, if you will. Overall, the Radius is a great value and, of course, the service at Zappos is first-rate. However, I must also mention that I encountered a problem with this new pair. While the fit and comfort in the right shoe is virtually perfect, I experienced considerable discomfort in the left forefoot that I believe is due to a lack of cushioning. I am simply chalking it up to a defect in the shoe and may see if Zappos will take them back so that I can order another pair. Despite this odd occurrence, I'm still recommending them.

Merrell Radius - Great overall shoe. I ordered a "wide" because the "medium" width was just too narrow for me. I am a "borderline wide" shoe buyer, and sometimes I wear a medium width and sometimes I wear a wide width. The wide width in this Merrell provides plenty of space - it actually was wider than I expected and is the reason it is not a "5 star" rating.

Awkward Shoe To Wear - I tried these Merrells as I have a wide foot and bunion on my right big toe which requires a wide toe box. The Merrells fit fine and provide the room I need in the toe box, but the heel cup was too wide and the shoe felt sloppy. In addition, when walking, after my heel strikes the ground, I get the distinct impression that they rest of my foot slaps flat on the ground rather than rolling in a comfortable motion. Some people may not find this annoying or uncomfortable, but I do. I have since discontinued wearing these shoes and have purchased a pair of Solomons which fit better and have a more natural rolling action when walking. The inner sole of these shoes are very flimsy and offer no support. I wear orthotics, so I just threw them away, but people without orthotics may want to consider this.
