My husband wears Merrell Jungle Mocs in very colors almost exclusively, so I was hopeful that they would work well for me. Unfortunately, they rubbed against my ankle bones on the outside, so the cut of them will never work for my foot. Had to return.

I'll start off by saying I love Merrells. I have several pair and I wouldn't hesitate from purchasing more. Really nice support, comfort and looks. Unfortunately, this last pair I purchased ... let's say it's been an interesting journey... First, understand that the soles are different on the Jungle Mocs depending on if you're looking at the Jungle Moc Mediums, or Wides, or Waterproofs. There is now a blurb on the website about that, but there wasn't any blurb back then. So I received my pair of shoes .... two slightly different shades and two completely different soles. I returned them, exchanging them for another pair. I received the second pair, but now I had a pair of shoes where neither of them had the soles I had been expecting... or wanting. And.... someone else had definitely worn these shoes before me. There was a crease in the right shoe and just one scraggly piece of tissue paper in the box. The shoes weren't actually wrapped in any of it, and there was no stuffing in the shoes. But by now I was tired of calling customer service and dealing with them. Customer service at Zappos is usually very good as long as you can get past any potential language barrier, but this time around, they weren't much help. So instead, I wrote a letter to Scott Schaefer, the CEO. And I waited. I set the shoes aside, figuring I'd exchange them after hearing from whomever he delegated to respond. No one ever responded and it was quite awhile before I wore those shoes. But I finally did, and now they've developed this loud squeak in the right shoe whenever I walk. I can't wear them anywhere unless I plan to be alone. It's ridiculous. Plus.... they're a far, FAR different shade of brown than on the website. No where near as dark. I'm very dissatisfied with this purchase. The squeak is Merrel's fault. Everything else belongs to Zappos.

One shoe had an annoying protrusion that scratched the foot and was uncomfortable.
