I've worn Merrell Mocs for 20 years. Have an older pair on now - could not be more comfortable. The new pair is different. Left shoe hurting on left side middle of my foot. Just at bottom outside edge. No problem on right shoe.I'm going to try inserts but right now I'm not happy.

Got these to replace a very well worn pair of the regular Jungle Mocs. I was looking for something a bit more casual since I've been a bit busy to get out to the trails.
These fit a bit thinner and longer than the same size of the standard Jungle Moc. It's a good shoe, but I'll be going back to the standard when I buy again.

My first pair of Jungle Moc Nubucks were perfect, purchased a couple of years ago, but when I ordered a replacement pair, same style, size, and width, I was disappointed to find that the new ones were simply too narrow for comfort, even with thinner socks. I don't think my feet have grown enough (at age 60) or my old shoes have stretched enough to explain the poor fit. I've returned the new ones and replaced them with a pair of Moab Rover Mocs (wide width) -- not exactly what I wanted, but more comfortable than the new narrow Jungle Moc Nubucks.

I normally wear D width, but in this shoe the D is too tight especially in the toe box. I tried the "wide," which I gather is EE width. That's too wide. I returned them. A pity.

I lived in a pair of these for the past several years. They were incredible. Unfortunately, the product line is incomprehensibly ambivalent about which shoe you are actually getting when you buy online. Some are leather, some are NuBuck, some have one sole style and some have another. I ended up with NuBuck and a different sole pattern than I had been living with, and I basically hate it. The shoes are just as comfortable, but the sole pattern looks dorky, feels dorky underfoot, and makes driving my stick shift positively dangerous because it interferes with the feel of the pedals. I would definitely buy Jungle Mocs, but I would stay away from the NuBuck and from the waffle sole pattern!
I'd also recommend:

I got these shoes last September or October- in any case well under a year ago. I like the way that they fit, and they're one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes that I've ever worn. But, I expect to be able to get more than six months out of a pair of shoes. The treads on both shoes are worn down to the midsole and the fabric in the heel box is worn through on the right shoe. I haven't used these to do anything harsher than walk my dog. The durability of these shoes was extremely disappointing, which is a major consideration on whether or not to get another pair of Merrells. I've owned Merrell hiking boots in the past which I used as work boots- heavy construction. I don't recall durability being an issue with them.

My third pair. Very comfortable but only last about a year That's why I only gave them 3 stars. Wish they were made in the US.

I returned these shoes not because there was anything wrong with them but because of my feet. I have diabetic neuropathy in my feet so I have to be very careful about the shoes I buy. I also have a very thick foot and they felt a little snug from the bottom to the top of my foot. I really wanted to keep them but I was afraid they would not work for me.

look good but wider version is much bigger; would caution customers to downsize by 1/2 size.

The shoe is comfortable. Merrell has been favorite for this style. The Wide is a little too wide though -- almost like a double-Wide.

THE JUNGLE MOC NUBUCK: the best shoe ever. comfortable and great fit - size 10 - from the moment i put them on. great looking. i want to wear them everywhere. i have just tested them on a 2 week mountain hiking trip in sedona, az. they are super comfortable, and are great for hiking everywhere from cathedral rock to trekking thru 4 airports in a day, to taking my sweetheart to a fancy dinner. i like them so much i ordered 2 more pair. thanks for these great shoes! i rate them a 5.
THE MOAB VENTILATOR AND MOAB GORETEX VENTILATOR: NOT a good fit. about 3 years ago i bought a pair of what i thought were these moab ventilators at halfmoon outfitters here in savannah. size 10. they look the same as these do except they had a bungee type lace system. they fit perfectly from the moment i put them on and i literally wore them almost daily until i wore them out. they were the best fitting shoes i had ever owned. so i wanted another pair. i bought these moab ventilators from your site in a size 10 and they were too small anduncomfortable. i returned them for a size 10.5. they seemed to fit but were not that comfortable. i thought perhaps i could break them in and they would feel better. so i did. i have just returned from 2 weeks hiking the mountains in sedona, az. i took 4 pair of merrells with me - 2 nubuck jungle mocs, and both ventilators. i gave the ventilators a good try. my feet hurt by the end of the day in both pairs of the ventilators. they are always uncomfortable. the heel is so built up i feel like i am leaning forward. i rate them a 1 or a 2. i wish i could find the original moabs i had. but i do love my jungle mocs, so i am not giving up on you.

I bought these at a sporting goods going out of business sale last May. Since then I have been wearing them less than 6 months and in wet weather water is seeping into the shoe through the sole. I thought these would hold up better...

I have purchased these shoes before in a department store, these are slightly different then my previous shoes, on the toe the rubber sole wraps up the front of the shoe, at the end of this rubber in the pattern from the sole the rubber has split to allow grass to get caught every time I walk in my yard! Love the shoe, hate the rip in the rubber!

very comfortable, but 12 is too small for my foot and 12 wide is too big. 13 would be fall off.

Far away the most comfortable casual shoes I've ever worn. Great for my plantar fasciitis once you put a Dr Scholl's insert in them. Just be advised, the color is way lighter than the picture on the Merrell website. I wouldn't call it brown. It's more like a light tan. But as far as comfort goes, you can't beat it.

I ordered these shoes about 7 months ago for work. I'm on my feet all day, so comfort was important. They were great for the first few months. after that, they started to come apart. The soles on mine are about 90% worn after 7 months. Very comfortable, but didn't hold up well for me.

I have purchased Jungle Moc shoes for years now. It's incredible how comfortable these shoes are.
I've purchased other Merrell shoes as well, and they've been just as comfortable. My Jungle Mocs are
stylish, comfortable the second I put them on (like slippers!), and they are very durable as well.
The shipping process is simple and efficient, as well as the return procedure, when necessary. 4 stars!!!

My Dad says they are comfortable (his first pair of new shoes purchased in 20 years...related to his difficult size...lol). But unfortunately they seem to run a bit large. We are hoping there will be a simple way to "try" the next smaller size 8 Wide. Right now though it appears to be out of stock. We hope they will be in stock soon.

I must say that this is the most comfortable shoe I have owned. I purchased them earlier this year but the sole has not worn well. I use them just to and from the office and now the both soles have worn completely through in one part of the sole after just a few months of owning them. Disappointed in the use I have gotten from these comfortable shoes. This would undoubtedly have gotten a 5 star rating from me had the soles worn better.

Bought a pair of these several months ago for a trip.I have a very narrow foot so it is hard to find shoes that fit decent especially slip ons. These were no different but thought they would work if I added some insoles. The insoles helped with the slipping but after wearing them for awhile you feel the toes are a little tight so they are not comfortable to wear for very long. This really is not a problem with the shoes just my foot, but becuase of this I don't wear them as often as I would if they fit better. If I could get them to fit right would probably rate them a 5.A couple of weeks ago I tried on the Olmec slip on just for the heck of it, I did not see these when I bought the jungle mocs unfortunately, because they fit much better for some reason, they must be made narrower or something. So if you have a narrow foot try the Olmec, I wish I would have because I can't afford to buy another pair now.

Have had these for 18 months, but worn only for 12 months as I wear the Winter Chill Mocs for 6 months during
the winter. The tread on the Jungle Mocs as worn out much sooner than expected. Also the inner soles have
broken down. Will not re-order Jungle Mocs but maybe a better quality moc. The Winter Mocs are great.

I have owned two pairs of Jungle Mocs. I have found these shoes to be very comfortable. I wear these shoes for work, where I am constantly moving around. The only problem that I have had with these shoes is that the soles have not lasted for more than six months. This is a disappointment, because Merrell's are know for their quality and their soles should not breakdown so soon. If you are planning on purchasing these shoes to wear on a daily basis then I would look for a different pair where the soles are made to last longer.

I have owned several pairs of Jungle Mocs over the last 5 years. My first 2 pairs were the best shoes I have ever put on my feet. It seems as if the sizing has gotten smaller though on the last pair I purchased. I usually wear a size 12 in Merrell but these run smaller than that. Make sure you try them on before you buy them.
