I have a high arch and the top of this shoe feels too tight for me.

Feels very tight after wearing it all day

I’ve worn the jungle moc for several years and this last pair felt like they were snugger in the toe box and/or the mid-foot area. It’s just a difference of a “silly millimeter” but doesn’t feel good on my sensitive feet. :-(. Made enough difference to me that I’ve returned them and looking for something else. I WISH the shoes came in a wide width—I already buy them a half size larger than usual because they don’t, and when I tried going up another half size they were way too loose at the heel. :-(. So sad to stop wearing these great shoes!

Merrell's Jungle Mocs are the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. My first pair was a chance purchase, on a local store's clearance rack. They feel so good on the BOTTOM of my feet! I've had them in Gunmetal and Black, and just got them in Taupe. Unfortunately, the taupe color is very, very light - looks almost white! I can't deal with this; was hoping for a little darker shade of taupe, so back they go. Merrell, if you're listening - I would have several pairs of these, at a time, if they came in more colors...how about blue, or gray, or dark brown, or sage green? My favorite shoes, but I need it in another color...

It fit well, but the support around the ankles is way too tight, and I don't think I can wear them until the elastic lets loose of its grip. Continuing to look for the perfect Merrell. They used to be out there, come on back with your floral pattern and the one you had two years ago, that fit like a glove, Please!

Zappos does not disappoint. Shipping was super fast! The shoes arrived within 3 days of placing the order. I'm a minimalist traveler, so I was looking for a pair of multi-purpose shoes for vacations that provide ease of getting through airport security, look decent enough for any restaurants, and rugged and comfortable enough for light hiking, sight-seeing, etc. These shoes have been great for all those purposes for my last 2 weekend trips. My only complaint is that the right shoe comes up against my outside ankle bone and can hurt after a while. Otherwise, these shoes are great!

These shoes are comfortable enough to stand in for hours at a time. The size seemed a bit big but wearing the shoes with thick socks has cut down on the heel slipping.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable! One of the only pair I can wear to work on my feet 14 hours a day and not have my bad back and knees killing me by the end of the day. If you are on your feet for extended periods of time and these shoes are a must. I bought these to replace a pair I have had about 10 years, and the only reason I don't give these 5 out of 5 all around is because they changed the slip-on style to have two vents to make them easier to get on. I preferred the more snug fit of the old ones. Great shoes!

It fits a little deep...had to get inserts so my ankle bone didn't hit the top of the shoe. But they are great now!

Hmmm -- used to wear these a lot a couple of years ago. Seem wider, but not necessarily longer, than in previous years. Zappos is still the best.

I wish these shoes had fit--they were so comfortable on the inside. However, they are cut very high at the ankle and dug up under the bone. Very painful after only a few minutes. Other than that, these shoes were perfect. They looked surprisingly nice on, too.

Too short - I found these shoes too wide and too short. I expected to wear them with heavier socks but without socks my toes could bump up against the front of them. I have a pair of Merrell sandals that fit fine.

Jungle Moc - I have this shoe in both black and smoke. I had both knees replaced and this shoe gives me stability when I walk. For some reason the left shoe in the smoke is a little bigger than the right shoe, but for me it worked out perfectly because my left foot is misshapen from arthritis. The shoe just looks better to me in the black.

Great shoe - I have been buying the jungle moc for at least 8 years and they have always fit perfectly. But, this last pair feels a little bigger than usual in terms of length.

Great shoe - little small - It seems these shoes are not as wide as a regular shoe and they don't seem to make a wide width.

Like many, I found the toe box to be far too narrow - serendipitously, I discovered the color I wanted in a men's size but not women's and low and behold men's 7 seems to fit pretty well while neither women's 8 or 8.5 is at all comfortable. Merrell's description of what they do for women's sizes affirms why this would be - narrower, higher instep, among other things (I have wide front foot and low arch)

The major problem with the fit: I need a Wide for the toe box area but not the heel area. These felt small and too narrow in the toe box but I could tell the heels would rub - I purchased these to do my cold weather outdoor walking of 2+ miles per day - unfortunately they will not work for me.

Heel width and arch support are great but toe box too small. Gunsmoke is grey not brown as the picture seems.

Boot seems to run 1/2 size small.

Purchased the Merrill Jungle Moc in a size 9, after exchanging a size 8.5. (too short). I wear a size 8.0, 8.5, or 9.0 shoe, depending on shoe style. I have a narrow/medium width foot. The Moc was heavier than expected, but it felt solid when walking on ground or uneven pavement. The shoe was a little too wide, so I need to wear thick socks. The right side of the right shoes rubs against my ankle bone, making it uncomfortable to wear the shoe for extended periods of time. I am hoping the top edge of the shoe will soften and be more flexible and not rub against my ankle bone.

Too narrow in the toe for me. I like the support and the sole.

I have owned four pairs of Jungle Mocs, the water resistant ones. I tried to buy another pair as a back up and found out they stopped making the women's version. WHY? The water resistant pair fit more snugly and held my foot with great structure. The non-water resistant pair is missing thickness in the lining (so the shoe clerk told me) and the back of the shoe slips up and down when I walk. I suppose I could have lived with it if I put a heel grabber in the back but the back of the shoe just felt shorter and wasn't comfortable. Going back the day after Christmas to return them. I am so disappointed, I'd have worn these shoes forever! Will now buy a pair (or two) of Merrill sneakers to replace the shoes and hope they last as long as the Jungle Mocs did and remain comfortable (am not a runner but I need support in a shoe). Fingers crossed. What's with eliminating the shoes for women only? Huh?

I wanted to give these five stars, since every other pair of Merrells I own is wonderful. I have narrow heels and my foot slides all the way to the front in these. That means after I wear them a few hours, my toes are squished and sore. My arches do not line up with the arch support. I bought these as a slip-on to help me walk on uneven ground after a knee injury. They are good for that, but I can’t wear them as a walking or hiking shoe. I am going to try some insoles to see if that helps.
