I have feet that aren't happy unless they're giving me a hard time about something -- bunion, hammertoe, sad arches, and often all three at once. I hardly ever find a shoe I can just wear. These Merrell Barrados? I put 'em on and wore them with no modifications immediately. They feel better with a thin sock, but I'm not one to wear shoes w/o socks anyway. So... two thumbs enthusiastically up for these shoes. And as always, much appreciation to Zappos for making shopping so easy.

I first bought these shoes over 5 years ago. I didn't realize how much I'd worn them until I got my new pair. These are the best all round casual shoe there is! Really comfortable, can wear anyplace. Love them!

So happy to have found this exact design by Merrell again. I had a pair years ago, worn out completely. Not too heavy, looking or feeling. Perfect for jeans or a skirt. Great travel shoe for walking.

I loved these shoes right out of the box. They needed about an evening's worth of breaking in just to soften them up a bit but they were comfortable from the first wearing. Two days after these arrived I wore them on a vacation to Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Red Rocks, etc. I did not have a bit of discomfort despite a lot of walking. The arch support is good without being overly high. The styling is very creative and they are flattering on the foot. I have received quite a few compliments on them in just the first two weeks of wear.

I bought these in 2011. Its now 2016 and I'm still wearing them. I don't wear them on a daily basis but whenever I do they're comfortable. Highly recommend buying them.

I love these shoes! They make me feel like I am 9 years old again, way back before I became aware that I had feet and that feet could hurt. I've had my black pair for years and they still look like new. I recommend this shoe to everyone I know who has any kind of foot trouble, and each person has found this shoe to be the answer. Light, durable, cute; a sporty shoe that is slim and elegant. I wore this shoe for two days in NYC, walking from the Battery to Soho in a single afternoon, and felt not a moment's discomfort. That's as good as a shoe gets.

Light weight, very attractive, but too shallow in the instep for my foot. I don't know how my instep ranks though against say, the rest of humanity. I was able to zip it, a feature I loved about them, but just too close for comfort.

These shoes are light weight athletic shoe material with leather trim. They fit true to size. I wear a 7 medium. They do not run wide. I love the easy on/off zipper. I use them mainly for at-home, indoor exercise, but I do wear them to run errands. I love these shoes and have two pair - one to wear and a spare! These are not a substitute for jogging shoes. Like all Merrell shoes, they are well constructed. I have had my first pair for several years and am still wearing them.

Love these shoes. I am wearing them everywhere. What I really like is that I can put my "superfeet" inserts in them. I love them so much, I am about to buy them in white.

Let me start by saying it was my intention to return these shoes. Life interfered in this plan and it became to late to return them. I developed Plantar Fasciitis and everything changed. It began a serious search to find a pair of shoes that would help. I tried Asics, Orthaheel, Saucony and several others. They all worked for a while and then my foot pain returned. Since I could not return these shoes I decided to try them again. They worked. Because they are soft when my feet expand so do the shoes. I did put in an insert. I have a very high arch and need the extra support. It has been six months now and they are still the most comfortable shoes in my extensive stable if shoes. If you have Plantar Fasciitis, I would recommend giving these shoes a try. It may be the best thing you do for you.

This is my second pair of these Merrells. I just love them, with jeans, leggings, even dressier pants. When you want to wear flats but comfort is paramount, these stylish shoes are the ones to pick! I am so glad that I could find them again! I gave comfort four stars because this pair is a bit stiffer than my first, but it will soften with wear.

These are very comfortable! I found them to run a little small. I had to send 10 back for 10½. I am so glad that I did!

I really hesitated about returning these. The fit was good and the footbed comfy, but they looked too much like water shoes.

These shoes are well made, light weight and very comfortable. I bought my first pair several years ago and they have held up really well but when I saw them at Zappos recently, I decided to get another pair, just in case Merrell stopped making them. I wear them a lot for biking and people think they are biking shoes. They're great all around shoes and I highly recommend them!

These shoes fit "like a glove" on your foot. They are comfortable - I put them on immediately and did not take them off until hours later. At first glance, I thought the shoes would be too narrow, but they fit well. I ordered my regular size (7M). The zipper makes the shoe easy to put on and take off. They have an unobtrusive loop at the heel that helps with the easy on and off. These are perfect every day shoes. Zappos' service was wonderful as always.

Great shoes! Cool look and comfortable. With a lot of running and walking shoes, I have needed to go up a size or size and a half. For these, I tried up a half and they were too big. So for me at least, these work in dress shoe size.

These quickly became my "go to" shoes for running errands and hitting the gym. They are comfortable and less chunky than regular athletic shoes. I don't plan to use them for any aerobic activity such as running but I bet they'd be great for Zumba class and weight lifting.

Very comfortable shoe, true to size and width. It's become my 'go-to' shoe for the running around that I do.

I was looking form comfort and good looks! These Merrells did it for me I think I have not stopped wearing then since buying them! They look chic and can wear them on the concrete floor at work! Not bulky easy to put on and you know you are wearing Merrells! Also, thank you Zappos for exemplary customer service!

I can't believe I did not write a review about my 'very favorite' new shoes by Merrells. OMG! these shoes are like walking on air especially because where I work the floor is concrete so there is NO GIVE at all! Gotta love Merrells! Thank you Zappos for great customer service.

Comfortable, lightweight sneakers. Third pair - I hope they don't stop making them. Walk, exercise & travel in them.

Keepers. These shoes are roomy enough in the front to allow orthotics or inserts, yet do not slip off; they are cute and flattering; I like the soft color and bit of silver.

I have had both the black and the silver since 2006 and they still look great, feel great.Wish they came in blue. Would love to have them.

My 94 year old mother bought a pair of Barrado (Merrell) shoes years ago. She could not find new ones in any store. Thanks, Zappos, for having them in stock and shipping them so quickly. She is happily on her feet again!
