Just got back from breaking these in over 30 miles in Rocky Mountain National Park. The Pros: Good arch support Great traction and the lugs held up really well in the mountainous terrain. Good overall look and functionality. The Cons: Felt half a size small. My toes are right at the end for my shoe size. I would recommend a half a size larger, even though I wear 15s and don’t have the option of stepping up a half size. Also, the toe box is a little small for me (I usually use Keens for this reason). Coming down the mountains I got a small blister on the top of the toe next to the pinky due to this. Overall they seem to be a good and versatile shoe. I may have to switch to something different for more vertical hikes if I can’t fix the toe box issue, but would still recommend them for light hikes and/or casual wear.

Great looking shoe and feels pretty good, support-wise. But the toe box is an unusual shape and crowds my pinky toes uncomfortably.

If you're normally a full-size, add 1/2 to it since it runs a bit small. So, I normally go with 9, but for these, had to go with 9.5 since 9 was too tight.

They formed well to my feet and continue to stay that way. The support they provide is untouchable by any other brand of shoe I’ve had. They are SO comfortable. Their Vibram sole is great, especially hiking and outdoor activities they’ll seriously grip anything. My only complaint is how fast the soles have worn! They MIGHT last two total years, but I’ve got Adidas skate shoes that have lasted almost 4 years and don’t have the level of comfort or sole that these do. I’ll buy them again and again but hopefully they get a longer lasting Vibram sole.

They look great, but a little tight. I'm exchanging them for a half size larger.. so I'll be able to give a better review once I get the correct size.

This is a great shoe. I tried the size I usually wear in Merrell shoes but found them to be tight. I went a full size larger than I normally wear and they are fine. The break in was a bit rough for the first few days. I can walk in them all day without foot fatigue.

WAY WAY to small. Get at least a 1/2 size or larger than you normally get.

Normally wear an 11-1/2 but had to re-order size 12. Length now good but toe box a still a bit narrower than I like. Very comfortable sole.

My husband loves Merrell shoes but he couldn't get the right fit on these. Sadly, had to return and give up.

Solid shoe, but they do run small at the front of the shoe so if you have big toes get a .5 size bigger

The problem with these shoes is that they caused my normally neutral-to-average pronation to over pronate to the point of making me feel unstable just walking around my house. Would love them if they were neutral.

This seems a very good shoe...but I prefer a wider (squarer) toe box. There's plenty of room in the heel. I wear a 9M. Unlike my other Merrells, Clarks, and Columbias, this one tapers considerably, and switching to it after wearing mocs or, say, the Moab Ventilator, takes some getting used to. Maybe a half hour or so. If you're willing to put up with that, I recommend the shoe.

I've only had them for a week. The size is accurate, very comfortable and seem stable. This is my second pair of Merrells.

These are really nice looking shoes of what seems to be good quality construction. I'm sending mine back because although they'd be comfortable for the right shaped foot, these squeeze in too much for my broad toe spread. They seem a smidge smaller than most shoes I try in this size.

Great shoe. After two weeks super comfortable, looks great and seems to be pretty tough.

This shoe does run one full size small. It also is a bit narrow and rather heavy. With that said it is well constructed, and looks great with shorts, jeans or chinos.

My second pair of Merrells, the Intercept is a versatile, ruggedly built platform. Perhaps a tiny bit heavy, but not too much to prevent me wearing them virtually every day. At work with a pair of khakis, or bummin' around with a pair of jeans or cargo shorts, these will serve me well.

Great shoe. They seem to run small, I usually take a size 10.5 - 11, but had to go with a 12.
