Updated review! These will shrink in the dryer. I've had them for a few months and the label says "tumble dry low". I never have...until today. They're noticeably smaller. If they fit well (like mine did before today), I suggest you do not dry them!

I so wanted to love these pants! I ordered the medium and they fit except for the inseam. I went up a size and they were a little loose, but the zipper inseam did not increase enough to make these pants wearable, unless I wore them as an extreme low rise (which I do not like!). They are slimming, and the fabric and cut are great. Oh well! I do love this brand and own a lot of skirts by them. I guess these go back!

I returned these pants for two reasons. 1. Previous reviewers were right when they stated to size down, which I did, but I needed to order another size down (I ordered size 4, which were too big considering I'm an average weight and build...weight 130, height 5'6, waist 28 to 29 and big, 21 inch thighs - my thunder thighs are not so average). 2. I knew the pant style was wide leg...but that's just too much for my taste. I'd need to take the ankles in a little bit to be more comfortable. Too much rustling when I walked. Also, the length was perfect for me, without heels, so someone taller might find them too short.

I love the concept of these pants. They are very cool and interesting. The fabric is nice and lightweight/stretchy and they were somewhat flattering. However; I got the charcoal color and the dark color made them look like they came from Hot Topic. Almost gothy or something. Great quality though. I wish the color "fatigue" was available because I think a military green would offset the vibe I got. Maybe they're just too fashionable for the small city I live in.

As suggested, I ordered a size down, they were too small. Exchanged, ordered my size, the large is the same size as the medium I returned. To top it off the zipper was broken. I really wanted these for vacation, but it was not to be. Back they go.

I do not like this. I see nothing about it that I like. It fit okay it was short on me. I am 5'7", 135lbs. It looked like a curtain that I had wrapped around me. Not sure why it has 5 stars but I do not recommend. Sending it back.

I ordered an XL in the gaucho which were great but these were quite a bit smaller and didn't fit. I wear a 16 and these were more like a small 14. Maybe just my pair but have to send back. Also, the material was more like a thin linen that you could see the light through. Cute, just didn't work!

I love this brand, and I love their style. However XCVI sizing is inconsistent. I read the other reviews that said this, but failed to heed the warning because until now I had not experienced this problem with XCVI. I ordered a medium which was just a tiny bit too tight, so I exchanged for a large. The large was smaller than the medium. I am not making this up. I could tell as soon as I took it out of the packaging. Trying the garment on confirmed my suspicion. My sisterly advice is that if you order something in this brand, order it in more than one size, so that maybe one will fit, and you can send the others back.

The fabric's button is not strong enough! The first time I opened it, it ripped off! So disappointing for these pants' price!
