I was relieved to find this boot for my son, who not only has an E width foot but also a particularly wide forefoot. It is quite a warm boot. We used to buy Keens, but recently their models have seemed to have a narrower forefoot.

I got these boots for my 6 year old son and 2 year old daughter. Both put their feet into them and didn't want to take them off! I got them in size 3 for my son who wears 1.5 and size 9 for my daughter who in the fall was size 7 (I wanted to make sure the boots will last through the winter while wearing warm socks!). The larger size was not an issue for either of them. One of the reviewers mentioned that the boots are too heavy. They are heavy, but it didn't deter either of my kids, even my slender daughter. These boots were just what I was looking for: they are easy to stuff any pants in because of the flap at the front that can be opened wide, and at the same time they can be tightly sinched at the top to prevent snow from getting in. They are not 100% waterproof above the rubber bottom. The snow gets bunched up at the front behind the velcro strap and the boot gets somewhat damp there, but it didn't bother my kids, and they seem to be warm and comfortable in the boots. I'm definitely buying more for next year!

Our son has extremely wide feet. We have struggled finding regular shoes for him, to the point that the only ones that fit are DC Pure V that open up completely to fit his foot in. Nothing else has fit, stride rite, new balance... nothing. My wife was almost in tears when these boots went on and he loves them. Will definitely buy again, we've tried and returned so many others.

I bought two pair of these for my 5 and 7 year old boys. They are easy to put on, comfortable to wear all day, and keep the snow out / feet dry. They're a really nice quality.

I bought these for my 4 year old son and he loves them. He is able to take them on and off easily. They keep his feet warm and dry, even in the deepest snow. Love Zappos and their service. We had an issue with delivery and after a call, they send us a new pair and customer service was really awesome to work with.

My 8 year old son wears AFOs (leg braces) on both legs so finding snow boots to fit over them has been a challenge. He wears size 4.5 sneakers to fit over the braces so we had to go up to size 6 for these boots. They are the best! The wide width was the key! We can put them on with relative ease and he has played out in the snow several times and just loves his new boots. Zappos was wonderful too. I had ordered the boots in size 5 the week before Christmas and then discovered they wouldn't fit with the AFOs. I returned them and the size 6 boots came in time to be wrapped and put under the tree for Christmas! Fast, free and easy return process! Incredible service!

They run small so I would go up a size or 2, especially if your kids have socks on. My 3 year old and 1 year old had no problem walking in them and didn't complain they were cold and it was -8 degree when they were wearing them. They are durable and easy to clean which is ALWAYS a plus.

These boots are great! They keep my son's feet dry and warm. It's nice that they are so high so he can jump and play in the snow and his feet are completely protected. It's also great that the boots come in wide since my son has very flat, wide feet.

My 4 year old LOVES these boot! He says they keep his feet warm and very comfy he will not take the off at school. I like them because his jeans fit in the top so he dosen't have that weird bunching of the jeans at the top of the boot. I also bought the pink pair for my daughter who is 2 and she loves hers too!

I ordered these for my three year old grandson with wide feet after reading all the reviews for boots. He loves them and wears them all the time. They keep his feet dry, they are easy to take on and off and they must be comfortable because he never complains. Great quality and great Zappos service!

My 2.5 year old son has wide feet, these boots have fit the best. I also like that there are three places to tighten/loosen the boot (strap across ankle, velcro at top, and back cord to keep the snow out). And they are still easy for my son to put on and pull off. My son loves them...happy kid, happy mom!

I brought the boot for my grandson, 3yrs old. fit perfect. A good boot to move around in and I like it because it wasn't a removable lining. keeps his feet warm to a -22degrees. very happy would buy another pair.

These are great boots for my five year old. They are one of the few brands that come in wide and don't have the annoying removable liner that makes boots so hard to get on. The wide Velcro opening also makes it easy for my son to get the boots on himself. We had these before in a smaller size and liked them so much, I bought them again!

This is my second purchase of these boots, just a few sizes bigger. My son loves them and they keep him warm and dry.

My son is 2 and has very wide feet. I really wanted to get him Bogz but they are just too tight for him. These ones are perfect! His feet slide in and out easy and he seems to be comfortable. I really like all the adjusting possibilities, the velcro opening on the top of the boots makes it even easier to put on. I think these boots are perfect for wide feet and thick ankle kids. Great design.

These boots are great. I bought them for my 5½ year old and my 2½ year old and both boys love them. They both have high insteps so I typically need to get them wide shoes/boots. I love how warm and sturdy the boots feel and my kids do not complain that they are too heavy (which was my five year old's principal complaint for some other brands that we tried).

First of all I blinked and they arrived at my door. I had ordered them on a Thursday afternoon and they arrived by noon the very next day! Thank you, Zappos! So both of my sons had outgrown their boots, usually we went with Land's End. These seemed to sell out extremely quickly, one son wanted the yellow/black, had it in cart, and it sold out only hours later. So he went with the blue, he measures a 3W and noticed the other comment and went with the 5W, he has a little room in it and is hoping that we can get next year out of it, too. My five year old measures an almost 13M, went with a 1W in lime green/black. They both love them. They are so easy to get on and off, and we love the pull cord in the back. They both say they are perfect. We are in the middle of a snowstorm and are so excited they have something very cool to wear!

I bought these for my son...he loves them. Where we live we get lots of snow. They keep his feet toasty and dry. This is the second pair we bought in the last few years. We just buy them one size larger than he wears and put on thick socks so the boots have been lasting 2 full winters. Very good quality.

Great boots and warm, comfortable, and have an instep that's high enough for my son to wear. It's the fourth pair I've had to buy, but these we're keeping.

Bought these boots for my son (3 1/2 years old), who has wide feet. These boots fit perfectly and are very easy to get on and off. Plus, the double straps/flaps are great. The top flap is adjustable, so the boots fit snug at the top, and the bottom strap helps keep the boots snug around the ankles. Perfect and worth every penny.

I ordered this last minute for a Spring Break trip. Since I wasn't sure about sizing, I took advantage of Zappos free shipping options and ordered two sizes with plans to keep the pair that fit best. I would say these are typical of snow boots in that you should order up half size. My six year old loved them and said they were comfy, and he can be picky about shoes. They were easy to get on and off. They worked great for us, with the caveat that we were dealing with light snow and warmer temps. I can't speak to durability since we only used them a few times, but they seem really well made so would expect them to hold up well to regular wear and tear.

These boots are very well made, comfy and warm. The wide fit my son (who has a wide foot and a high arch) perfectly and they kept him warm and dry throughout a long day of sledding in the snow on a very cold day. In addition, the rugged bottom of the boot helped him trek to the top of a snowy hill without slipping and sliding around. Highly recommend.
