"I really like them" From 5 Year Old Alex - My five year old son loves them. He says they make him run faster and jump higher. I love the color (grey) for hiding dirt. Easy off and on with the Velcro strap.

Very Cute! We love the shoes, however we first ordered a 3 and it was too small so we got a 4 and it is too big so I would like to see half sizes available.

Perfect - My son loves his "fast" shoes. He calls them fast because he thinks they make him run quick. I call them fast because he can put them on by himself really quickly. The shoe fits perfectly and never slips off. They are really stylish looking too.

Super Cute Toddler Shoes - I love these shoes for my son! They are so cute and come in wide so they are wide enough for his feet. They seem very comfortable for him.

Returned original order for a Wide. Definitely needs to fit properly in the width due to the design of the velcro closure. He loves these, and they definitely make him run faster, and jump higher!

This shoe was at least 2 sizes bigger than advertised. I bought 2 pairs of sneakers for my son at size 7.5 and these shoes looked huge and wont fit him for another year! But they are still very cute and I kept them.

I bought these for my 1 year old boy. They fit great and are super easy to put. He only used them for 2 weeks now, and I did notice two drawbacks: 1) one of the shoes come out fairly easy, and 2)you really need to close the velcro really well, otherwise it will open up easily. Overall I really like the shoes, and I hope that velcro thing doesn't get worse and that he can keep the shoes in place!

These shoes are great, but not 100% what I was hoping for. I bought the same model in the black but got the extra wide in size 6. They were a tad too wide, so I bought these in a wide 6, and they were almost too snug. A regular 6 probably wouldn't have fit my son at all. So if your child has wide chubby feet and an XW in another brand like Stride Rite, stick to the XW in New Balance too. Otherwise, they are too cute!

My 23 month old son wears an 8 or 9 in most sneakers. We ordered the 8.5 in these and they were way too big and wide. Ordered the 8 just now. Hoping they fit better. According to other reviews, these stretch quickly so I recommend ordering the smaller size if your child is in between sizes.

Really cute, fit great. The only problem I have with them is that you have to have them on perfectly and pull the strap over all the way to get the velcro to stick. I wish there was a little extra velcro.

These are great! The only thing I will say about them is they stretch quite a bit after a couple of wears. I bought the regular width for my son, but then felt they were a bit narrow so I returned them and got the wide. But they stretched out and if were to order them again, I would just stick with the regular width.

The velcro issue. These shoes are very cute, comfortable, stable, easy to walk in. I ended up returning them because my own fault, I ordered the wrong size. I should have measured his foot instead of going by his previous shoe size. Zappos.com makes it very easy to do! If you have a toddler, you just measure with a ruler and then find the correct size on the size chart they provide on every page of shoes. My issue with these New Balance shoes is, like a lot of commenters here, the velcro! It's just under the "n" when it should extend the length of the flap to ensure a secure closure. This will probably only be a problem if your child has wide feet, like my boy does.

My son loves them. My only complaint is that my son has a little bit of a narrow foot, so I have to pull the velcro tight and the shoe doesn't give enough leeway to pull the shoe really tight, but overall we do like them.

Cute concept, Bad execution. They seem true to size, but the big toe hole was humongous. I couldn't even walk around in the house with them without clinching my foot to keep it from falling out. The mid strap seemed to fit well, but my toe and the rest of my foot didn't know what to do. Really expensive for just a so-so looking sandal and NOT comfy.

New Balance has always been a brand that I trusted for myself, so I was fine spending money on my toddler's shoes if the quality was the same. Plus my 3.5 YO son absolutely loved these shoes so we had to buy them. They are easy for him to put on and he has never complained about any discomfort. My main issue is that after 8 months (which may sound long to some) and little show of wear on the bottom, the stitching has completely come apart at the top toe area. My son's feet grow very slowly, so he could probably continue to wear these for many months to come if not for the material coming apart. My adult $40+ New Balance shoes have lasted me for many years without this problem, so I would expect that the toddler size should be the same and that my younger son could have worn these at some point. Disappointed that isn't the case. One other point is that even though it is an XW, the velcro is still not long enough for my son's wide foot. We really have to pull it tight across. Otherwise it comes open.

These shoes are cute and are sized appropriately (i.e. they are, in fact, wide). However, the sole is too thick and my son, who has been walking already for 6 months, trips over himself constantly when he wears them. He has wide feet and 6.5W is a hard size to find, but he does better in shoes that are too big than in these with the extra thick sole. Also, I did not receive these shoes in the mail until about 2.5 weeks after I ordered them. I was afraid my son would outgrow them by the time they arrived.

Not good for high arches. These shoes ran about a 1/2 size small. My son is currently wearing a size 8 in Converse and Old Navy, but they are tight, so I tried a 9 in the NB. They were too small, and although they went on his foot, we couldn't even close the strap because he has a high instep. The Velcro part isn't big enough to make the shoe looser/tighter when needed. Wide sizes are too wide for my child's foot, and in this case, it definitely wouldn't behoove someone to buy wider because it isn't possible to cinch the Velcro tight. Bummer because I really love the look of these!
