I always buy the tall boots, and they feel like you can run in them, because of their comfort. I went with the mid this time, and they feel like they were made by a different company. My feet hurt all the time.

I wanted boots for snow, I first purchased the "mid" which in my opinion is really a short, then I exchanged for a "high" which in my opinion is like a riding boot, there is no way your pants were going to fit inside the boot. I returned those and looked elsewhere for a snow boot. The Bogs company is great about returns and I believe the quality is top notch just not what I was looking for or needed.
Disappointed,

I really wanted to love these boots - had wanted them for so long. And they were so comfortable. But my first outing in them was on a 30 degree day where I had to stand on concrete for over 3 hours, in the shade. The day warmed to 50, but my feet were FROZEN. Ice cold red toes when I got home. I had wool wicking socks on with them. Maybe it is because I was standing most of the time, and not walking around. But I would have thought a product this highly rated for cold would have helped. I returned, as I have rain boots with liners that would be just as effective in a similar situation.

This was the pair of boots I exchanged a pair of Juno talls for, but again they didn't work for me. This time I could get my foot into them, however they were too tight in the calf. I passed them along to my mom, but she couldn't get her foot out without a lot of help. Fortunately they fit my sister (she must have gotten the thin calves!) and made a nice Christmas gift for her so I didn't have to return them.

This particular style runs a little small.
It was comfortable initially...it just runs a little small. Usually I wear 7-8, so I ordered a size 8, but I noticed that the toe came almost to the end of the inside of the boot, and that the calf was shaped differently then my son's
Bogs, which are very comfortable, but his boots ran smaller than his shoe size. But I bought him larger boots, but there isn't a lot of growing room.
So I returned my pair and I'm going to order the same style as my son. Bogs are really comfortable when they fit!

These boots are shorter than the previous model. They're very good... but too short.

I bought these boots for an excursion to the Arctic circle this summer. The foot size is perfect. They seem waterproof and are lined well for warmth. Unfortunately, the calf is fairly snug and, with socks, they are uncomfortably tight. I am sorry but I had to return them.

Great boots but do not keep your feet warm in snow and temps below 32 degrees

Very durable and sturdy. A little too masculine for the look I am going for but would be great if I needed something a little more rugged.

We were disappointed that the sizing is not true to size, they run to small. I wish they had half sizesl. We had to exchange the first pair that were a gift for my daughter in law. She returned them, they had nothing in the next size and it took a month almost to receive the next size. very disappointing as far as that went. They were apologetic and gave a small discount but never the less, disappointing as it was a Christmas gift and they didn't fit and it took so long to resend the next size. Also they are not at all warm although they claim good to 40 below zero, not even close. Rubber boots are cold period.

Bought these boots for my girlfriend to use in the winter. Bogs claims these boots are rated for -40. My girlfriend wore them in single digit weather for less than an hour outside and froze her feet off. I helped her take the boots off and yes her feet were froze. These would be a great boot for fall and spring but I wouldn't recommend expecting them to keep your feet warm less than 20 degrees in temp. And yes she was wearing smart wool socks.

I usually wear a size 9.5, so I went with a 10 which fits and is really comfortable but a half size bigger would have been perfect. I also don't consider myself to have huge calves, but they are pretty snug. On the inside where they fold over, the seam has already come undone and i've only worn them once. It's not a huge deal, I can stitch it back up myself but it's a little irritating. All in all, they are comfortable, and keep my feet warm!

this boot looks really good! it is very confortable, but part of the deal was not delivered: my toes got wet while using it on a city walk after a snowing day.

I have had 4 pairs of these boots. They have never lasted longer than 6 months for me I farm and raise cattle 365 days a year. They are very comfortable, waterproof and warm. However for me they do not hold up at all the bottom rubber shoe part always cracks. The upper part tears and gets holes at almost nothing. I think they are WAY over priced. That being said I can't find a Comfortable, tall, warm and waterproof farm boot any better so until I do I'll stick with them.

Okay, so when I first saw Bogs I was completely awestruck! They looked amazing in the photos and videos-- completely durable and fashionable. I mean, everything you could want in a rainboot/slight cold-temp resistant LIGHTWEIGHT boot. The reason I liked the Summit especially was BECAUSE it was lightweight and didn't seem heavy.
Anyway, I get my shoes and they look great, just like the images. However I look closely and, fresh out of the box, I notice that the glue holding the sole to the fabric is coming apart just a bit. And a few seams are pulled. It wasn't too bothersome because I was so excited about them, but still, it threw me off. The real test came when I put on the boots. And I did this WITHOUT SOCKS. O-M-G, they felt amazing! (Keep in mind I'm coming home from a long day of school and work, so I'm excited, but I'm tired.)
I take off one side of the boot, reveling at how soft the lining is, and then in the removal process I notice that the sole is removable. SO, I remove the sole and try the boot on again. Note: STILL WITHOUT A SOCK. That was a bad idea! While it felt wonderful, my foot started to get real nice and extra toasty, and when I decided to take the boot off all hell broke loose.
I am a European size 39 (US size 8-8.5), but depending on certain shoes and boots, I can go up to a EU 40 (US size 9!). I usually don't ever go wrong in choosing shoes/boots based off of EU sizing. So, if I had gotten my Summits in an 8.5 it would have been a too perfect fit. The size 9 was the best fit! Some wiggle room for my toes, but it was a nice close fit. And by no means are my feet extra wide. I consider myself to have regular sized feet, medium-width if you will.
I tried to pull off the shoe without the sole in place, but the seam where the ankle meets the shaft was so close-fitting that I had to seriously struggle to take off the boot! *In the removal process the handles are useless* You have to pull the boot off using your hand to pull the boot's heel off your foot, or use your other foot to press down on the heel while pulling your foot out. Although my foot didn't sweat at all, without the sole-bottoms the lining was so furry that it clung to my foot like a sock. Taking my time pulling it off I notice the seams are loosening and pulling apart! AND NOW I'M COMPLETELY ALARMED. I had to take my time to roll down the shaft, which is hard becuse the shaft isn't really meant to roll over on itself more than twice, (I was beyond tired at this point) and take the boot off.
Studying the seams I've noticed that they're slightly decorative but they seem to still serve a purpose of keeping parts of the boot together. Like, if you were to pull the stitching out there'd be a huge hole somewhere. In any event, I wouldn't want to find out!
In the beginning I was willing to overlook the slight pulling when I first got the shoes & even the glue coming apart, but I'm disappointed that on my first time wearing them they gave so much trouble (even if I wore them without a sock).
Maybe I got a funny batch of Bogs with loose stitching but I'm going to send mine back.
I don't have money to throw and when I spend $100 on a shoe I'd like to think I'm getting some kind of quality that will last me.. well, a while... But I'm kind of disappointed with the stitching & the boot construction. I'm going to call Bogs when I get the chance to ask about warranty or something, because if someone were to wear their boots and a seamed pulled, what would happen then!?
3 stars, I'd say 3.5/5 truly, only because I really like the boot but I'm extremely weary of the construction/glue & how it would hold up after trying to pull the boot off, even with a little force.

I've just returned from walking the dogs. It's currently -11 here in Montreal. This is pretty standard weather here, and I would have expected a boot rated to -40 to be suitable for this kind of weather - but they are not. I've enjoyed them on the warmer days (say 0 to -5), when staying dry is more of an issue. These are simply not suitable for long periods of walking out in the real cold. I would recommend these if the longest you are out is 15-20 minutes. Any longer than that, I would not.

Like them but they are a tad too big in the 11 and the 10 was too small but you don't have 1/2 sizes.

Pros: There's a little nub behind each side of the heel that prevents your heel from rubbing as you walk and pushing your sock down, thats a good idea
Cons: Toe box is too narrow and the soles are way too thick and stiff, incredibly uncomfortable. Seems to run small, half sizes are badly needed.
I really liked the original Bogs that I have been using for a long time, aside from the problem that was solved by the "pros" part of the review. They have a good simple design and the handles are awesome. But they need to take into account the ergonomic structure of the human foot and the importance of good toe spread in overall posture and comfort

I have this same boot, same size, from 12 years ago that I bought at a local store, I decided to purchase another pair bc mine are wearing out this boot came and was bulky, huge around my foot, not just in length but overall and clumsy. I returned. Not sure how to order another one bc it fit so large when it was the same style and size as my last pair that fits so well.

I'm so disappointed with Bogs these days. I've been wearing these boots for years and the quality control and sizing has gone downhill to the point I can no longer get a pair that fits. The foot bed is so wide and sloppy my size 8's are like boats on my feet, yet the size 7 is way too small. Sending back yet another pair.

Sizing was way off. I've always worn a size 8 in this style Bogs, but this pair was huge and shapeless in the foot bed area. I am returning them. Customer service was not as helpful in this return process either in regard to the return shipping costs due to their quality control issue. I was expected to pay to have them returned on top of already paying to have them delivered. After extensive back and forth they did however send a prepaid label to return them. I will think twice before shopping online here again.
