Thanks to Zappos, I had rain boots in time for Hurricane Matthew on the Carolina coast! These Canadian-made rain boots are super cute and the turquoise is a gorgeous bright color. I ordered my usual size 8 and they were fine, but agree with others that they are a bit narrow, and possibly a 1/2 size up would work also.

Fantastic boots, especially for the price. There's a reason they have 5 stars with >700 reviews. I bought these in 2010 to embrace Seattle winters. They've worked great. I LOVE that they have a slimmer calf so I don't feel like I'm walking around with my feet in buckets. After 6 years of lots of use, they suddenly got small cracks where the boot bends with my toes. They still work in light rain, but not submerged (I fly fished in them and got wet for the first time wearing them). I think that's pretty good durability, especially considering that my commercial fisherman friend swears by another (much more expensive brand), but says that brand also only lasts about 5-6 years. Also, these are made in North America! Pretty great!

These are great boots, but after wearing them with shorts all day at a very muddy music festival, they began to rub and irritate the front of my shins. I cut the feet off a pair of stretchy socks and stretched them over the top to provide some emergency cushioning and it worked great! They don't usually bother me with jeans tucked in and a pair of thick socks. The cushion and arch support in them is better than any other pair I tried on.

Got these for the Memphis in May concerts aka Memphis in Mud and they worked great. Lots of walking and reasonably comfortable. I did not have an issue with calf size. I ordered my normal shoe size and they seemed a little big but think that the next size down would be too small.

The blue color is due to a cloth mesh covered in a thin plastic layer. It means that these shoes don't feel heavy of clunky. However, wherever the cloth is put under repeated bending stress, the color seems to become a little lighter.

These are fantastic! I have narrow feet and calves and they fit like a dream. I can't stand having my legs swimming around in boots.I usually have to wear something around my calf to fill in the gap and while I did with these, it was just a thin sock.

This is a beautiful, glossy red rain boot! I ordered an 8 (my usual size) and it fits fine with no socks. However, you could wear thin socks if needed, but probably not thick ones. It hits about mid calf.

Overall, I really like these rainboots, and will probably order another pair once they eventually wear out. The fit is pretty slim. I think this makes it much easier to walk (they don't constantly slip around like others I've worn), but if you have larger calves, or want to wear really thick socks, they may be difficult to fit into. The arch support isn't amazing, but it's not completely flat either. I find these to be pretty comfortable for rain boots. They were comfortable enough to wear around all day. I got the yellow color, and unfortunately got black scuffs on them from the heel on the first day wearing them. When I walk, the heel on one foot often hits the top of the other foot. If you don't normally scuff your heels against the rest of your shoes while walking, this is less of a concern. The black part so far hasn't rubbed off on floors, or anything else.

I spent a lot of time deciding which rain boots to buy for walking around on campus through puddles. I finally decided on these because of the overall good ratings they've received. I've worn them about 5 times now and they serve their purpose, to keep my feet dry. I have a few complaints though. I ordered my usual size 7 but found that these are tight. Not short, as there is enough room for my toes, but they squeeze my foot in an uncomfortable way which is odd for me as I have always thought of my feet as skinny and narrow. Also, there isn't a lot of room in the calf area to tuck in jeans or wear thick socks, which was a problem for me because since these aren't warm at all I need thicker socks for the weather here. If you have wide feet and/or wide calves or are looking to wear these in colder weather, I wouldn't recommend these for you.

Fits nicely and very cute. Previous reviews mentioned the tip fits too tightly, but I did not have this issue. Skinny leg pants fit perfectly. I can also fit boot leg pants into them as well.

Cute boot, although quite narrow! I am still able to wear but would suggest choosing a different boot if you have a wider foot!

I bought these in the yellow and love the color and lightness of them. It's almost a little translucent without being transparent. The footbed feels a little tight, but I ordered a 9 and I'm in between 9 and 9 1/2. The calf was digging in and too tight. I don't have large calves, but while walking, your muscles expand and that caused it to dig. I loved them otherwise, and so took a sharp scissors to the back and made an even "U" cut in them and they still look adorable and not like I did anything to them. Now the calves fit without cutting off my circulation. Inside is cushiony like a good sneaker not what I expected at all.

I also have these in red in what turned out to be a taller style from a year ago. These actually hit my calves in an uncomfortable place and I wish they were taller or shorter. But they are cute and durable.

I'm really impressed with these boots. I think they are super cute; I love the color a lot a lot and this is the yellow I was hoping for. I am between 7 and 7.5, but I ordered a size 8 and they fit well with some room to wear socks. But one thing I have to mention that the calf is a little narrow like the others mentioned. Because I don't have a slim/thin calf but I still keep them; they are too cute to keep!!! Yeah, and they are made in Canada.

Very cute boot, not tight on my calves at all but I have little legs. I can wear jeans tucked into them, even wide leg jeans. The boot hits mid calf, I might have liked them a little taller but they are still cute. These don't seem to run big for the shoe part of the boot. Maybe just a bit narrow - I ordered up half a size since only whole sizes were offered. The boots were a little long, but one boot was tight on the top of my foot. So be cautious of the frequent advice to order larger on size. I wish half sizes were offered. I don't have wide feet at all, but have some knobs on my feet after years of dance that made the fit tight on one side. These were tough to pull off, my boot jacks were a life saver. Very cute boot, seems sturdy, got red which is a dark tomato red - not purple enough to my eye to qualify as burgundy. Lovely color. Arch support, I wish there was an option for slight. There was a little, but the flip flops I found online had more. I try to find arch support in all my shoes, and I will not be able to fit orthotics into these. They keep my feet from pronating just a little.

I love these! They are a pretty dark tomato red, not as purple as a burgundy to my eye. They are not tight at all on my calf, but I have small legs. I ordered up on the size and probably would have preferred to get the 8 1/2 instead of the 9, but only whole sizes available from what I can see now. They are long for length, but a bit snug on the top of my foot. I have narrow feet but some prominent bones that stand up a bit from too many years of ballet dance. Anyway be cautious of the frequent advice to order up in size, these were almost too long at a 9 and I wear between an 8 and 8 1/2 usually. I wish there was an option for minimal arch support. They keep my feet from rolling in just a tad, but I have flip flops with better arch support than these boots. They are very cute but hard to pull off. I finally have an excuse to use the boot pulls I ordered!

I'm normally a size 9, and I could get into a size 9, but my toe was hitting the front of the boot. I tried a size 10, which was better, although looser. Then again, I still had a terrible time trying to get the boot off, even with bare feet. I loved the red color, but I went with the fabric Katie instead.

I love my boots. They can scuff easier than other rain boots. My sister has had a pair longer than me and hers have black permanent marks on them from the bottom of the boot touching/rubbing on the colored part. You are sometimes able to see your socks/pants through them. I do not regret buying them.

Good Rain boot for petite or skinny calved women. I would give 5 stars but I have thin calves(13") yet if I wear these too long the black top rim rubs the skin of my calf causing a rug burn. Not a problem if I have long pants/jeans on. May not be the choice for women with big calves.

I could walk all day in these boots! They don't flop around on my feet like I expected galoshes to, and they are super flexible and pretty lightweight for rain boots. I am normally either a 8.5 or a 9, depending on the shoe and the brand, usually a 9. And these boots fit true to size, with a 9 being just right. My calves are about 13 inches around where the top of the boot sits, and there is a little extra room, but not too much like most boots that are made for people with much bigger legs than I have. These fit great. I love the contrast of the black sole and rim with the brightly colored boot, and I love how the boot is actually clear and the color comes from the fabric under the rubber, so the light kinda bounces around in there and makes them glow. ONLY... I tried them in green. Online they look like a soft pastel sort of minty green with just a tad of aqua mixed in. I don't know if it is just my monitor, but when I got them in person they are GREEN. Like, Crayola marker green. They are a fun color, don't get me wrong, but I thought they were mint. :( I'm really just not a big fan of super bright marker green. I am returning them but I am praying that they come out with these boots in AQUA or TEAL because they are so comfortable, and that is my favorite color and there is no blue anywhere in their lineup! I would buy them in a heartbeat. Twice.

Adorable and comfortable, however, there is no arch support. May not be an issue to all, but for someone with a high arch, this is not the boot for you.

1. Very cute boot that gets a lot of attention. 2. You should know that this boot is not actually pink -- it's clear, the plastic is CLEAR and there is a thin layer of pink fabric on the inside of that clear plastic. Which means, that as time goes by and the inside of your boot gets dirty, or you wear black socks which rub off on tha pink fabric, it will show through the clear plastic on top and look dirty. Not cute. 3. The mid-calf thwack of the black band at the top of the boot takes a lot of getting used to. I usually tuck my jeans into this boot just to cut down on the thwack and rubbing of that black band at the top of the boot against my legs. That black band has also left a thin black ring around my calf before. Not cute. 4. Even with these problems, would I buy this boot again? Yes. It's Hot Pink! And very stylish. They didn't have my size (6.5) so I got a 7 and put inserts in. Off to the races.

I really liked the color of these boots. I'm typically a size 9 1/2 in shoes. I ordered these in a 10. They also fit well in my feet, but they were too tight in my calves. I returned the boots.

These boots are stylish and have a nice shape. As others have noted, they are very narrow in the calf. I have fairly slim calves and they are quite snug--I can only really wear them with leggings, tights, or "skinny" pants. The boots keep your feet dry, but do not breathe, which adds a bit of discomfort. Even though they do not breathe, at the same time they're not very warm--I wore them in snow and my feet were quite chilly. I would recommend them for rain over snow. Overall a nice boot, though.

I loved the way these boots looked. The red was absolutely gorgeous! I wanted to wear them right away! Unfortunately, I couldn't handle they way they hit me mid-calf. I have particularly slim legs, so the shaft of these boots was not at all snug on me. Every step caused my calf to "rock" in them so I felt like I was constantly getting clipped in the back of my calf by the top-most ridge of my boot. Just walking in them felt like someone was kicking me in the back of my calf with each step. I've decided to return them and purchase a knee-high boot instead. I don't blame the boot so much as the overall height & style. It's just not comfortable for me. I'm sticking with knee-high or ankle boots from now on...no in between.
