I was a little leary about this order after reading everyone's reviews concerning sizing. I will say the following: They are beautiful. I ordered a 7.5 and that is the size I would normally wear. They are difficult to get on, but once on, they fit beautifully. I have a narrow foot and very small calves and they look great, so many boots are huge around my calves. They are stiff, and I suppose that's where the sizing confusion comes into play. Hard to get my foot down the upper and then bend into the actual foot space. Also hard to get off. Reminds me of when my grandfather use to ask me to help him removing his cow boy boot! I will keep them and assume they stretch, but even if they don't I love them.

These boots have definitely been worn. Heels are worn down on the back and scuff on boot by the sole. I really like the look, very cool boots! But I don't want used boots. Disappointing

Due to others comments, I ordered a size larger than my normal (11 instead of 10). They are going back since I wasn't wowed by them, but they will make someone happy I'm sure. In the end not worth the high price.

I disagree with the reviews that said they run small, I found the opposite to be true. I would not size up but go down a half size. Other than being large they were comfortable. Oddly enough compared to other Frye products I own these look cheaper?

I'm 4'10" so the shaft height would have worked well as an almost "knee-high" for me. Unfortunately it is too narrow on top and I'm returning mainly due to size. However, the distress is much more than the image depicts. Feels very rough. The inner is also rough. I'd worry that my socks/stockings will snag.

I ordered this boot in a size 7, as I already own and love Frye cowboy boots in a size 7. Perhaps it's a style difference -- I really do not know, but I could not get my foot into these boots at all. I pulled out my other Frye's and sole to sole this boot is considerably shorter. If you order, size up for sure, and be ready to shoe-horn your way in and out for awhile!

These boots are beautiful, but unfortunately the shaft is very narrow and it is almost impossible to slip your feet into the boot. I have narrow ankles and still could not get the boot onto one foot. I ordered a half size up and they still didn't work.

I ordered two colors in this style, the grey had such a small shaft I couldn't get my foot in. The brown fit great. First time this has ever happened, I have nothing but Frye boots.

Bought these in Charcoal Old Town and they are gorgeous!....great leather...very expensive looking! I am keeping them since they are so great looking; however, I have sadly decided never to buy another pair of Frye boots again and here is why. I am a size 8M but after reading reviews, I decided it best to go larger so I bought 9M. Once I got them on, they were a little too big so I exchanged for 8.5. It was an absolute horror trying to get them on but once I did they fit great. Last fall I bought the Frye Sabrina and it was the same problem. I actually have to put plastic bags on my feet with both pairs of boots in an effort to get them to slide on more easily. For the price, it's just not worth it!

I wear a 9.5 M but I couldn't even get my foot into the boot to try it on. I would suggest the next size up.

These boots were very cute, but they just didn't work out for me. I usually wear a 6.5, but I ordered a 7 based on all of the reviews. They were a little hard to get on, the shaft was a bit tight, and the footbed was a little loose once I got them on. These were all things that I could deal with. It was the difficulty in getting them off that ultimately made me decide to return them. It took me 15 minutes and several panic attacks to remove them! I know that this is usually the case with cowboy boots when you first start wearing them, but this was ridiculous. I was sweating and almost crying thinking about having to cut these beautiful and very expensive boots off my feet!

I was extremely excited for these boots, especially will the fast shipping. The boots are damaged. The is a rip in the leather on both boots. And the soles show they have been worn. Definitely returning. (Ordered a 9.5, usually a 9. But 9.5 fit perfectly.

How frustrating! I wanted these boots to fit. The color was perfect and the narrow shaft would have fit my thin legs. I tried both my regular size 6 and a 6.5, but I could not get either pair over my arch to rate anything except the style. Years ago I owned a pair of Frye boots and they fit perfectly, but they seemed to have changed the fit making it impossible to get them on over my arch.

Yes, they run small. I knew that, so I ordered a full size up. It was the last pair! I was so excited. Until Zappos sent the wrong size. That keeps happening, so I am assuming they are trying to ditch me as a customer. Plus, they are now out of the right size. And 1½ sizes up, too. Oh well. Amazon has them on sale.

I wish I would have read the comments and ordered a larger size. I was only able to get one foot in and getting them off was no easy task. Great boots, but definitely go up at least half size.

I wear in 6.5 in other Frye boots and have had no issue. I bought a 6.5 in the Billy and can barely fit my foot all the way in! The length in the foot area fits my foot it's just near impossible to get my foot in there. I have really skinny legs too!
