Awesome hat! Brixton makes a high quality hat that looks great. I originally ordered a XL which was too big but the Zappos exchange process was quick and easy and my large showed up the next day. I also bought the Brixton Hooligan which is a nice looking hat as well. So, for guys that want a nice looking casual hat, I highly recommend the Castor.

A high quality stylish hat that is reasonably priced. The only straw hat I could find that is fully lined offering protection from the harmful rays of the sun. Even more expensive brands of straw hats are not lined.

Beautiful hat, fits great for xl, 2 caveats, it is 1. Actually black not grey, and 2. A little dressier than I was expecting!

Love the hat. It's been a really nice change from the typical ball cap I usually wear to the pool and beach. Cool, classic look with a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses. Unlike sone reviewers, I have not experienced any discomfort even on 90+ degree days. The large fit my big noggin well. One watch-out. If you're taking it off to go in the water, it will run on you. I usually need to put my sunglasses inside and cover it with a shirt or towel to keep it from blowing away. And like others have said you need to wear it while traveling as it won't pack. It's not great in cars either. I'm 6' and just miss having enough headroom in my Accord. No concern with condition when it arrived as Zappos seems to have heard your feedback and found a very nice hat box to use. Awesome service as you'd expect. The only downside in writing this review is that more of you may buy it reducing my own coolness factor ever so slightly.

This is indisputably a fine hat. I picked this up before a trip overseas, both for style and to protect my head from the ravages of the sun. It arrived safely after traveling in the overhead luggage bin (I would not suggest trying to pack it) and got a number of compliments every time I wore it. The fit is great, it was comfortable to wear even in the heat and look amazing, especially when worn at a properly jaunty angle. Scientists are even now researching the ideal angle for maximum jauntiness, once I hear back I'll let everyone know! I had to make a stab at the size and got it wrong the first time, but the awesome Zappos customer service took care of me and I was able to do an exchange for the right size just a couple of days before I left.

Very versatile and stylish, the brim can be worn up or down in front. Ordered last-minute for a cruise, Zappos had it here with time to spare. Great service as always!

Great and stylish! I get tons of compliments on this hat. I wear it everywhere when I go out for dinner/drinks, etc. It was just a bit large, but added a bit of padding and it fits perfect. Goes with any summer outfit.

This is my third Brixton Castor... I have the original tan and the dark brown and now this sage... Brixton sizing is always inconsistent, I have a total of 8 fedoras from them, 6-Large and 2-Mediums... in this sage color the one I originally received was too big and brim had too much going on, I needed a more uniformed brim so I exchanged for a Medium, better fit.

Ordered a medium to start, it was too big. Zappos made exchanging it very easy. I tried a small which was too small...huh. That's that, I returned the second hat for a refund.

My hat came crushed and out of shape. The box was fine. Also I think it runs on the small side, I found it to be barely big enough (size Large).

Sadly I couldn’t tell how it fit or what it looks like as it came crushed in the box. No damage to the box, they packed it that way.

Zappos sent me a completely smashed hat!! The box it came it was perfectly large enough and showed no damage. Zappos just decided it was ok to send it to me damaged! Very disappointed!
