True that you have to “break” your Birks. I think what you do is work parts of your legs in a difficult way. It took me about a week. Nevertheless, they always felt great as support for me feet. I LOVE mine and I am planning on another pair as soon as I can afford them.

They are really nice just like everyone said. Can be dressy casual or relaxed. I have like the worst feet and these were easy on em. Didn't wanna take em off.

I wear 37R in all other Birkenstocks but needed a 38R in the oiled leather Boston. They felt shorter. Quick and easy exchange with Zappos.

Great Fit - long lasting!

I have been wearing Birkenstocks since the 90s and know once these break in they will be a favorite. I wear size 37 Regular in all of my Birkenstocks including 2 pairs of Amalfi leather Bostons. These oiled leather ones in 37R were too small. I know the leather will break in but they seemed shorter in length and I know I will be wearing with socks in the winter. Exchanged for a 38R and they are perfect!

I absolutely love these in the oiled leather! They feel more durable than the traditional suede. Once I put them on, they were instantly comfy. I’ve had a lot of back problems and I need shoes with more support. These are perfect!

The fit and feel are perfect! I had to get used to the footbed but once I did they felt amazing. I don’t know if it was a coincidence but after wearing them any foot pain I had from fatigue seemed to lesson significantly. The materials feel premium and well worth the money. I’ll definitely be buying another color way.

Holy cow, are these comfortable!! I read and scoured reviews about the Birkenstock Boston (Oiled Leather) shoe for about a month. Saw all the different opinions and reviews about the various models and materials and decided on this one. My main concern was the width because I have wide feet. I did read how many people said to get the regular width because it actually was wider; they were definitely right!!! Regular width definitely fit a wide foot and not only that, I even had to move the adjustable buckle in a little because it has that much room. I did start to wear them a little at a time to break them in. I really didn't need that much time. I would definitely recommend just wearing them around the house for a slight break in period; then if you want to wear them all the time, that should be sufficient. Size-wise: if a shoe is wide enough, I typically wear anywhere between a 7 - 7.5 Wide. Of course, sizes can vary from various brands, but just to give you an idea, in both Brooks and Hoka athletic shoes, I have to order an 8D. I ordered a 7 - 7.5 Regular for these Birkenstock Boston - Oiled Leather shoes and they fit perfectly (the buckle adjusts).

Great arch support and true to size. The oiled leather is lighter in person (a very uniform tan) and less brown than in the picture.

I will need a darker color. the Boston is great for me I've had several pair. Just need another color

Takes a little tie to break in. Same great comfort and sizing for me as the Arizona. Pleased with the fit and quality so far.

Love my Birks The regular/wide fits my wide feet perfectly.

This is my third pair of Boston sandals. They are incredible stiff at first and I recommend you wear them for short periods until they begin to break in. However, once they are broken in, you won't want to wear anything else.

My plantar fascitis had been out of control and the only shoes that have felt good have been my Birk sandals which just don't work for the office. Snagged this pair to wear at the office and they have really helped the situation but I do wish I would have found a black pair with a soft footbed as the regular footbed is a little stiff & I'm getting too old for that. Always love birks!

Super comfortable and I'm on my feet all day

I bought two colors - taupe suede soft footbed (39 Narrow) and habana oiled regular footbed (38 standard width). Important to note the size difference between these two, the 39 in Habana was really clunky and big, so I exchanged for 38) I love that I can slide them on with socks in colder weather. The suede are much more comfortable out of the box than the oiled leather, but I know the oiled leather will soften with time. The only complaint is I’ve bought 3 pair of birkenstocks from Zappos in the last month and every single pair was shipped in a plastic Amazon envelope resulted in the boxes being destroyed upon arrival. The shoes were not even inside the boxes anymore when they arrived (just floating about the bag) because the boxes were torn and smashed. So keep that in mind if buying a gift - and also if you need to return in the smashed box.
