I own lots of birkenstock sandals for their comfort and decided on the Boston for the colder climate. Boston w/o the sherling runs big! So I would order a size down. Also, I have the Boston with shearling and they smell! No socks with shearling does not go well not to mention the sherling does wear out quickly.

This shoe was sold as unisex. I purchased it in narrow width which was still too wide for my woman's foot. So, if you are a female with narrow feet, don't buy the unisex shoes by Birkenstock (even in narrow width) because they will be too wide.

I ordered this shoe after having tried Birkenstock sandals over the summer. Since the sandals provided noticeable benefit & relief to my problem feet (plantar fasciitis), I decided I'd try something I could wear in winter with warm socks. This slide is just about perfect. It is very comfy, gives great support, is easy to put on and take off, and roomy enough for bulky, warm socks.
Which leads me to the one small complaint - they seem bigger than I expected. I ordered the same size as my summer sandals, but these are VERY roomy. May be just fine when the really cold weather hits, and I want to wear even bulkier socks.
As for appearance, the quality of the leather is great. They style is OK (what you see is what you get). I thought they might look acceptable with skirts, but, not IMHO. They look great with jeans, though.

I own this shoe in black from Zappos which I love, I ordered the tan color and it came
thrown in a box, looks like a used purchase. For a price tag of $150.00 plus tax I would expect them to be in the
original box and the usual packaging. I returned and will purchase elsewhere.

It felt much wider and less supportive than one I tried on in a store. Not sure why. I wear Birks all the time as sandals.

I was very tempted to keep this shoe, however, there was a bump in the footbed right under the big toe that made it uncomfortable. Sigh.

I’ve tried for over a month to break these shoes in. If I hadn’t worn them I would definitely send them back. The toe bar makes it very uncomfortable and I can’t hammer it in because it’s a clog. Really disappointed so far. Praying with continued wear they give a little. They also run a little bigger than other Birkenstocks

I’ve been wanting these Boston clogs for a hot minute. I have my summer birks, and needed some fall/winter babies to take me into the cold season. I have wide feet, so these of course fit like a dream. My only issue is they came pretty scuffed up. Like, almost as if they were used. I’m not sure if that’s how these are supposed to look, but they’re so scruffy I may send them back. We will see. They’ll probably get scuffed with age, but I just expected them to look a bit better as a new pair of shoes.

The left shoe had a fault in the insole that irritated the middle toes.

These have the excellent Dansko footbed, but ultimately I didn’t find the style that cute. If I want to be comfortable I will just opt for the clogs. The tops of the booties were kind of odd on me and scratched my ankles.

These shoes are great except for the color. I ordered the tobacco color and ended up returning them because the oiled leather looks worn. The shoes looked like an old pair of shoes because of the worn look of the leather. Some people might like that look, but I didn't.

Not as ugly as I thought & very comfortable. Recommended for some foot problems I'm having, but not looking forward to wearing them due to their clunky appearance. I also got another pair of opened toed ones & they are more attractive.
Since they do seem to help my feet, overall I am happy

Love these shoes, would have been nice it they sent a pair that was in a Birkenstock box! I received a pair that was in a clear plastic bag, so who knows the origin of these shoes. Customer service was very nice, apologetic, but they did not have another pair to send, and since I had used my points when purchasing, I received a credit on my account instead of reinstating my points and refunding the original purchase amount to my credit card. I ordered another pair directly from Birkenstock. This is not the traditional quality service and product that is typical with Zappos. I am very disappointed with all aspects of the experience!

I recently bought the black oiled leather Bostons, thinking they would be a good replacement for my very old, very well loved Oklahomas. Well, it didn’t work out too well. The bottoms don’t flex like the Oklahoma clog, they’re made cheaper. I can hardly walk in them. I have been wearing Birkenstocks for about 22 years and had many pairs. When I went to replace some of my older pairs, I discovered- Hey, guess what?? They don’t make them anymore!! I have had 2 pairs of Derby’s, 3 pairs of Alton’s, 1 pair of Madiera’s, 1 pair of London’s, 2 pairs of Oklahoma’s and some I don’t remember the name of. So, my question is: Why have you stopped making some of the best and favorite shoes I love, to become a second rate mostly sandal company? I’m serious!! You have nothing I like anymore! I had to find another company that still makes actual shoes and clogs that are actually wearable! (In case you’re interested, I switched to Alegria- although I’m disappointed that they’re made in China.)
I am so disgusted with Birkenstocks that I doubt I will ever buy them again.
IMO - the best shoes you ever made were Alton’s and Oklahomas.
That’s it, my sincere review!
Unless or until you bring back some of your classics, I’m afraid that I’m not the only customer you have lost.

I have worn a Boston taupe suede in the original footbed exclusively for the past four years. It has now gotten to the point that the cork is crumbling beneath me. My need for a new pair seems to coincide with either a shortage or planned obsolescence of the Boston suede shoe size 39 in the original footbed. I tried these oiled leather in Tobacco but the leather had strange spots (some sort of quality control issue I assume that rests with Birkenstock) and was so stiff and hard it was a challenge to even try on must less take off. There was no give or pliability, and I found it painful even resting on the top of my foot. They have been returned.

I have had 3 pairs of this style-Birki that fit well. This oiled leather is way too small for my feet. I also noticed that this pair have a difference of the shape of the toe area. The left shoe is more pointed then the right. There is also 1/8 inch extension of the right sole over the left sole.

I purchased these shoes February 2018. Today is September 25, 2019. So I have had these shoes for almost 2 years. I bought cork sealer. Did not wear the shoes in the rain or bad weather. I work at a desk so really didn't wear them hard. Yesterday I noticed the cork is crumbling. I called Zappos customer service who told me that there was nothing they could do to help me and gave me the number for Birkenstock. Called Birkenstock explained that for $130 their shoes should last way longer. Remember I did not wear them all summer! They are box kept. I don't hike in them. Well Birkenstock told me the same thing..oh we can send you links to get quotes to get them repaired. These were my first pair of Birkenstock leather clogs. They will be my last. Sorry Zappos you let me down. So I'm done with you also!

I previously purchased Birkenstock sandals, and fell in love with them. But at the high price point, didn't feel that the clogs were justified, too. So, I purchased a pair of off-brand dupes that were anything but comfortable - no arch support, less structure, and a waste of money. I should have saved the $40 and bought these Boston clogs to begin with!

My first time trying Birkenstocks and although I had to get used to clogs, I've really been enjoying these Bostons. Looks great with jeans - especially lighter wash jeans with the cuffed rolled up. If you have narrow feet I would definitely recommend the narrow fit versions because the standard fit is quite wide. But at least you can adjust the strap to make it tighter. But overall, the Bostons are very well made with quality materials and craftsmanship and I'm not a fan of Birkenstock as a brand.
