These fit a full size larger than expected. With some shoes this is not a deal-breaker as there is some margin for error, but with Birkenstocks, the fit must be near-to-perfect because of the foot-bed's unique design. I'd purchased a pair of Bostons, just like these, back in 200 and had loved and worn them for roughly 5 years. I'd hoped these (just ordered and returned) would be a replacement No dice. Though I ordered the same size as last go round, they were enormous. Birkenstocks seem to have been, like so many lines, "up-sized" over the past decade.

These shoes were way too wide, I slopped all over in them. So I am trying again. My feet are very narrow, buying shoes is difficult but I need them. These are not narrow as indicated.

Unfortunately these are probably one of the most uncomfortable pairs of shoes that I have ever purchased. I am a lover of Birkenstock finding the current shoes I own so comfortable that they are practically all I wear. So when I decided that I needed a new pair of work shoes, I decided to purchase the oiled leather clogs. Based on the soft look of the leather, and the many great reviews, I purchased them hoping that they would be as comfortable as the Birkenstock shoes that I wear now. Sadly this was not the case. The leather part of the shoe is not soft at all, it is hard and stiff making them extremely uncomfortable to walk in. I thought that maybe wearing them for a few days might help with softening the leather but after the fourth day of wearing this shoe, I could no longer walk, as the tops of my foot were bruised and felt almost blistered. I am utterly disappointed for paying this much on a pair of shoes that I will no longer be able to wear, I am so sad to have wasted my money. To anyone thinking about purchasing these particular shoes, I would consider the suede version of this clog. The leather is much softer and a lot more comfortable. I hope this was helpful.
