Arch didn’t hit right on my foot.

This is the first pair of Birkenstocks I've owned, friends have always recommended them, so I gave them a shot. I'm wearing them right now, and I'll wear them till they fall apart, but I wish there was an option to describe the arch support other than "excellent." I'd call this aggressive, evangelical, arch support. Not so excellent for my flat feet, in other words.

My feet are mens 10.5 and just exactly fit, possibly a 44 cm size would be better? Depends on personal preference at this point. Wish Birkenstock would make a 43.5 cm shoe ... I hope this pair of Bostons last longer than my last pair, which "only" lasted about 10 years of daily use until the glue failed that holds the leather uppers to the footbed. My first pair purchased in the 1980s lasted more like 20 years.

Fits loosely, but that's part of the style. These shoes are nothing if not relaxed. I'm enjoying them!

These are immediately comfortable to wear. They are roomier than needed on the top of the foot. I've worn various Birkenstock sandals for a few years and love the arch support and foot bed and many style options of their sandals. I was reluctant to buy the clog type due to the total lack of style and their few options for winter shoes. How about a lace up or more stylish option that has the same footbed? They have two options for those that do not have great availability or good durability reviews. Eventually I settled on these because I needed good shoes for winter days of standing and walking all day on concrete and reluctantly spent the crazy amount of that extra bit of leather ($40-60 more than the sandal options). Birkenstock is the only brand that I've found that still has good arch support (Keens have changed, Ecco is inconsistent...). So, I'm happy with these but still hoping they will make something that looks work-stylish instead of schlubby-sweatpants-and-slippers chic.

super comfortable and wonderful arch support. not visually the best looking, but the comfort far out weighs the "potato shoe look".

The fit was excellent. I usually wear a size 10/41 and these fit just right allowing me to wear with a heavier sock. The shoe has excellent arch support. They arrived in excellent condition. Having said all the pros the con is that the leather is very stiff. It’s slow break in for me as I got a blister on my right little toe already . The left foot no problem. I have corns on both little toes, right worse than left. I am hoping that with time this problem will lessen. The arch support of the shoe is excellent, allowing me to walk my dog as needed without knee and hip pain. They do look awesome with my Birk stub socks. I love the oiled leather look. I do wish that Birkenstock would bring back their pebbled leather.

I have a pair of older Birks Boston that I wanted to duplicate but you no longer make it (or carry it) in the crinkle leather. These are VERY stiff and hurt my feet despite several treatment of leather conditioning. I will keep wearing them and hope the stiffness goes away with each time I wear. Pretty uncomfortable!

I’m used to the sandal style, where my toes aren’t crammed. My normal size felt a little too short for me. Arch support was nice, but ultimately were not a win for me.

I did not expect these to be like Birkenstock sandals, which I love, but I really do need the narrow width, which seems impossible to get in any Birkenstock shoe these days. I normally wear a 40 with the original footbed, but in this shoe, I had to order a 41 because the 40 wasn't long enough. But now the toe box is bigger than is preferable, and it's loose. I'm thinking socks might help. I was able to keep a size 40 with the full shoe version of this item, but it has a heel to keep things in place, and the foot bed was the right size. Go figure...

Arrived promptly. Fit as expected. Width a little on the tight side, but may be ok after breaking them in. They are stiff, and I highly suggest repeated treatment of Sno Seal or leather softener while breaking them in. Time will tell.

The fit is fine. Takes a bit of getting used to. I kept slipping out of them! (I have neuropathy and and so my feet are insensitive to feel.) I'm used to Birkenstock Arizona sandals which allow for better toe grip. These mules don't grip as well. I tightened them and wore with heavy socks and then they were extremely comfortable! Fine since I wanted them as a winter option to my Birkenstock open sandals.

Birkenstocks have the widest toe box I have ever experienced, which I like. I bought a size 40 which is my usual size, and the length is just right except that I have a long second toe. Because the front of the shoe has such an angle, my second toes hit the front of the shoe if my foot slips forward. I was able to tighten the buckle so my foot does not slip forward often. The leather will probably stretch over time, I am hoping by that time my feet have molded the bottom enough my foot will not slip forward in the shoe. Birkenstocks also have incredibly high arch support so it feels like I am walking on a bar. I probably have low arches. I bought these for comfort on my concrete floors and they are great for that. The quality of materials in the shoe are excellent.

I have wide feet and these shoes gave me lots of room. The leather is a little stiff at first, but becomes softer with time. After the initial break in period, they feel so comfortable and my heel no longer hurts! They are funky , but I like that. I will definitely buy Birkenstocks again.

These shoes are super comfortable like all Birkenstocks are. I returned them because the narrow width was still too wide for my average width female foot.

This shoe had the super comfortable arch support I am used to with Birkenstocks however the toe box felt way to wide for my foot. I am sure it would be great for a mans foot, but it looked silly on mine. I almost kept it for the comfort, but I ended up returning because it looked a little to klunky, even for a Birkenstock.

Many years ago I had a pair of Boston Suede shoes that I think I liked much better than this oiled leather pair. I've not been pleased with the appearance of the leather for some time now, mostly because they're so much darker than pictured. The brown is often mistaken for black and was not what I had expected. It's also been difficult for me to keep the leather in good shape despite following the recommendations and not wearing them as often as I had planned. Wishing for more arch support/stability.

I've been a Birkenstock fan for years. This latest pair didn't disappoint me -- completely. Fit and quality of materials lived up to the Birkenstock reputation. The finished product was a bit sloppy -- excess glue was apparent on the leather on the front of the shoe between the soul & the leather. Maybe the shoemaker got a bit over hopped the night before. Also, the "oiled" leather was dry as a cow chip -- had to apply leather conditioner out of the box. But, if I'm still around in 10 years, I'll buy another pair!

I like this shoe for support around the house. I wish I'd gotten a narrow, though I've never worn a narrow. They don't stay on as well as I wish when moving around. I'm thinking of taking them somewhere & getting another hole punched in the strap to tighten them more.

I really wanted to like this style of Birkenstock but the "Regular" width is just too wide for my feet. My feet ended up moving and slipping out of the slipper when I would walk around. The leather also dug into the top of my foot which made it a little uncomfortable. I'm sure if the shoes did fit correctly, the leather issue would lessen over time due to breaking in. The color, however, is very beautiful and I like the brown buttery look of it. It's too bad I will have to return these.

I really like these shoes. They do have a significant break-in period, but it is worth it. They feel wide, but that is part of the comfort, for me. I wear US 8.5, and a 39 in this shoe.

Even with heavy socks on, the shoe was really wide. I tried tightening the buckle but it only tightened that one spot. The toe box was still really wide. Another issue was the hard rim inside the toe box. My longer foot was hitting that rim on the outer edge. The shoes are much lighter than I expected which was a nice surprise but I just didn't feel that I would be able to keep the shoes on when walking so I returned them.

Had to return them… too small and too narrow. Wanted to exchange them, but the color and size I wanted was not available.
