I’m usually a US 6/6.5. Some of the reviews suggested sizing up, but I was worried the 7 would have been way to big. The 6 JUST fits. I can wear regular socks but not thick socks. I think if I had gotten the 7, I would have needed insoles and super thick socks. It’s just unfortunate they don’t have half sizes. I’m keeping the 6 and they are otherwise comfortable. I’m hoping the leather will stretch a little as I wear them.

I am a US women's size 7.5. I have several pairs of Doc Martens and consistently wear a UK 5 (US 7 women's) across styles (women's specific, vegan, and unisex). I had to return the UK 5 in this style because my toes touched the front of the shoe. Although the shoes would stretch somewhat with wear, the lengthwise give when breaking in shoes is not enough to get the shoe to fit comfortably. The insole is not removable to make more space.
Upon further research, I learned that the Made in England line uses a last that is significantly different from the styles made in Asia. On the Doc Martens Australia site there is a chart that lists the internal measurements of the Made in England line, along with charts with measurements for their other styles to help with sizing/fitting. I now have the UK6, which is a bit more room than I need, but is easily corrected by adding a pair of insoles.

Love the look of these so I had to order them. They are very comfortable when worn with hiking socks - a little stiff at first but I can see myself wearing and loving these for a very long time. I hate that they don't come in half sizes and I had to return the first pair because they were huge! I typically wear a 9.5 in a boot - I ordered a 10 based on other reviews I read - ended up sticking with a 9 (think the 8 would have been too short).

My Docs arrived in a very timely manner (Zappos is really good about that) and looked just fine, free of defects. The fit was pretty accurate so now it was time time for the tortuous break in period. I’ve had them for about a month and they’re still a wee bit stiff, but coming along just fine. I’m very happy with my purchase, no buyers remorse here.

The vamp is so low I can't actually get my foot all the way into the shoe, and walking across my living room left a mark in my foot even through a pair of socks, so it's not the sort of thing I could "break in." I've worn a lot of Docs in my life and was excited to get a Made In England pair, since I stopped buying them when production moved to China and the shoes started falling apart faster than I liked. But it looks like even the Made In England ones have serious problems with fit. What a heartbreak.

I have always liked Doc Martens and decided to get another pair. They have already dropped the quality of the leather, which in the classic looks more like plastic, and in the vintage feels more like cardboard. This is disappointing for the price.

Vintage Reissue 1460 Letdown -
They are still lacking the quality from the shoes of the 80's. Some disappointments include: cockeyed stitching, sharp eyelets that gouge and tear the tongue on the first wear, different thicknesses of leather, misaligned tongues, black dye that is not "dyed" to the leather but rather "painted on." From looking at them, I even have to wonder if my two shoes were from two different manufacturing plants and leather sources. They don't seem to marry.

Extremely Disappointed - I was extremely disappointed with these boots. I've owned several pairs of Doc's over the past couple years and have been trying to find the proclaimed unbeatable quality they've become so well-known for. I figured that since these boots are being made in England again that I had the chance to buy a pair of brand new boots that would last me for ever. This was not to be. The insoles are flat and offer no support; I've had to use Dr. Scholl's insoles to make these boots wearable. This coupled with the fact that they do not offer half sizes make it difficult to have them fit "just right." The leather is just brown leather painted black, so any scuffs will turn up brown until you polish them, the rough eyelets tear up the laces, and the plastic ankle shape has been ripping from the stitching which is very annoying. I suppose if you are planning to do nothing more than to walk around the mall, then these are the boots for you. But if you want a pair of boots that you can actually work in and be comfortable while doing it, look into investing in a pair of Red Wing Boots.
