I LOVE the look of these shoes--they look great with slacks, and have just the right size heel. But I hate the sole- whatever material was used allows you to feel everything underfoot - very uncomfortable. Too bad too, because I would wear them much more often if it weren't for the thin sole. Honestly, women's shoes should be the same quality as men's, don't you think?

Narrow! They're comfortable, alright, if you have very narrow feet. The shoe looks great, it is very light, but it's very narrow. I ordered some softspots shoes in narrow size, so I assumed I'd be fine with these in regular, but I'm afraid I am returning them. There's no arch support also.

I initially loved this shoe, but wished there was more arch support. Unfortunately, they didn't last long. The rubber sole split in the ball of the foot! For this much money, I expected it to last longer than about 9 months. I tried shoe glue from the cobbler, but it didn't work. Because these soles are rubber molded, they can't be re-soled. Most shoes this expensive should have replaceable heels and soles. I suspect these have been sourced to sweatshops in Asia, like Danskos and other formerly high end shoes.

I have to agree with the previous few reviews. Heels squeak and there is little padding for the ball of the foot. Arch support is much less than desired. I am especially disappointed because I have loved Seibels in the past owning probably 10 pairs. These look great, but will be worn only to meeting where I am not on my feet all day.

This is a very comfortable shoe. However, the sole split across the ball of the foot. I sent them back to the Seibel manufacturer and they replaced them. It appears this is a major flaw for the Braelyn and Biscay shoe. I would also agree with an earlier reviewer that the sole is very thin and not suitable for anything other than indoor and softer pavement use.

I sure wish this style were of better quality, because it sure is comfortable! I ordered a pair and exchanged them because they squeaked (loud like a dog toy) and after the 2nd wearing there was metal showing through the sole. The pair I received in exchange had the exact same problem.

Very comfortable shoes! I knew I would love these shoes because they are Josef Seibel. The day these shoes arrive you can wear for eight hours with no blisters. I wear with jeans and regular work pants. They tend to slightly feel larger than size because they are European sized. Still I wear with socks so they are perfect. If you put a foot pad in the bottom if they’re too big, you feel you are walking in heaven. As always Zappos service is top notch!!! I got the shoes the very next day!!!

As always, a great fit from day one! Comfortable, stylish and simple. I really like this shoe. The only modification I had to make was to buy a pad for the ball of my foot because that part of the shoe felt much thinner than the other pairs of Josefs I've owned. Since moving to NY almost 5 years ago, I've learned you can't wear shoes that sort of fit - instant comfort is important because you're walking everywhere. It's worth the extra bucks for Josefs!

Classic shoe - Great shoes for work: look great with nice pants. Sort of a sexy librarian shoe. The stacked heel is very comfortable and gives a lift. I added a gel arch support which helped there.

Too difficult to insert foot into shoe. Too narrow at base of the tongue. 5th pair of Josef Seibel, but this design does not fit well.

I really miss my old Josef Seibels! This is a very good looking shoe, but I couldn't believe how narrow it was - my old Seibels were always perfect for my medium width foot, but this is really narrow. Also, once I got it on, the arch support the shoes used to be known for was unfortunately lacking. The color caught me by surprise, too. I didn't know Moro was brown - and the shoe looked black in the picture. It is in fact a very dark brown - still pretty, just not expected. These are being returned because of fit, not looks.

I love the appearance, but there's a severe quality problem. Quickly developed both a squeak and a deep split across the ball of the foot. To elaborate: looking at the sole with the toe up, there's a horizontal split from end to end on both shoes in the exact same location. That's with walking in an office environment, no other activity. Obviously this makes the shoe useless, as it no longer protects your foot from any moisture you might encounter.
