Nice looking - Nice looking shoe. Reasonably comfortable but not as comfortable as Josef Seibel's Taylor style which, alas, is no longer available.

Nice, dressier comfort shoe - When I first received this shoe, I was concerned that it would be too narrow in the toe box, but that did not turn out to be the case. The shoe has been very comfortable. I like the narrower look, a bit dressier than my other Josef Seibel shoes. I would prefer a toggle closure to the laces (the laces have become undone a couple of times). The toggle closure is the best, but no Josef Seibels have any that I can find right now. Overall, I am very satisified with the shoes. I can wear these for about 8 hours walking, whereas I have been able to wear my other Josef Seibels about 12 hours.

I had a hip replacement and my leg is now 1 1/2 in. shorter then the other leg. I cannot wear leather shoes so I chose Keds and took them to a shoe repair shop to see if he could build up the sole. He said yes and he did such a good job and I now have a pair in most colors to go with all things. They are so comfortable on my feet and I have really bad feet. I highly recommend them.

Good looking and uncomfortable - I love the shoe looks, but it lacks arch support.

The sole is way too thin. I can feel everything when walking. It’s only comfortable when on padded carpet. I was very disappointed in this shoe. I loved the Taylor and they stopped making it.

This used to be a fantastic shoe. I have had three pairs in the last four years and loved to wear them for work. The first pair lasted nearly two years with weekly wear. However the last two pair have had some major quality shortcomings. Specifically that the shoes squeak when you walk in them on the down step and up step. This isn't a nuisance squeak that can only be heard by dogs and small children, but a no kidding people look up to watch you squeak down the hallway. Second there is a metal support rod that comes down the face of the heel from the shank to the bottom of the shoe and in both pairs of shoes this metal rod has protruded out of the bottom of the shoe in less than three days of wear. I took the shoes to a cobbler shop to see if anything can be done as I really like the shoe, but he said with the single mold plastic/rubber type sole and heal combination there are no old school methods to fix the shoe. I returned both pairs.

I have to give this one a low overall rating because I honestly think this Seibel has a manufacturing problem. This is he second pair of Seibels I have purchased, both similar models (same heel type). The issue is the heel - it is very squeaky with each step and not a shoe you can wear to a quiet place (like an office). It's a shame because the shoes are awesome in appearance and comfort. I am really disappointed in Seibel and I plan to call them about this. I love their shoes for comfort and looks but not when the heels squeak! Zappos, however, gets 5 stars for customer service - they happily took the shoes back, plan to contact Seibel about the problem, and gave me a full refund. Thanks, Zappos!

I've worn Josef Seibel shoes for years and always found them to be very comfortable (I'm on my feet all day). I worn these shoes twice and I'm very disappointed - there's no cushioning in the sole of the shoe.

Love these! I wear them for work and they are very comfortable but very stylish and professional.

Great shoe, I also have it in black. Many compliments on the shoe, very cute. Looks great with jeans. I felt the shoe was very comfortable.

Classy comfort for work - I really like this shoe for a semi-casual work environment. It looks professional and is comfortable without being frumpy - nice little heel for slacks.

Classy - I have worn nothing but Birkenstocks for over 15 years, and I am learning to wear real shoes again! These look great with slacks. I can wear them for about 5-6 hours before I have to take them off, but remember, I have not worn a close toed shoe for years!

My new favorite shoes!! These are excellent shoes. They are so comfortable for walking long distances or for standing long periods of time. They have a beautiful sleek look which is very slimming to the foot. The heel is the perfect height for me. This shoe is a total home run.

Butter soft leather make this shoe really comfy. This European style looks good with dressy slacks or jeans. The only issue I have with it is that the shoes squeak when I walk.

It looks great, but... This is a really good-looking shoe. Its narrow-looking front and hidden laces give it a classy touch. The toe area is roomy and there is no stiffness in the back of the heel to cause irritation. Unfortunately, there is zero arch support and a disappointing lack of padding under the ball of the foot. I finally resorted to tearing out the foot beds and putting in some from other shoes (into which I put orthotics). They could have earned 5 stars for comfort if the designer had first tested it out on human feet.

Oxford - Cute casual shoe. I find I'm usually wearing them on casual Friday's. Overall the shoe is comfortable with the exception of the top area near the tie. This area cuts into my foot and becomes uncomfortable after about 5 hours. But, the shoe is cute!

I LOVE the look of these shoes--they look great with slacks, and have just the right size heel. But I hate the sole- whatever material was used allows you to feel everything underfoot - very uncomfortable. Too bad too, because I would wear them much more often if it weren't for the thin sole. Honestly, women's shoes should be the same quality as men's, don't you think?

Narrow! They're comfortable, alright, if you have very narrow feet. The shoe looks great, it is very light, but it's very narrow. I ordered some softspots shoes in narrow size, so I assumed I'd be fine with these in regular, but I'm afraid I am returning them. There's no arch support also.

I initially loved this shoe, but wished there was more arch support. Unfortunately, they didn't last long. The rubber sole split in the ball of the foot! For this much money, I expected it to last longer than about 9 months. I tried shoe glue from the cobbler, but it didn't work. Because these soles are rubber molded, they can't be re-soled. Most shoes this expensive should have replaceable heels and soles. I suspect these have been sourced to sweatshops in Asia, like Danskos and other formerly high end shoes.

I have to agree with the previous few reviews. Heels squeak and there is little padding for the ball of the foot. Arch support is much less than desired. I am especially disappointed because I have loved Seibels in the past owning probably 10 pairs. These look great, but will be worn only to meeting where I am not on my feet all day.

This is a very comfortable shoe. However, the sole split across the ball of the foot. I sent them back to the Seibel manufacturer and they replaced them. It appears this is a major flaw for the Braelyn and Biscay shoe. I would also agree with an earlier reviewer that the sole is very thin and not suitable for anything other than indoor and softer pavement use.
