These shoes are really comfortable if you aren’t going to be on your feet non-stop for 8+ hours. I wore them to work after getting used to them and within a couple of hours, my heels were killing me. I did, however, notice more tone in my calves and thighs from wearing the shoe on my days off of work. Just don’t buy these with the intention of it being a work shoe.

A bit more roomy that other 9.5's that I have worn from earth shoes but with tight laces they are super comfy right off the bat. looking forward to wearing these while traveling.

Only if you can cover with long pants - I got a 9.5 (I usually wear a 10 in athletic shoes). The length felt good, but overall the shoe felt big, and I had to tighten up the laces heavily to keep the shoe on and comfortable. In the end, they felt more ugly than sporty, and the cost was higher than I wanted to keep them anyway.

They are very cute but were too flat for me and definitely not enough support. I have plantar fascia with heel and arch pain and I need a higher sole. The Desert Butter color was nice and neutral, not dull. If you don't have support issues, try them out. There is some insole cushioning, but again they are low to the ground. Very nicely packaged, too.

I really do not think I am as crazy about these shoes as the other reviews I had read. The main reason is that when I wear them, I have a tendency to hyper-extend my knees. I do not do this in other shoes, so I assume it is the positioning of the heel lower than the forefoot.

Had to send these puppies back! You lean back way too much on your heals. Put them on and in no time, had charlie horses in all my toes. I can see how they can be comfortable for someone else but did not work for me. Nice looking shoe.

I wish I thought these were as great as everyone else does! I bought these because I spend a lot of time on my feet. I wasn't hoping for magic - just something comfortable. What I got was neither magic or comfortable! There is absolutely no padding in the heel of this shoe at all, so there's nothing to absorb the shock of standing and walking on a hard surface. This has resulted in quite a bit of pain in my heels. I only weigh about 100 pounds, so there's not much weight being put on my heels at all. I can't imagine how painful these would be for someone heavier than I am! It may just be this particular style that's having this problem. Some of their other styles look like they have more cushioning at the heel. I'll never know though because there's no way I'm shelling out more dollars to find out!

Had to return -- just too homely - These were super comfortable, but I wear a size 11, and I think the longer this shoe gets the more homely and unattractive. Probably much cuter in a more "avg" size of 7-9.

I have purchased more than 30 pairs of Earth shoes, including this style. All but this pair have been wonderful. I was disappointed when the suede near the top grommet separated, leaving a gaping hole. I was more disappointed when I wrote the the company and no one had the courtesy to reply. Shame on the Earth Company.

These shoes were not as comfortable as other Earth shoes I have owned (and Earth is all I wear these days). The toe box offers lots of room which is nice, but I found the padding in the footing to be oddly lacking. Walking on them felt like wearing a pair of cheap sneakers - no support on the bottom. I tried using inserts, but that cramped the toe area. Another comment just FYI: The smoky grey are cute, but be aware they have juvenile-looking silvery laces and a silver design on the side. It’s okay if you like that sort of thing, but it doesn’t really show up in the photo.

I bought this shoe to replace my Earth Battu, which was so soft and comfortable and these, however, were not. There is zero arch support, and yet they are kind of stiff and boxy. They look soft and flexible, but no. Back to Zappos they go!

Not for hyper-extended knees! This shoe doesn't deserve the low marks I gave it, but I wanted to post a note about negative heels and bad knees. I had a serious hyper-extension injury in bike accident about 7 years ago and partially tore my PCL. (The ligament behind the knee, NOT the ACL injury which is so much more common.)No idea why I didn't think of this before ordering (probably because I haven't had knee pain in years), but I put on these shoes, walked exactly three steps, and my knee pain was immediate and severe. Too bad, because I have miserable feet and I hoped Earth shoes (which I used wear 30 years ago) (ouch) would be a boon.
