Upgrade from The Clog - Although clog-ish, this shoe is a more streamlined, less 'clunky' than the clog. I might go so far to say the un-clog clog. I've had my pair for a month and have been very happy with them. It is one of the only shoes I have ever had that have the kind of arch support I need (I have a very high instep) and is even better than the Dansko clog (of which I've had 2 pairs). The taller heel is very nice; I can wear the Sienna with business casual with pants I usually wear heels with (I purchased the black ones). The heel still 'slips' like a regular pair of clogs but much less so and the elasticized panels on the side create a much more secure feeling fit. It is a good combination - makes the Sienna more a regular shoe than clog. The Sienna is a great all around shoe. I don't believe in wearing sneakers anywhere but to the gym, but this shoe gives me the guilt pleasure of feeling like I am. Many people must feel the same way because they were hard to in stock once I discovered them in mid-December.

These beauties stretched - It took 3 prs to get the right fit and then they quickly stretched. I could never wear a 36 in the stores, so I opted for the 37. They are too big, but I know the 36 is too small. They are classy, but a little unsteady because of being disappointedly sloppy. I will get some heel grips for them because I love the way they look.

Snugger than other Danskos - Top of foot feels much snugger than usual Danskos in same size. Otherwise, classic Dansko look with slight detailing on side.

My 10th pair of Danskos - I really like my new black siennas. I ordered a size bigger than usual. I can tell the length of the shoe is just a tad too big for me (fine with heavier sox though) but the width would have certainly been too snug with my traditional size 40. I'm glad I got a size bigger like many of the previous reviewers suggested. I like that the shoe is dressier than my other Danskos professionals: nice leather and classy heel.

Better looking than the pro - Looks wise, these are a big improvement over the Dansko Professional. I bought these, the Sally and the Suri so far this season. I'm keeping the Sally and the Suri but I'm sending these back tomorrow...not because I didn't like them but because I foolishly took the advice of other posters below who said they run small and you're better off ordering a size up. Big mistake. The next size up was huge and looked like a boat on my foot. I tried to order my normal size but Zappos is now out of it. So I went to a bricks and mortar store and tried on a pair in my normal size...and they fit perfectly. But a similar pair of Ariat shoes caught my eye and I bought those instead. No, I think these run true to size...but they are very difficult to slip into. Comfy once you get them on but a huge pain trying to get to that point. Almost but no Sienna...

Delighted - I did have to return the original size I ordered for the next size up. I'd say they felt a full size smaller than marked. I couldn't even squeeze my foot into the smaller ones! But Zappos excellent shipping policy saved the day. I ordered the next size up and am Happy Happy Happy. They are a squeeze to get on, but after wearing them for just one day, that is loosening up a little already. Once my feet are in them, they are not tight at all - fitting the way I would hope they would. The shoe was noticed by several people yesterday - it looks wonderful. Though of course it's a Fall shoe and it's the middle of summer here in New England - so I'm not going to be wearing them a whole lot for the next two months or so - but I really do love them.

This shoe looks much better than it feels. I bought them for work, but they look really cute with jeans. After walking in them for a while, I feel extreme pain on the large bone on the outside ball of my foot about where my arch begins. To be fair though, all shoes hurt my feet in that area.

I am disappointed. So many people rave about these shoes, but I can't get behind them. My foot is medium to wide depending on the brand. Dansko seems medium to narrow to me. Even if my foot didn't feel smashed, they arch support and heel still felt uncomfortable.

This is my second pair of Danskos. I originally loved them, cute and comfy. They had the comfort of the original Danskos, but were a little more stylish. However, take note I had read this in another review but didn't believe it, for whatever reason these shoes are not stable. I repeat, not stable. If you are a klutz like me, be extra wary of buying these shoes. The way the heel is constructed, one little crack in the sidewalk, pebble, etc., and you are headed for a twisted ankle or tumble. Also, the Chestnut color I bought scuffs really easily. They will look good with jeans and casual khakis but that is it! Overall, really a cute shoe and I will continue to wear. But I have already promised my husband, one more twist and I won't wear them any more!

Too Tight for a Dansko - The shoe is lovely but the toe box is tight, even more so if you have a high instep. Sadly, you cannot remove the insoles. I am a Dansko clog traditionalist: The clog is suppose to feel a bit loose all over when you walk, your foot is suppose to slide around inside your clog though your heel should not entirely come out. In the past few years Dansko shoes, even their clogs, have moved toward fitting like a traditional shoe. This doesn't work for me because I have a high instep and wide feet. So, I would not recommend this style if you are looking for a "traditional" more loose clog fit.

Too tight! I've read that Dansko's have slipped in quality since they're now manufactured in China, and I guess it's true. Every pair of Dansko's I've tried on recently all fit differently, and some of them have been the same style and size. I tried on a pair of Siennas in a local store, and size 40 fit perfectly. But they didn't have the color I wanted (Cordovan), so I ordered them from Zappos. I received them last night (super fast shipping) and was so disappointed when I put them on and they were too tight. The top killed my foot, and even the arch support was too much. I felt like I was walking on a big rock. Maybe I have flat feet, but the Siennas I tried on in the store fit me perfectly. I've also tried on several pairs of Professionals, and they've all fit me differently, even though they all were a size 40. I've never owned Dansko's, but a friend swears by them. Maybe they're just not the shoe for me!

I really wanted to love this shoe! First off, Zappos is amazing!! Shipped right away and I had them within 2 days (going thru the mail, even!). Will definitely recommend Zappos to friends. Now for the shoe...I was hoping this particular shoe would become my new favorite pair of Danskos (already own a pair of prof clogs,) but it's just not happening. The first problem is that this style runs a bit small. I was in between sizes, so I kept the smaller and had them stretched at a local shoe repair place. It helped, but the other problem is that the height of the heel forces my toes to hit the toe box, regardless of how much the shoe has been stretched. My biggest complaint though, is the shape of the heel. I constantly turn my ankle outwards while walking in these shoes. I guess these just aren't meant for me due to the way my foot hits the ground when I walk. I still wear these shoes once or twice a week, but they are not comfortable enough for everyday wear as I had hoped. That being said, the pros of this shoe include the cushiony sole, lightweight feel overall, softer leather (when compared to Dansko Professional,) and a stylish look. Overall, I love Danskos in general, but will avoid the whole Sausalito line in the future due to the heel!

A little disappointed - This is my first pair of Danskos and I think I'm going to return them. I was practically limping by the end of the day because the top edge of the shoe presses so hard against the top of my right foot when I walk. Maybe if I had a smaller size it would be better. I usually wear 5 or 5 1/2 and got the 36 because it was the smallest. They feel a little big.

Not as comfortable as I hoped - The shoes are absolutely beautiful, and the comfort of Danskos is wonderful in general, and this was no exception once my foot was in the shoe. There is some elastic hidden by the stitching to allow your foot to get into the shoe, but I have to say it was very little help. I lost some skin trying to get my foot into the shoe, and the leather wanted to rub a blister against my heel and the top of my foot once it was inside. Other than that it was a very nice shoe, maybe if you get a size bigger than necessary it won't do that.

Sad to report - Let me start by saying, I'm a Dansko girl. But...something is just not right with the design of the Dansko Sienna. They're fine if all you plan to do is walk slowly on a perfectly flat surface, but that's not too useful. Basically, I'm sure I will twist my ankle in the near future in these shoes; already several times my foot has landed so that the heel slips out and I end up landing on the outside of my ankle and luckily people have been around to grab my arm and keep me from toppling over. I am a grad student (read, limited funds), and wanted to get one pair of shoes to wear all the time so I splurged on the Sienna, thinking it would work for me like some previous clog styles, but I think I'm going to have to give up on these after having them for only a couple months. Despite this, I am still a Dansko girl, just slightly less so.
