I first got the brown Sally in 35 several months ago (for dress shoes, I wear 5.5, tennis shoes in 6). Initially, I was really worried about the fit because while I love the maryjane look, for some reason my toes were hitting the front of the shoes when I walked. I decided to keep them and haven’t regretted it - now that they are broken in, they are pretty comfortable and I wear them with dress pants, skirts, jeans, even capris (though I might be laughed at for that ). Last week I bought the black Sally in 35, and cordovan Sally in 36, just to compare which would fit better. The 35 felt so snug right away, and the 36 felt good and I was so close to returning the 35. However, I kept them and tried both pairs around the house at various times during the day. I felt that the 36 became too roomy in the toe box, and I didn’t like to have so much toe movement, even though the strap anchored my foot. So if they started feeling loose after 1 week, they would probably feel like flip flops when they break in later. So after much self debate, I decided to keep the black 35. I’m confident it will stretch slightly like my brown 35. Even though Dansko starts out stiff, they do break in later as they mold to your feet. This is probably my favorite Dansko style - it is ALMOST as comfortable as the Professional style, but I love it that it’s dressier. I also own the Sonja, and Mia (discontinued) and am convinced that I must wear Dansko to preserve my feet since my job requires a lot of walking/standing. I’ve tried Naturalizer, Sofft, even Clarks, but they are nowhere as comfortable as Danskos. Pretty soon all I will have in my closet are Danskos. By the way, I like this style so much I just ordered it in Cordovan and Suede Red (size 35 of course).

I love Dansko's they are usually very comfy. These however look great but run very small. After putting them in my shoe stretcher for several days, one stretched and the other did not.

This was my first venture into "comfort shoes," and truly they are very comfortable. As a teacher, I am on my feet all day long every day, and during the first week of school I had a really (painfully) difficult time adjusting. Though these shoes are certainly clunkier than what I'm used to (and what is more my style), they're pretty cute for comfort shoes. Worth the money and worth the slight sacrifice in style. If you're new to Dansko, you need to: 1) Get properly sized at a local comfort shoe store, if possible, or 2) Order a size up. I consistently wear 8 1/2 with every brand, but I needed a 40 for Dansko. The fit is supposed to be big - your heel is supposed to slip in the back (not all the way out, but about an inch).

Love these shoes. They have been rubbing a bit on the inside of my toe bed, so I can't wear them everyday. I walk quite a bit, and am hoping that as I break them in this won't happen anymore. I usually wear size 8 in this type of shoe (9 in tennis shoes) and 39 fits well.

Cute shoe, but a bit clunky. Strap did not sit comfortably, so returned. Thanks Zappos for great service!

Super comfy, and cute to boot - they're the Mary Janes of the clog world. They do pinch a little bit along the top inside edge, but I figure they'll stretch a bit over time.

Very comfortable toebox and great support in arch. Unfortunately size 39 too small and 40 too big so am returning.

These were adorable shoes that didn't fit me! I have other Dansko Maryjane style shoes in this size that are just fine, but for some reason the top of the toe area cut the top of my foot and not sure if it was an instep issue or if these were just a bit snugger than my other Danskos! Unfortunately I had to return them. Not sure if getting a larger size would necessarily solve the issue, because they were long enough, just not enough height in the toe area.

These are most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had on my feet!

I needed a larger size and this fits perfect. Returning shoes is a breeze with Zappos! Love Dansko shoes for arch support!

Needed a bigger size.

I love these shoes!! I can wear them with tights, socks or barefoot! The leather across the top of the foot takes a little while to break in -- it\'s pretty stiff. But with gradual breaking in the shoes are very comfortable now. The buckle is secure. I ordered brown and they go with everything. Because the shoes are closed toe I can wear them most of the year even in rainy Seattle. They are not as supportive as Dansko Professional, but are still way more supportive than many shoes like it.

This is my first pair of Dansko’s. I usually wear supportive tennis shoes as I have suffered from plantar fasciitis and other foot problems. Usually dress shoes are a nightmare for me and uncomfortable. These are very comfortable and look nice too. I highly recommend.

This shoe is so cute, I am size 5 and ordered the size 5 which was too small, my toes were at the very end of them, and the size 6 was way too big. I am sad that both had to be returned, but I did order the size 5 in the Sunny sandal and it is great! I highly recommend those if you are in between sizes. I find I am in between sizes of the Sausalito style of Dansko which is why I chose the Sunny sandal.

Love these shoes. I walk just over 2 miles to and from work everyday and these shoes make the walk comfortable and fashionable. They look great with skirts and pants and give me a little extra height, too. I'm usually a 6.5, but ordered the 37 and it fits my arch well although there's a little extra space around the toes.

I LOVE theses shoes. I work in the medical profession and am on my feet a lot. When I am wearing these, I feel like I am walking on a cloud.

First of all Zappos shipping is awesome! You couldn't ask for better service. I always look to Zappos first when buying my shoes, especially Danskos. They have a great selection. Now the shoes, Dansko's are my all time favorites! I'm a clog fiend. I thought the straps might be too tight but they are not. They are totally comfortable and look fairly professional. I can walk and stand all day and never have any discomfort. Love these!!!

I love the Sally Danskos because they are a bit narrower than some of the other styles (e.g., the Professional clogs). They\'re not necessarily narrow, just narrow-ER, and the strap helps keep them on my feet as well. Great style -- wasn\'t sure I\'d like the Mary Jane look, but these are fairly sophisticated looking. I bought them in black suede\/croc leather, too!

These shoes rock! Besides being absolutely comfortable, a bit more than boots even they just look good. Your feet will be happy wearing them!

I can not say enough wonderful things about this shoe! I did not have a break in period as others have mentioned. I have only worn mine with socks so far, but am looking forward to the spring. :) I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9 size shoe…for me the 40 worked best as the 39 was too small...my toes rubbed up against the shoe. The toe box is large enough for wiggle room. I love this color as it's a fun neutral that goes with both black and brown...and they look great with jeans! I recommend this shoe to ANYONE who wants to walk around and feel comfortable but still in style.

These shoes are adorable. My husband calls them my milkmaid shoes and they are a bit funky clunky but super cute. I did have to stretch them out in front in order to make them comfortable enough to wear all day but otherwise they fit great and are extremely comfortable for all day wear. And a plus is that they're also very quiet!

The Sally is a good shoe if you want something cute and comfortable that goes with pants or skirts. I have wide feet with narrow-medium heels The strap holds it on fine, but I have to make sure not to make the strap too tight, just enough to keep it on. I like the extra height of the slight platform but you cannot run down a brick road or uneven surface in these shoes or you will ricochet sideways. It is fine for walking fast though. My favorite feature is that it does not press on the tops of your toes and toenails--something most women's closed shoes do. If you normally like sandals you might like this shoe for the winter. I have a black and a chestnut pair. I did have to order a different pair of the chestnut size 37 because the right shoe was for some reason made too tight.

I really like these shoes. I’d previously tried on the clog type of Danskos and felt my feet were sliding into the toes, but I don’t get that feeling with these. These shoes have plenty of toe room (I’m a 9, but bought a 9.5), and won’t mess up a pedicure. I’ve been able to break them in with a minimal amount of blistering. They are great for both walking and standing. I can wear these shoes with or without socks. They seem very well made. These shoes are definitely worth the money if you have a job that requires you to be on your feet.

Love, love, love these shoes! Like the other reviewers said, this is a much more fitted shoe than other Dansko clogs. It won't work for you if you have wide feet. But if you're average, you'll be able to appreciate how this shoe is a bit more dressy and streamlined than Dansko's other styles. Still funky clunky, they're darling with dresses and cropped pants. Super comfortable right out of the box, no blisters, or rubbing. Leather is beautiful and the sole is a bit bouncier and quieter than my regular clogs. I'll buy more colors for sure.

The shoes are very comfortable except for the front area where the leather ends and your foot is exposed. This area is a little tight, and causes some irritation after wearing them all day. I believe they will loosen up, or as some other buyers mentioned, I might take them to a shoe place to have them stretch it out a little. Otherwise, I love these shoes. I purchased my size range, and they fit perfectly, w/ just a bit of room so my toes don’t hit the front. I love the look of them, they are cute w/ dresses or jeans. And as always, Zappos is the best!
