I purchased these slippers a year ago to replace some "Old Friend" slippers of a similar style that are no longer being made. My "Old Friend" slippers lasted for 3 years and I hoped these would also last for at least a couple of years. I was quite happy with these new slippers for the first seven months or so, even though the mixed wool/acrylic liners didn't keep my feet as warm as I'd hoped. What has disappointed me in recent months is how the fake sheepskin has worn off all around the ankle edges of the slippers and how the inside is also worn down and off making my feet even less warm and looking very ratty. I had hoped for better value for the price. I will be buying new slippers soon and they will not be Sorel's or anything with fake sheepskin.

I really like the looks of these, but I wear an 8.5 shoe and the 9 was just too large. Also, the "Sorel" tag is stitched into the lining right under the heel and can be felt as one walks. It might not bother most people, but I can feel it and it bothers me.

I just received these today, so I can't speak to their durability or long lasting comfort. They certainly are attractive and comfortable, but I may need to return them or exchange them. The heels of the slippers are too low and don't stay on when you walk. Although the slippers don't feel like they are going to come off, it is still noticeable and annoying. I bought the Acorn: Faux Chinchilla Collar in grey too and they seem to offer the same amount of comfort and a better fit for less. They offer better arch support too. Those may be too snug for anyone with a high instep (the top of your foot between the toes and the ankle), but they feel secure. The Sorel Nakiska may be more attractive, but I won't be wearing it out and about. The suede upper is nice, but I'm wary of it getting stained. So if I decide to keep them, I'm going to spray them with water/stain repellant. I may exchange them for the Tempur-pedic Conduction since they are same price. I'm new to all these brands.

The exterior of this slipper is excellent. Sturdy sole will endure wet conditions. Suede top is rich looking. The interior is disappointing.
The removable insole has minimal arch support. The pile lining was matted down and clumpy within 2 weeks. Usually wear a 9 1/2. The 9 fit perfectly.

I've had mine for a year and, sadly, the wool/acrylic lining has shed and come off in spots. They are warm without being sweaty, but I wouldn't recommend them seeing as they didn't hold up on the lining...it started happening a few months in. The arch is comfy but not out of this world. I'm on the hunt for a new pair just in time for Christmas!

These slippers are very cozy, but the short back of the heel constantly went up and down, ripping my sock off within the first few steps. I always wear my slippers with socks. Also the short back of the heel was not comfortable against my foot. So, these slippers went back.

I love this slipper except for the phony fleece, which after three months is already disintegrating. The heel is too short and the slippers won't stay on. Other than that. I would have loved them.

Loved the look of the Sorel Nakiska. I usually wear size 7 (which is the size I bought) and with my thick wool socks they were definitely snug. It was mostly a "cozy snug," but it did make it harder to get the slippers on. Without thick socks (to no one's surprise) they were a little roomier. I thought the heel height was too low. On me, the slippers came up on an uncomfortable spot on my heel. More so on one than the other, which means it's possible it's a problem unique to me. I tried and tried to make them both feel comfortable, but unfortunately only one slipper felt comfy enough to keep. I wished the top of the slipper's heels were taller.

I really like the style of these and the comfort is great. They fit my foot nicely (1/2 size up) and didn't slip on my narrow heel. But, they are just too toasty warm for me!

Nice slipper very comfortable and nice sole. However, I need to return these because the back of the slipper is short and when I walk it rubs the back of my foot.

I just received my new Sorel slippers. They feel very comfortable but are slipping off my feet. I normally wear a 9 1/2 and ordered a 10, however, it is too big.

I initially liked these a lot. Though I was disappointed that Sorel had no slipper options that went higher up toward the ankle for women (I loved my husband's: Sorel Manawan, http://vip.zappos.com/sorel-manawan-bark), I found these warm, comfortable, and not too heavy. However, the faux shearling has worn really badly. I had a pair of suede slippers with faux shearling that I got for $15 from target and wore for about 7 years before I felt that they were truly worn out. With these, after a year there were bare patches in the shearling and as time has gone on they have just gotten worse. I still wear them and will probably get replacement insoles if I can as those have also worn down. For the cost I expected something that would wear longer and better. I guess that is the difference between real and faux shearling.

These are very comfortable but I've had these 6 months and the gummy soles pick up every piece of lint, hair, and whatnot from my carpet...yuck! Also, the top-layer of lining at the heel started to roll up and out of the top so I had to trim it off. These aren't cheap so that's disappointing. When I got these I wondered if the acrylic would make my feet sweatier. The answer is: a little bit. If I were to purchase them again, I would get a darker color (I have the lighter blue), get the 100% wool lining, and wait till they changed out the sole material.

I was very excited to try these slippers and as soon as I pulled them out of the box, I knew these were going back. The soles of the slippers are very sticky. So sticky that the packaging fused to the soles and I had to pry it off. Having pets, the sticky sole is not for me. I love my cats, but I don't want to look like one. Alas, my search for slippers continues.

I originally ordered these in a size 11, and they were much too tight. The 12 still feels tight but since I can't return either pair after wearing them, I'm stuck with them. Also, why in the world would you sew labels inside on the sole, as well as the tag in the instep? They are very warm, however.

Great Slippers but after an hour or less my feet got too hot. Maybe I'm not in a cold enough environment. Otherwise slippers are comfortable and great fit.

Almost no cushion or arch support. Very thin sole. I have an old pair of Sorrel slippers that I love for their excellent arch support and comfort, but they've worn out so I bought these. The top is beautiful, but the bottom is less than 1/2 inch thick and there isn't any noticeable arch support. My feet ache after walking around for an hour or so with them on and I've gone back to my ancient ones, despite the fact that they are starting to fall apart. Also, the fleece is fake. I will continue my search, but it's an expensive mistake.

I wasn't happy with the quality of these slippers. The lining was similar to fabric on my pet's bed! I sent them back...Initially there was an order entry glitch and the shoes arrived over 2 weeks late. I returned them and just realized (a year later!) I've never received credit for the return. Lack of follow up on my part! Zappos is usually A+ all the time.

I had to return the shoes because there is a seam that rubbed the back of my heal. It wasn't just uncomfortable, they actually hurt my feet. They need to be redesigned.

I ordered these for my mother in-law who wears a size 9, I tried them on and they fit me and I'm a size 7. I would definitely say these run very small.

No support. Inner fabric is pilling and coming off. I have only worn these a week. Only good thing is that the slippers are warm. Too bad. I have 2 prs. of Sorel boots and they were qood quality. Very disappointed with my purchase.

The fleece is falling out in tufts and leaving bald spots along the 'collar.' This after 2 weeks of wear. Item is defective. Surprised, given Sorel's history of quality.

This slipper looks like it has arch support, but really doesn't. It's completely collapsible. Interior is nice, otherwise. I returned it due to lack of arch. You can remove their insert and put your orthotic underneath, but for me it made the slipper uncomfortable. People have arches!

In purchasing the Sorel slippers I thought they might provide the comfort that I was looking for. While they did provide the warmth, they lack true support. After wearing them they no longer conformed to my feet - they actually seemed to stretch they are no hanging off of my feet, they are wider, and I feels like a real whole size bigger. I wear an 8, customer service suggested a 9 (wrong answer). Buying shoes online can be difficult but I called the company and spoke with them about what size, comfort, etc., and boy were they wrong. These slippers do not work for me!
