I would not recommend this shoe for cross fit. Rope climbs ate up the soft foam rubber. The toe is now tearing off from burpees. I have super glued it once and that lasted about a week. Everyone recommend this brand but I would try another model. I have been very disappointed with this purchase. Just does not hold up to the beating. I wear these shoes twice a week and never have a seen something fall apart.

I bought this shoes because of the sale and the good reviews. It is real light and wide enough for my big feet. The size is half a size bigger. Maybe it is the UK-US size conversion thing. I would like it to have better cushion. After all, I am happy with the shoes. Now I can run longer than before.

Good if you're looking for something with a bit of padding for your crossfit workouts. I typically run off road in vibrams but feel that running on pavement/concrete requires a bit of padding, so these suit that as well. Only four stars as they're just not very durable.

I love the shoe. It's very light weight, almost having a slipper feel on the foot. I've worn it for casual wear, and running. It's a good cross trainer. My only complaint has been lacking enough arch support. I remedied that with an insert. That has worked well.

I own these boots in three colors. I absolutely adore them. They are comfortable right out of the box to wear all day, and the shading makes them look broken in, but not dingy. What I like most about them is that they are lightweight. I have a pair of Frye boots that I adore, but they're very heavy on the foot. These Riekers are as light as slippers. I find the arch support to be moderate and my arch doesn't ache, but it doesn't feel cradled either. All in all, this is a very comfortable boot.

These feel a smidge larger than size, but not enough for me to say that they felt a half-size bigger than normal. I bought these for indoor volleyball; they feel stable, they don't pinch toes which some shoes do when stopping forward motion. The finishing and build quality looks inexpensive to me for some reason. I'm curious to see how they hold up. For the price, and based on other reviews, however, I expect these to perform well and wear well. The overall rating of 4 stars comes primarily from my question over build quality and the slightly large sizing.

The shoe is super light weight very flexible, and has an excellent fit. It conforms to the foot so well all be it snug. It's very stable, I feel completely grounded and in control in these. The only downfall is that it has next to no shock absorption. If you are going to be doing any kind of endurance, plyometric, or long distance running this is not a good candidate.
TLDR;
Great for strength training, Crap for endurance training.

Great shoes. Super comfortable. A little disappointed that they are a dark grey color, not the light grey that the picture shows.

There are enough positive reviews about F-Lite 230. I like them , not love. I only want comment on sizing. I exchanged several different Inov styles because all were too wide. F-lite 230 seems to be the narrowest but still wide for me. Inov shoes are made for man, period. I wear woman size 9 (USA). I initially ordered UK 6.5 (USA 9) according to charts, they were slightly small. Exchanged .5 size up, UK 7 (USA 9.5), they felt more comfortable lengthwise, but still too wide. Order a couple different sizes, plus/minus .5 and see which you feel more comfortable with.

I've been doing HIT/step/weight training style workouts in these for several months now and i like them but I don't love em. I do miss the cushioning when I work out on hard floors and I detest running in these shoes. But they don't break down fast. They are well ventilated, don't bind or rub the foot funny, and my arches don't hurt. Normally my arches hurt in "cross-training" shoes but not these. Seemed just a tad long. Not sure I would buy them again as my shins really prefer a little cushion for jumping.

I've used the shoe in workout classes, on the track and walking around to break them in. They have been great. There is plenty of cushion while being light. I am happy with the purchase.

These are certainly interesting. First, the pros: They are incredibly light. They fit almost like socks rather than shoes. Ventilation is fantastic. Grip is amazing. The cons: For me, they do seem a size larger than they should be. However, the fit at the middle of the foot and heel is so good, it really doesn't matter. I don't slip or slide around in them and I'm wondering if that is all by design? There is very little to no shock absorption with this shoe. The most you'll get is out of the socks you're wearing. I'm pretty low-impact, (stationary bike/elliptical), so no big deal. But if you are a high-impact gym rat, I'd seriously look elsewhere. They are a bit "plastic-y" all around. But I'm sure that's why they're as lightweight as they are. I'll use them until they wear out. But I wouldn't buy them again for my needs. I'd want more shock absorption.

I got these shoes for Crossfit. I like them a lot. Been using them for a few weeks. They only thing I would be conscious of when ordering is they are super narrow and small. I ordered my normal size, and they are snug but ok. I would probably start with your normal size and then go 1/2 a size bigger if they don't fit. This was my first time ordering this brand, so I was unaware of how narrow and small they were.

I use these for circuit-type weight training. I had been wearing running shoes - burpees and jumping are much easier in this shoe and it seems like it will hold up well. I don't use these for walking or running - they don't feel like they provide enough support and I think they would wear out quickly. I consider these a functional rather than fashionable shoe. I'm not tempted to wear them anywhere except the gym!

Shoe looked great and was light and flexible, but much too narrow for my feet. I even got a size larger, and even though the length was a little large, I still felt a lot of pressure on my pinky toe. Think this would be a good show for narrower and flatter feet, but hurt to wear for me.

This was this first running shoe I ever bought so I don't have anything to compare it to. My first impression was wow it's light. It feels like I'm almost barefoot. Very nice shoes.

I love these shoes! I was looking for a more minimalist shoe for Crossfit, but I also needed a bit more structure. These shoes are comfortable and they've even helped improve my plantar fasciitis a bit. Overall, they are not my favorite from an aesthetic perspective, but I would definitely purchase another pair in a heartbeat.

I bought these sneakers because they had been reviewed highly by Crossfitters and others who do some weight lifting and wanted a shoe with a thin, non-compressible sole. This sneaker definitely fits the bill for a super minimalist gym shoe and although I don't run, it feels like a great running shoe for those who are into the minimalist approach. The toe box is somewhat small and that's my biggest complaint. The whole side of my big toe touches the inside of the sneaker at all times, and my pinkie toe makes contact as well. I probably could have tried for a slightly larger size, but they are wearing in nicely and haven't caused any real discomfort, it's just a different feeling than I'm used to. These sneakers are so light and the mesh toe allows so much air flow, it's almost like you're not wearing them. When you go outside and take the first step, you can feel the outside air flow right in onto your foot, it's really nice. The manufacturing quality is very high; the laces are thick and robust and all of the seams are precise and strong. I've only had them for a few weeks but no problems yet.

Very comfortable shoe. Important to know that there's no heel support, so if you're prone to swelling in your Achilles tendon, these shoes will bring it out. I'm hoping that Zappos will begin to run the full line of Reebok Crossfit shoes.

Has a good amount of cushioning for a minimal shoe. The toe box seems to be a little wide for my feet but snug in the arch area. Definitely great all-around CrossFit shoe.

I have the misfortune of having wide and flat feet (quack quack). This shoe surprisingly held my arch orthotics well without having to step up in size. Most shoes that hold my orthotics will force my toes forward so I have to go up a whole shoe size; not with the 230s. Although a tad narrow, it didn't hinder any performance. Definitely gonna try at least another 3-5 different styles. A lot classier looking than my Reebok Realflexes. Now, if only summer will be over with so I can do some trail running.

I purchased these shoes for CrossFit. I really like them and I recommend them for other CrossFitters.
Pros: Small and light, quicker exit/entry from the rower and pullup bands equals faster WOD times.
Cons: A little bit narrow at first, but give them a week or two to mold to your foot.

Moderately impressed. I wanted one shoe to do it all but the Inov-8 F-Lite 230 has its flaws. Good all around shoe, not great. The lack of arch support keeps me from wearing them outside of the gym. Super lite feel is good but sprinting and long distance (~5K+) running takes some time to get used to (like 5 fingers). I expected this. They're good for the majority of Crossfit exercises however they are not good for heavy OHS and rope climb. They do not replace Oly shoes and the insole is to fragile to climb rope. Inov have the Zero model that addresses the fragile insole issue. This tells me Inov is listening to its customers and always a good thing.

I bought these (my 2nd pair of Inov-8 230s) for CrossFit and I love them. Comfortable and supportive and I love all the awesome colors.
