I wear these boots now and have kept a pair handy. As a land surveyor, my shoes get some punishment and this boot is excellent. This pair was a gift for my son....that is my level of confidence.

Bought these for my husband and he has no complaints. They are basis, comfortable, good quality boots.

BY FAR the best boot I have ever owned. I've tried out several other types of Wolverines as well as different brands and I keep putting these on instead. They're not bulky, they're lightweight, and they look fantastic. I would rather wear these than tennis shoes. The only negative about this boot is the quick lace hooks chew up shoe laces, so be sure to order some heavy duty replacements that are made of stiffer material.

I'm on pair #5 or 6. But to counter another reviewer, these are NOT steel toe. I tried the steel toe version & I don't know why but they didn't work for me. I'm an electrician, on my feet all day, & these are the best boots I've ever had & why I keep coming back. I'm about to order another pair but I'm wary because the ones I have now state Width=EW, & here it says EE. Gotta love Zappos return policy

Like many construction workers I wore Red Wing work boots for years. The last two pairs I gave up on. Either they don't make 'em like they used to or my poor old feet just can't handle the break-in period. These new Wolverine Raiders are just what the doctor ordered. It's nice to work without being in agony.

Felt broken in when I tried them on the first time. I wore them around the house for a couple of hours and I was sure that these boots were keepers. I greased them up and I have worn them every work day for the past four months and they still have the same great support that they had out of the box. If they ever wear out, I will definitely buy the same boot again.

This have felt great since the moment I put them on. No break in period. Nice enough to wear casual with jeans but rough enough to work in...

Number one. I LOVE these shoes. These shoes feel great on my feet and I'm on my feet all day on a concrete floor. The inner cushions make all the difference. Number two...Buying from Zappos is simple, direct, fast, and fairly priced. Not the cheapest place around, but the prices are fair and the selection is unparalleled.

At the time of my purchase, I wasn't sure which of two sizes would fit, so I just ordered both because of Zappos' awesome policy of free shipping both ways. I tried on the two when they arrived a few days later, picked the one that fit, and sent the other one back. Everything went smoothly, the money was credited to my account a few days later, and I am loving the shoes I kept. It was a very smooth process, great shoes, and I highly recommend Zappos to anyone.

I went back and tried the redwing heritage series and found them to be super uncomfortable. They also were too thin to accept an insole. I tried about 10 other pairs of boots including Frye, Timberland, Clarks, and RedWing before I finally settled on these boots. I think they look great, they're lightweight, they're reasonably priced, and they're about as close to being a pair of tennis shoes as you can get and still be a boot. I did end up with the wide pair but wouldn't say that I have a wide foot. So, in my opinion, they run a little on the narrow side. It was also really easy dealing with Zappos, they accepted the other pairs of boots that I returned with absolutely no hassle.

Nicely made, comfortable, but seems perhaps half size larger than my usual shoe size.

These boots we nice looking but the insert was cattywampus and did not fit shoe correctly. Ended up keeping the other style that fit perfect.

The size was just right. The one major flaw is the tongue, somehow it chafes my ankle, it is not smooth enough, it sticks out, and not good for walking! I have to put cotton, or interpose a hankie on the inside so it will not rub. Service was great, though.

I've had these boots for about 18 months. The boots are generally very comfortable with a few exceptions. I'm an occasional user...big weekend projects around the home once every other month or so along with typical yard work, etc. I wouldn't consider my use heavy at all for a boot like this. The first time I kneeled down in the boots and flexed the toe fully, the leather above my toes folded downward in a couple of spots. Those spots now always put constant pressure and rubbing on the top of my toes and there seems no way to get it to stop. It's a nuisance and does cause pain if I wear them for a longer job. Just this past weekend, the stitching on the gussets on the tongues of both the left and right boot failed. Again, I am not a heavy user at all and thought I was buying boots that would last me for years given my generally light usage. I was very excited about these boots when I got them, but now after 18 months of light usage my general opinion is that they are lacking and seem to have significant design defects.

Very comfortable soles. I've owned these boots before, I'm a mechanic on my feet all day on concrete floors. They are good for those conditions. Expect the uppers to last about a year. The laces broke in 4 months. But, what can you expect from boots manufactured China.

11.5 felt like 12.5 sorry to say couldn’t keep my heal in them,and compared to my timberland pros felt like bricks on my feet. Was waiting for the shocks to start working never did ???
