I couldn't wear the shoes because they were not wide enough, even though the shoes are listed as having a 4E width. I wear a 4E in Asics running shoes and a 4E in my other shoes, but Clarks are definitely not 4Es.

I researched these shoes quite a bit before buying for my husband. He needs something dressy, but functional for being on his feet for 15-16 hours a day. His usual Ecco shoes were out of stock. These seemed like a great replacement. Initially, he was not happy and wound up with achy feet almost immediately, as can happen with new shoes. He wanted to try them for a few more days. Maybe he has other issues going on with his feet, but these never broke in for him.

Left one showed up with defect on the tongue, overlapped left side. For the price this is not acceptable, returning promptly and hoping 2nd try works.

I'm typically an unapologetic fan of any of Clarks' shoea but these one gave me discomfort that I would never expect from Clarks. Especially not for such expensive shoes.

I am certainly hoping the shoe leather just needs to be broken in or I need to buy arch supports. I've used Clarks before with no issue until now. I purchased the same shoe size per normal but these slightly and uncomfortably squeeze my feet. By the end of the day, it's a relief to take my shoes off.

I've always found these shoes to be comfortable and of high quality. The last pair I bought were the exception to my prior experiences. Sub-par quality indeed. I am going to try another pair.

I normally wear an 11.5 or 12 4E dress shoe. I was warned that these shoes ran large. After returning a size 11.5 ND size 11, I tried on a 10.5 4E. Even they were loose. My shoemaker helped me out with pads and heel lifts, but after almost six months they are a no-go. Hopeless and very uncomfortable. Never again.

The first week of wearing these shoes, they felt fine and comfortable. After about a week, I am in pain every time I wear them. First time buying Clarks but will never again.
