These shoes were just what I was looking for, but when I got them, I knew I had to return them immediately. They looked great, but the toe was a solid inch past mine and the shoe itself was so narrow I couldn't lace it up. Unfortunate.

These are my star-crossed lovers of the shoe world. Oh, how I love them. Rich, supple leather. Gorgeous craftsmanship. They fit like a glove (size 7, which is my usual size) and were comfortable from the first step. But, I simply could not pull them off. No matter what outfit I wore with them, they were just too manly for my feminine style. Perhaps if I were more hipster they would look less out of place. Alas, they just added an (unwelcome) element of confused to my look. Sadly I will be returning them. But I still love them and recommend trying them out for yourself!

These are great looking and comfortable. I love wearing them without socks, with skinny jeans. So cute. I have the dark brown. Lots of compliments.

These may be the most comfortable shoes ever! The leather is substantial but not stiff, and only took an afternoon to break in. I'm usually a size 9.5, but as with all Frye boots and shoes, the size 9 is perfect. Oh, and they are way cuter than the photos. The lines are slim, not blocky, so it doesn't look like I borrowed my husband's shoes.

These shoes are so well made and so classy! Unlike some other Frye shoes I've tried, they also run true to size, at least for me and I wear a 9. They do seem narrow but I have narrow feet, so it's not a problem for me. The heel is also pretty loose, but thicker socks solve that, and besides, it's not that much of a problem anyway. I found them to be very comfortable with essentially no break-in time, but I'm also confident that they will continue to become softer and even more comfortable. I got them in Cognac, which is a very nice burnished tan and will go with lots of things. The dark brown or black would probably be more dressy and I may save my dollars to get them. That's how much I like these shoes! And the price was almost a deal breaker, but I do think these shoes are worth it. They are head and shoulders above most of the less expensive shoes I've seen. I think they'll last for years and that I'll get my money's worth. Highly recommended.

This shoe looks better in person than on the screen. It arrived the next day after I placed the order! Even though the sole is hard, I find the shoe very comfortable, not much arch support.

I heart these shoes! I saw these in an Urban Outfitters catalogue but they didn't carry my size (9.5). There are even nicer out-of-the-box than in the photos. Classy, work-appropriate but still fun! May not be a good choice for people with flat feet or who need a lot of arch support.

Love these! On the first wear, they hurt a bit, but by the second wear, the leather was soft enough that they were perfectly comfortable.

What a great pair of shoes! I've long wanted a pair of oxfords, but was holding out for one that didn't look too girlie nor too manly. I think this one is perfect for work or play, and it looks great dressed down, or dressed up for work. They felt a bit stiff during the first few wears, and they are narrow, as others have noted. I tried the 6.5 (which is my usual size) and the 7--the latter worked best. And, thanks to Zappos, the purchase/return process went better than I could have hoped!

When I received this Frye oxford, the quality of the shoe was obvious. Beautifully crafted... but definitely narrow. I had a hard time getting my foot in, and to be honest, a little simple/plain for my taste. I sadly returned it and am looking for a wingtip instead.

Cute shoe with the usual long Frye toe box. Narrow through instep, but wide in the heel!

These looked great & were just what I wanted (something more feminine to wear with skirts than the Carsons with their clown foot & higher heel), but they ran too small. I ordered the same size that was perfect in the Carson oxford (which I love) -- could just barely stuff my feet into them, so I knew the next size would be too big & had to return.

Beautiful, classic shoe, but too narrow across for the midsection of my feet, so too uncomfortable to keep. :( If only it were made a little bit wider through there...

When I first slipped these on, I thought I'd purchased the wrong size since they were so narrow along the foot and around the toes. But after just five minutes of wearing them around the house, the leather warmed up and they now fit wonderfully. They haven't required as much breaking in as I anticipated-- a couple hours of walking in them and they feel custom-made. Do beware that for these to be comfortable, you must have very narrow feet and wear them with just thin liner socks.

When I opened the box I thought this shoe looked way too small. Surprisingly they fit perfectly and I wore them immediately. Appear well made and flattering. The toe part is slightly "pre curled". Not a lot of arch support but very comfortable nonetheless. I ordered my usual size...although some Fryes run small.

I agree with other reviews the toe does seem long. I went down half a size to help with that issue. They are a bit tight, but because they're leather I know they'll stretch to perfection with more wear. I consider this type of shoe a long term investment so I'm willing to put int he effort to work in the shoe so eventually the fit will be perfect. In general the leather is beautiful quality & color. Also, I should note that my feet are fairly normal but maybe on the narrow side so I don't think going down half a size would work for people with wide feet.

I had these shoes for years, and then gave them away - am I sorry I did! Now I wish I had them again. Perfect shoe, for wearing with everything, especially good for dancing. Now they've become a lot more expensive than what I paid for them, but so worth every penny!

These are not the hipstery little oxfords I had been dreaming of. The toe is not as pointy as I would have liked, and they are true oxfords, not derbys but they are clearly very high quality and I think they will serve me well. I replaced the laces with 30 inch ones, which improved things somewhat (the laces they come with are longer and somewhat unwieldy). I'm thinking about switching those out from time to time with sheer ribbon laces. I think that will minimize the roundness of the toe and create a really cute look. All in all, I think I will come to like these shoes and appreciate their quality. Wearing them now without any significant breaking in and they're extremely comfortable in the sole and not too bad around the ankle.

Cute but not comfy - These oxfords are so cute but they are stiff, tight, and need to be broken in. I wasn't sure about going up a half size or if they will feel better after they have been broken in. The look is perfect, the comfort is not. Hopefully in time.

These shoes are very nice, but they run small. I had to return them because they hurt the back of my foot so much. If I sized up and wore them in it might have worked but I'm not risking it.

These shoes are so quite. I was so disappointed when I got them. They run much narrower than the other Frye shoes I have. Unfortunately, they don't come in a wider width.

I have been looking for a great pair of oxford shoes and my search is finally over. I recently bought my first pair of Frye boots this year and thought I would give these shoes a try. I also ordered the James oxford and James wingtips. Even though they were beautiful and very substantial, they were much too masculine for me. Sadly I returned them. The Paige oxford is beautiful, expertly made and feminine, an instant keeper These are trim, slim, pretty shoes, better than the photo's portray. They are narrow but after wearing them around the house for a week I know the high quality leather is stretching and molding to my feet. Very comfortable. Looks great with skinny jeans, ankle pants, cords and chinos. I know Frye sizing can be a challenge but so far when I order my regular size 9 I am 3 for 3 for a perfect fit.
