These are great shoes. I am limited to the shoes I can wear for any length of time as I have neoropathy in both feet. Standing and walking is a challenge. These shoes, with their custom foam inserts are awesome. What a great idea. You customize each shoe for your fit. I can easily wear these shoes and walk all day. Even standing in line while shopping is better in these shoes. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good, comfortable, high quality shoe.

LOVE THEM!!!! I love these shoes!!! I will definitely buy more of these in the future. I stand on hard concrete floors at work at least 8 hours a day and I have Plantar Fasciitis. I was skeptical that pulling little squares out of the insert would make the shoes more comfortable, but it did! I adjusted the insert by following the diagram for my typical foot-pain spots. After wearing for a couple days, I was still having some pain in one of my heels. I pulled out more squares and BOOM- no more heel pain! I could go on & on, but it would all be good.

These shoes make you look like a referee, but I couldn't care less. With jeans they're totally acceptable and they are, by far, the most comfortable walking shoe I've ever owned. I even jogged a bit in them, which I am much too fat and old to be doing, but they're so spring. I just couldn't help myself. I am 48 and my feet are tired and were in pain by the end of the day, most days. Alternating a day of these with a day of Merrell sandals and my feet never hurt anymore. Awesome shoes.

When measured at a quality orthopedic shoe store, I’m told I should wear a size 6.5 EE. Obviously this can vary by brand. I ordered these shoes in a size 6.5 EE, and they are too narrow for me. Not sure if I was mismeasured, or if this shoe model runs smaller than "normal”. I’d completely love these shoes if they just came in a EEEE also.

These shoes are great for people with foot problems. The insoles are removable and custom orthotic insoles work very well. These have an extremely stable base. I have been buying Aexrex shoes almost exclusively for the past three years or so. Nothing works better for me. I have two pairs of the walkers and alternate them daily for work.

I recently started wearing custom orthotics for my plantar fasciitis, and I needed a pair of good walking shoes. I tried a number of different shoes, including the most often recommended pair, NB W846, for my condition. However, that shoe just did not feel comfortable with my orthotics. Thankfully, the Aetrex X801 felt perfect, straight out of the box. Everyone's feet are different, so it's important to try several different shoes. Zappos makes it easy to do so.

I'm extremely pleased. I have ATF which causes severe edema and accompanying foot problems. The Aextrex felt great from the moment I put them on and are a pleasure to walk in. They are comforting, supportive and make me feel very stable on my feet. I used to walk so much and enjoyed it, but walking has been agony for some years now so I have hope that these shoes will help restore some of my former mobility.

Too narrow - I ordered an 8.5 wide. The size was right, but the heel seemed a bit wide and the rest of the shoe was narrow. Since I have plantar fasciitis and this shoe gets good reviews for that, I have ordered it in 8.5 extra wide. Will let you know how that is.

This is a stability shoe. Has pronounced anti-pronation support. Very solid sole/shank and lots of heel/ankle support. Is quite deep and readily accepts an orthotic. Zappos had access to an x-wide that no one else did, too.

I ordered another pair of shoes from Zappo but returned them and ordered the Aetrex. They are very comfortable and sized right. Zappos is # 1 for service !

Aetrex shoes are the only shoes I have found so far that truly fit my custom insoles. I have three pairs of Aetrex shoes. I order a width up to accommodate the insoles. As for # sizing, I think they are pretty true to size. I have two different sizes of feet now (since foot reconstruction) so it’s hard for me to tell. These are relatively light shoes for being leather. They are a bit hot on your feet, but that’s to be expected of leather tennis shoes. They are clunky, but good to walk in. I have my own arch support so I can’t tell you if they have good arch support or not. They are VERY well constructed shoes.

I always buy my shoes so they feel like they fit from the first moment I try them on. I am very happy with these. Of course, my feet are huge, so my feet look very large in these but that's my problem, certainly not the shoes. The comfort, looks, and fit are sensational. That's what counts.

These shoes are not very cute, as they appear to be in the picture, they are kind of big and clunky like my grandmothers shoes. I wouldn't even care what they look like if I could just find a pair of black shoes with excellent cushion to wear during my 12 hour shifts on my feet. These do run about a 1/2 size large, and when I walk they slide off my heels, so I'll have to send them back and possibly try a smaller size. My quest for comfort along with style continues...

The Best - My podiatrist says that New Balance are the best sneakers for me, I've had heel pain and heel spurs on and off for years. I found this sneaker and I must say that it is the best one for my feet. It fits well and is so comfortable. They look great, too. I enjoy these sneakers and won't wear any other!!

Very Comfortable! I have foot problems and this shoe is not a really rocker sole which is too awkward to walk in but perfect to keep the foot supported, aligned and cushioned. I have tried many leading brands and find this to be a perfect shoe for me. Your customer service rep was very helpful in steering me to this shoe which is considered therapeutic. Just what my doctor suggested.

Very nice shoe and very comfortable! I normally buy Propet shoes but thought I'd try a different brand. I really like these shoes as they were comfortable right from the start... no breaking in required. I have wide feet and the wide width was good. Also it has some arch support which is good.

The shoe has an ice amount of cushioning, but it is a bit clunky and heavy. More arch support would be great.

I ordered this shoe on Wednesday ans received it on Thursday, wow! However, aside from the base color being a grayish color, I didn't feel there was any arch support, so I am returning them. But no doubt I will shop with this company again. They are really on top of things and it was a pleasure doing business with them.

This shoe was amazingly comfortable except for one little problem, the area on the lateral (outer side of the shoe) where the leather overlaps causes a noticeable lump which was fine on the left side (only slightly noticeable) but darn right uncomfortable for my right side. Would be a great shoe if this were fixed!

I wear 10WW and have a high instep. I placed my orthotics underneath the insole in this shoe, which seems to be working well, even though the insole seems to have quite a bit of shape. The design includes some reflectivity in the heel, which is important to me since I am often walking around traffic at dusk or dawn. I like the all-leather upper (the tongue is cloth/mesh -- can't have everything).

These shoes in an extra wide seem to contain my mild to moderate bunions, Morton's neuroma condition, but were a 1/2 size too large. I am exchanging them for a 1/2 size smaller, so we shall see! I am hoping for the perfect fit! I don't care so much if they aren't the cutest shoe, as long as they feel good.

They fit but they are sort of cheap, ungainly and flat feeling. No arch support and the tongue comes up to high on my foot.

These are really clunky shoes. Yes, they comfortable but the height of them would make me 6 feet tall. I do not like shoes that are built up this way as I feel you could twist your ankle. With a lower profile they would be great.
