The last shell toe's I had were in 77 !! These may not be the same leather; but, they aren't that cheap "pleather" looking stuff !! I have a wide foot & shoe fits great. Also, have a lot of back, neck & hip problems - wore these right out of the box today for 12hrs & no extra pain anywhere !! Great shoe
