New Balance does it again! Perfect for being out in the cold. Feet will be dry and warm. To my astonishment, these shoes do not make your feet too warm either, just total comfort. Maybe it is the Goretex.

Received my 977s from Zappos over night, and immediately put them on. They fit like a glove and decided to wear in the house to see if they needed any breaking in. On the morning of the second day, they were very comfortable and support both arch and ankle very well. Later walked in the driving cold rain and they kept my feet very warm and dry! I could imagine that for trail walking, they would be the same and can’t wait to hit my favorite trails. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone and even as a second pair for heavy trail walking. Light, comfortable, and extremely well made with a lot of attention paid to quality. I could not be happier and this is my third New Balance walking shoe.

I bought my NB 977's for protection against cold and wet weather, and possibly a small amount of snow when I travel. I have a tough time getting sized because my right foot is bigger than my left. I found New Balance shoes at 9.5 4E to be the answer. The 977s were very comfortable right out of the box and warm and waterproof, as well. A great shoe sold by a great company. I am a huge fan of Zappos due to their free shipping and returns and the speed with which they work.

These boots fit perfectly as do the same sized New Balance running shoes. He has very wide flat feet - hard to fit. The boots are very comfortable, warm and they look great.

These NB are great and fit true to size. I have very hard to fit feet so I called the help line at Zappos and found out which shoes would be best for me. The information was very helpful in choosing these NB hiking shoes.

I got these boots for my husband as an early Christmas present, and he loves them. He works in the construction field and is outside on his feet all day long. He says these boots are really comfortable and durable and were exactly what he wanted in a shoe. I like them because they look nice and can be used for every day wear outside of work. They did take a few weeks to break in, but he has had nothing but compliments since. We ordered his normal shoe size, and they are perfect. A good pair of shoes usually lasts him a year so we'll see how these hold up.

Just bought my second pair - These are awesome shoes. I have had a pair of these and worn them almost every day for 3 or 4 years. They've held up great and are totally comfortable shoes. There's still a bit of life in my old pair, but they are getting a bit long in the tooth, so I grabbed another pair while I still could.
