I have been eyeing the North Face Metropolis for 2 years and when it went on sale I bought it in gray (it matches my car, yeah). I live in the midwest and we get pretty cold weather. The coat is fabulous and is quite warm even though it doesn't look it. It is not bulky and it has all the features that you look for - an inside pocket, adaptable hood, double zips, and two great front pockets. I am pleased with this purchase and of course Zappos extraordinary service and delivery.

I bought this coat to wear during my commute. I have to walk a mile to work in the Chicago winter. This coat is great. It breathes very well so that you don't get overheated, but it also keeps you warm. Although, on really cold days I do have to throw a fleece on underneath for extra warmth. It's stylish and not overly bulky (the people on the train thank me for that). The 2-way zipper is great, but it does stick sometimes. My only other complaint is that feathers have started coming out. Not a whole lot, but enough that I get annoyed. I'm 5'3 and 120lbs. I bought a small and there is enough room for a fleece or a sweater underneath. I think the medium would have been too big.

I have ordered from Zappos a couple times and both times I have been very satisfied the coats I ordered are great and they were here so fast it was great. I will always look at Zappos first when I'm looking for something online.

I love this coat. It's so warm and looks great on. Even more importantly, it's extremely comfortable and very light. There is nothing worse than lugging your winter coat around while shopping. With this coat, you hardly notice. I love the material also -- I never need to worry about lint or dog hair sticking to it. I do agree with some of the other reviews I read that the zipper can be tricky. But, I think that is the case with all double-zippers. I don't think it's any worse than any other double-zipper coat I've owned. I have no regrets about purchasing this coat -- worth every penny!

I love this jacket. I was worried about the extra shiny look I really wanted the other one same style but a matte finish but this was on sale so purchased it. I don't notice the shinny fabric at all. Anything I have ever purchased from North Face has always been high quality. This is no exception and it actually feels really light but keeps me warm sitting in the stands watching my kids sports, we don't get freezing here but do get in the 40s. Best purchase for myself this year. It must run big, which I like because I got the Lrg, I am 6 ft and the sleeves are not too short, I got the xl first and sleeves were the same length but the jacket just seemed roomier. Lg fit is more flattering but I don't need to wear thick sweaters in CA if you need to layer underneath the shoulders in Lrg are tighter on me than the XL. FYI, I am 6 ft and 180 lbs and went with Lrg. Also I wash it in my machine and throw in the drier with an old tennis shoe...old trick from my grandma for down comforters and works great on all our down jackets...probably not recommended by manufacturer.

I really like this coat and get compliments on the color every time I wear it! The small fits well; I typically wear a 4 or 6 in coats.

Love this jacket! It's cute but also warm and cozy and protects from the harsh winter winds! I don't know how I survived the season without it. The fit was true to size.

I am thoroughly pleased with this parka. It is warm, fits well and has a two way bottom to top zipper which is great for comfort and convenience when sitting in the car, etc. It was also on sale at a great price!

I am so happy with Zappos. In future I am planning to buy more stuff. And I like coat a lot.

This coat is very simple, but cute. I was worried that it was going to be too light, but it definitely kept you warm enough in freezing weather. I'm 5'5" 110lbs and I ordered an XS and it fits great. I still have room for a knit sweater underneath, but it's not so roomy that the coat looks like it hangs on me when I'm just wearing something thin under it.

This is a beautiful coat. It is exactly what I want (I have been searching for the perfect coat for a few years now, and just found this). However, I am 5' and 118 pear-shaped pounds and the XS was way too snug in the hips. Sadly, I have to return it and they do not have any size S left.

I've had this parka for 3 years now and it's still holding up strong! I'm 5'5", about 125 lbs and I got the XS -- it can run a little narrow so I normally wouldn't wear anything too bulky underneath it. Only complaint is that the feathers have started to come out over the years. With that being said, I pop it in the washer & dryer all the time and it still maintains its shape. Great investment for chilly north east winters and super lightweight.

As a college girl, who walks around campus in Michigan, I would definitely give this parka a yes! Compared to all my other parka, I believed this is the best one. Super lightweight, and Super warm.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this coat!!! It's warm, light, the hood comes in handy in the wind, fit is loose enough for sweaters underneath, length is perfect (it covers the back of the legs and bum!) arm length is perfect. Bottom opening zipper is moveable,which is great while driving and getting in and out of the car/truck. So glad I got this I will be using it for a long long time!

I love this coat! It was exactly what I wanted! It was in my mailbox two days after I ordered it! This is a perfect coat for the winter and I highly recommend it especially for this sale price!

I simply love my new Parka. It arrived before I was expecting it. With the cold weather we have been having, it came just in time. High quality and the service was wonderful. I will certainly not have any hesitation in ordering anything from Zappos!

As always, a great product from North Face! Lightweight, warm, comfortable and stylish. Not the most flattering coat I own but as warm as it is, it does still have some shape.

I have been admiring this coat for over a year and finally bought it as an early birthday gift to myself. I have no regrets! It is warm and stylish. I can it wear to work with a dress or on the weekend with jeans.

Not often that you see something you like and order it on line and it is just PERFECT right out of the box! That is this coat. Is light weight but warm. I am 5"10" long arms and 150 lbs and this coat fit perfect. Length of arms good, not too tight under arms. Overall length of coat perfect. I wear it all the time and love it's fit and style. Zappos service outstanding, I am forever a Zappos Customer.

I love this coat! It is light weight but has exceptional warmth. It is very comfortable for running errands being in & out of the car. I am size 10 & ordered the M & the fit is perfect allowing for a sweatshirt underneath. Very happy with this coat!

Wonderful coat! Bought it for a trip to NYC when temps were in the 20's. Even in the wind, this coat kept me warm without feeling weighed down. Felt stylish too! I like the snap or zip option and thought the pockets plenty big. Highly recommend. I'm 5'9, 130 lbs. and the M is a good fit.

The coat fit wonderfully and looks terrific! So warm and comfortable. The service was amazing! I ordered the coat the evening before and it was on my doorstep by 1:00 pm the next day. Fantastic...I would have not even been able to make it to the mall that quickly. Wow, way to go Zappos!

I just got my coat today (as promised). I am in love with this coat! It is even better than I thought it would be! It is lightweight, but very warm for central Illinois' crazy weather! 62° today, and blowing drifting snow with a wind chill of -4° promised by tomorrow evening! This is the perfect coat for me! I am 5'7" and weigh 158 pounds. The XL fits perfectly! In fact, my coat is even a little longer than I thought it would be. That is great because I am tall. Even though it is down filled, I do not look bulky or fluffy. It is a very flattering style. I had a few questions about the coat, and called customer service. The man (Dave) was most helpful and it made my choice in ordering this coat very easy, after speaking with him. If you are thinking about ordering this coat - do it. You will not be disappointed!
