I now have 2 two of these skirts and love them. They are lightweight and comfortable. They do tend to stretch a bit, so you may want to buy a size down. I am a 12 and bought medium which fits well. The style is very flattering (my mother and Aunt both bought them) and suits many bodies as you can adjust the drawstring waist to suit your shape. There is a nice bit of cling without being tight and shirring keeps fabric from appearing too thin.

As others have said, this skirt runs massively big. I should have bought an even smaller size than I did, but even so the skirt is super stylish, versatile and comfortable. All in all, a good purchase.

My new favorite skirt for summer! The only reason for giving it 4 stars overall, instead of 5, is because the fit is a little odd, as other reviewers have mentioned – believe them, this one runs BIG. To give you an idea, I am 5'4" and weigh 180 lbs, and normally in a skirt like this I would expect to wear a large or even extra large – along the lines of a 12-14. So I ordered the large, and it literally fell down my waist and onto the floor. I exchanged it for the medium and even that is comfortably loose – will probably get a small when I order another one, which I plan to do, because this skirt rocks! Totally comfortable and very forgiving of figure flaws/challenges. I commute to work by bike and found the stretchiness to be a huge plus – very easy to ride in, and dresses up nice when I get to my office, though it's just as cute with flip flops and a skinny tank. One other thing – when the medium arrived I happened to lay them both side by side on the bed, and noticed that the medium was fully 8" LONGER than the large! I would've thought they'd be about the same, or the large would be the longer one. In any case, it's a fun, easygoing design with a lot of give and take – and who couldn't use more of that in their life? Highly recommended!

I like the fit enough, but not the "sand" color - light on bottom is never a great look for bubble butts like me. I find the Stretch Poplin to be a snugger, longer (between calf and ankle-length on my 5’2” frame), and less flattering fit than the Long Road Skirt. I'm not sure if it's the particular almost-white color I ordered, or the style of the skirt in general, but I get VPL with the Stretch Poplin, but this one is also a third less expensive than Long Road, so I'm willing to try a different color when my size is restocked (I ordered the sand because just about every other color was sold out in small).

The XCVI brand is usually spot on with sizing EXCEPT when it comes to this skirt. There is very little difference between the Medium and Large size. If you like a looser fit and a 12/14 size order a large.

Attractive and forgiving style but runs quite small & accentuated tummy too much/ like the skirt so keeping it for more slender days ahead-

I ordered 2 skirts in two different colors. One fit beautifully and the other seemed to be made with looser panels...they were just not the same quality. I'm am returning the white in exchange for another white, hopefully the second will be perfect!

I have the trace skirt and several dresses from this line however this skirt felt too large and too long overall. I ordered one size down - usually wear large but ordered a medium- which worked well. The sizing worked but the styling didn’t

I have purchased many of these skirts. By many they are one of two styles I wear. Then ... XCVI changed their sizing. There is a two to four inch variance, smaller, on these styles of skirts. I spoke w/ two different sales persons, at XCVI, who confirmed this and informed me that the new sizing is called "Contemporary". Previous skirts with "Standard" sizing were made in the U.S. and Vietnam. The "Contemporary" sized skirts are made in China. A "Standard" Large, is now a "Contemporary" X-Large.

Interesting...I bought the exact item in White and in Moonbeam. When laid flat, One in about 4" wider than the other, and one is 6" longer. Both are labeled the same size and Zappos did not make any error. So much for their quality control.

As usual Zappos service was outstanding, order arrived the next day. I usually wear size 10 so I ordered 2, medium stretch poplin double shirred skirts. The caspian blue one fit perfect, the moonbeam was 2 inches smaller in the hip. I've read that others have experienced the same thing. Ever heard of quality control?

I am 5'6", 137 lbs, work out regularly, normally a size 6, and ordered the Small in Caspian Blue. The color is beautiful but it fits quite tightly across the hips, and I don't have big hips. Maybe it is just that at my age 55, I don't like tight looking clothing. However, the stretch makes it comfortable. Also, it is an awkward length. It is lightweight, and in my opinion, you really can't make it look "all season" with tights, etc. I am considering ordering a larger size and keeping it as a travel skirt, which I think it would be great for, but overall, not overly impressed.

Very good quality and cute. I got a small & it seemed large however and the color is not quite the way it is pictured on-line. It appears to be lighter and not as subdued.

I ordered this skirt in "moonbeam" thinking it was a gray-brownish color but it's actually a gray-greenish color (like a darker sage) that's not so much to my liking. I'm also dissapointed by the skirt's overall size - when I walk it limits the size of my steps. It didn't seem to do this at first. But it probably shrunk a little after I washed it. This is kind of a big deal for me as I enjoy walking and walk a lot. It's design and comfort is ok, not exceptional. I'm 5'8 and 130lbs and the small fits well. I'd also ordered an x-small to try and it was tighter around my butt but I liked the fit of the small more. Overall it's just an ordinary skirt and I don't think it warrants the hype in many of the reviews here.

I've already bought the Moonbeam and the Black, LOVE THEM! Only reason why I rated a 2-Star Overall for my 2nd purchase is because the Meadow isn't a bright green, but more of a 'subdued' matte medium green. Plus, the Moonbeam isn't actually a Taupe but more of an Olive, so I wanted to compare the two and they're just too close in color. I plan to return the Meadow and just keep the Moonbeam & Black.
BUT as for comfort, LOVE these skirt styles! If an event is a bit more dressy than shorts, I wear one of my skirts with a tank and converse. :) I just wish the actual colors were closer to what is shown on the website.

I'm 5'5" and 135 lbs. I usually wear a med. in most clothes. I got this skirt in med. and it was huge! I returned for small and it was also huge. I knew them that the XS would be too big also. I was bummed out as I love the skirt. Only two stars because of the sizing.

I ordered two skirts in two colors, both XL. They ran VERY VERY small. I normally wear XL and others had recommended ordering down. I would order up a size. Length was nice, and so was style, but these are going back.

Sizing for XCVI is weird. Have this skirt in Black, size M. Too large but kept because needed immediately for part of a Halloween costume. Ordered this one in size S. It's too small. Like the style and thinking or reordering in a M but....will that be too large? 1 star ratings only because of sizing glitch.

I am so frustrated with this skirt! The size large is huge and the size medium is so tight I can barely get it on! I love the style but find the sizing very inconsistent. Also, the lengths tend to vary -- the first one I bought (and kept) is much shorter than the others. I guess I just don't understand the sizing, so sadly will have to send the medium back, just like I sent back the large. Too bad because I love the style! Has anyone else had this problem?
