I absolutely love these shoes and Zappos. The shoes were spot on with the fit. Zappos rocks! Delivery was super fast. When they say next day delivery they mean it.

I love these shoes. Great for hiking trails or just for walking around town. They are very comfortable and very rugged.

Casual North Face - These are great shoes to wear with jeans or sweats when lounging around. I wouldn't purchase these if you're looking to partake in hiking or outdoor activities.

Great Shoes - I love these the second they came out of the box. Very comfortable and they look sweet with jeans. Not too heavy so they are good for lot's of walking around. Plus you can feel good with the fact that they are made from some recycled materials. They will leave scuff marks on the floor though.

Wow! I always have difficulty finding shoes that are wide enough for my feet, and the mountain sneaker fit the bill. It is extremely comfortable right from the box, and seems to be constructed very durably. I highly recommend them.

Very nice - These shoes are exactly what I was looking for. They are sturdy and substantial, yet not as heavy or bulky as a true hiking shoe or boot. They are casual and sporty, yet not as casual as skater shoes like Simple of Vans. These aren't cheap, but the quality of construction appears consistent with the price. I cannot say how they will hold up, but I am optimistic. Out of the box, they are very comfortable and nicely padded. It seems like a good mix of stiffness and cushioning. They look good, since I was a little worried they would look odd based on the picture. I choose these over another pair of Keens (which I like, but always think they are a little goofy looking), and I'm glad I did. These look good in shorts and with jeans. Also, they are roomy in the toe box.

I have had these for about 2 months now and don\'t have any complaints. I wouldn\'t use these for hiking any distance but they are nice for walking and they fell well put together so far. The only problem I have with them is there isn\'t much arch support but if you need that then you should probably get some orthotics. Overall I\'m satisfied with them.

The sizing was right on for me. I have a hard time because I have wide flat feet and these fit great. They look nice and I really like the eco friendly construction. It was a toss up between these and a pair of Simple shoes but I like the look on these more. My only complaint is that the gummy toe and heel is not attached very well. I have had the shoes for about a month now and the toe on one side has been gradually peeling back as well as the heel. I knew before purchasing though some other people had the same problem also. It is frustrating though because this is the most I have paid for a pair of shoes in quite some time.

Mountain worthy - Well first off I'd like to say that my Mountain Sneaker's have kept together fine. I've taken them up hiking on wet mountain trails and the extra grip performed well. Long walking can result in toe cramping. Get some miles into them and the shoe does nicely.

Cool shoe. Looks awesome with anything. I'd rather have picked up the light tan ones but it's pretty tough finding those. The black and grey look fantastic, though, and are a better quality than I expected. Zappos was incredible, free shipping turned into free 2nd day shipping at no extra cost. These guys are all about customer service and it shows. I think I'll find myself picking up my next pair from Zappos.

Mountain Sneaker - Bought these a couple weeks ago and so far I'm very pleased. The rubber around the toe is a little bit thicker than it looked in the picture but it still looks cool. They are a really good fit and have are plenty of room in the toe area. The liner on the inside looks really cool too. It's like this mountain scene.

Pros: Great looking shoe. Eco materials (bamboo wood in the sole particularly). Cons: Crepe toe and heel guards peel and discolor badly. Laces do not stay tied without a double knot. Don’t age well, they look pretty shoddy as they get older. Run about half a size small. Overall: I’m satisfied with my purchase, but I would hesitate before buying another shoe like this because of durability issues.

These feel great, but unfortunately they quickly show signs of wear even though I take great care with them. The outer layer of the shoelaces shred and unravel to the inner cord. The rubber around the front of the shoes becomes detached from the suede. I expected a more durable construction from a company like North Face.

It\'s a good shoe overall with the exception of one thing. I\'ve had these shoes for a little less than a year and already they fell apart. I did take them on frequent day hikes up the mountains, but still they shouldn\'t fall apart in less than a year. Bottom line: If you want to keep these shoes longer than a year, then stay on paved trails and baby them. Otherwise don\'t get them. Also keep in mind that this shoe is made with recycled materials.

Cool Shoes - Poor Sizing - Love the eco-tech construction and the shoes look great. Too bad they are sized half a size too small. I've never worn a 10 1/2 in my life, but these 10s are too small. Believe what the others say and start a half-size too big. It was too much of a pain to return them for the second time, so I just kept "my size" which were really a bit too small. Also, the natural rubber strips do start peeling a couple weeks in. Be prepared to glue them back on.

Had them for 6 months - I bought these shoes 6 months ago, and they are about to be retired due to wear and tear. Like other reviews, the rubber toe and heel guard began falling off and tearing early on. The inside liner is now ripped as well. On the left shoe, the rubber bottom sole has separated from the bamboo part. They looked great when I got them, and I still love the design. I just wish they were a little sturdier.

Insoles - I bought these shoes because of there look and Environmental edge. After receiving them I found out that the insoles are glued in. I was a little disappointed in this as I usually put in my own after market insoles either immediately or after flattening out the originals. So while these shoes are comfortable now I am dreading having to tear and rip out the insoles in order to regain the comfort in the near future.

I bought these shoes and within the first month the rubber around the tip of the shoe was detaching from the rest of the shoe.

These shoes were awesome for 2 weeks until something happened to the inner/upper parts of the shoes. The material shifted and almost like collapsed inside which put pressure on the top of my feet and toes. I am really bummed because I love the style but now they are very uncomfortable to wear and I’m afraid it’s a defect in their design that is causing this issue.

Shoddy Construction - The gummy lining around the toe and heel started peeling back after just one wear. I didn't even go hiking with them yet, I just wore them at home. I would think for a shoe called a mountain sneaker it would be made a bit sturdier. If you buy these, buy a tube of shoe goo, too. You'll need it to glue them back together.
