I bought this vest for my boyfriend for his birthday. He loves it. It fits and looks great and the color goes with everything. Patagonia has always been a great brand for me so I knew I would hit a home run with this purchase, and once again, I was happy.

I was between this vest and the marmot Zeus vest. I purchased them both and was more impressed by the patagonia. If you're considering these two vests ignore the poor construction of the Zeus and get this vest. Fits true to size with a slight tailored hug. I'm 5'9 180 and a medium is good. The large was too roomy.

If you are hesitating about getting this vest - do not. I wear it all the time. It is great for core warmth as well as just kicking around in casually. Additionally, I have never bought from Zappos before, but the deal I got was less than everywhere else. It also arrived ahead of schedule. So, a very positive experience.

Finally found the ultimate layering vest. Tried many and this one is definitely it. It is thin enough to layer, very warm, good cut - not too bulky. Winner.

Unbelievable vest. Light weight, easy to layer, soft and comfy. Usually wear a large or extra large, Large fit much better in this vest.

Another great product by Patagonia. The down sweater (long sleeve) is a staple of my fall/winter/spring wardrobe so I knew what to expect with the vest version. Regarding the fit, I'm 6'-5", 200 lbs so I don't really expect many things to fit perfectly, so It's a tad short which is good for layering under a shell. However it's a bit wide in the body for me which isn't great for layering. I wear it pretty much non-stop around the house in the winter.

I'm from CO, where it's generally dry and cool from fall to spring and I rarely need or desire a big coat or parka. The Patagonia is light, slim-fitting and versatile, allowing me to stay toasty while wearing it under a shell for skiing in the coldest conditions or as a light jacket around town. Beware, if you like lots of extra features, zippers, cubbies or bling, this one is not for you. It's a simply styled, well-made vest with only a couple hand pockets and an inside mesh pocket that allows you to fold the vest into a compact ball for easy packing. Fit is a bit on the snug side at the waist for me.
