This was my first Asics shoe, and I wish I\'d tried them sooner. I used these for cardio, weights, and various aerobics classes at the gym. I wore them out and now I\'m an Asics convert. Very lightweight and provided my feet great support.

These are the best sneakers I have owned. Fit is perfect and they provide good support for my ankles and sole.

I bought these shoes to wear in the gym. I do a lot of high impact step aerobics classes. I have also had a lot of trouble with my feet and ankles in the past so, I need a good shoe with a lot of support. These shoes are great! I have been wearing only Asics running shoes for the last 7 years and they are the best. So, I have purchased my first pair of Asics cross trainers. I really love these shoes. They are comfortable, they have good support and best of all my feet and legs have stopped hurting since I switched to these shoes. I have never bought a bad shoe from Asics. I just don't know why I didn't switch to these sooner. The only thing I would improve on this shoe would be to make the shoelaces a little longer. For some reason they are very short. Other than that, this is a great shoe!

I am using these shoes for aerobics. They have great support for lateral movement plus they are wonderfully ligtweight. I would buy another pair if they were available in my size!

I love these shoes. I do an exercise program called T-Tapp, which requires a cross-trainer with a very stable base, as there are several "one-legged" moves. Although only one ounce lighter than my Skechers, the Asics are infinitely more flexible and comfortable.

I really like these shoes. I do exercise DVDs, treadmill, and walk outdoors. They are very comfortable. I did find like other reviewers that they were a little narrow in the heel.I wear a 7 1/2 med and always order an 8 med in work out shoes. This is my first pair of Asics. I normally buy New Balance but will buy Asics again when I need a new pair of work out shoes. I would recommend these shoes to anyone that needs a cross trainer work out shoe.

I love Asics sneakers! I'm a total gym rat. I work out at the gym 4 to 5 days a week. These cross trainers are perfect for my training sessions, gravity classes, and spinning classes. The toe box is wide, so my toes never feel cramped, and the fit is perfect from day 1. I'm glad I ordered from you! What a great selection to chose from! Thanks!

Great shoes. My second pair and they really support my feet so they don't roll inward when I walk. Also, Zappos is great! They sent me the shoes the next day, even though I had opted for standard shipping. Great experience, all around.

I decided to buy cross trainers to do Insanity (an at home workout) and am really glad I did. Compared to normal running shoes (which I used to complete P90X and Chalean Extreme), these offer MUCH more lateral support and are stiffer under your toes, which gives you a firmer base to do jumps/plyometrics etc from. The toe-box is also slightly snugger (not tight) than running shoes so it gives you more support overall vs. letting your toes have too much room and thus leading to problems. I have been running with Asics GT-21xx series shoes for several years (currently on GT-2110s, time for a new pair!) and when I finally decided to buy a pair of cross-trainers for my other workouts, I decided that I wanted to stick with what I know works for me, so I went with Asics again, and I’m glad I did. I’ve had no problems with these shoes so far (it’s been a month of intense cardio drills) - no blisters, no heel pain, no heel slipping, no shin pain, no knee pain which is amazing considering how hard the workouts have been. I’m extremely happy I decided to get these shoes. They are very comfortable to wear, give stable cushioning support under both your heels and your toes, and offer just enough rigidity overall to help you through your workouts. I have flat arches and I find I don’t need to use my orthotics in these shoes as the support is good. I’m actually less tired when compared to using my running shoes. If you’re looking for "lounging around" shoes, these are probably overkill for you and you may find them slightly stiffer than normal sneakers, however, if you’re into actually working up a sweat, these will be your best friend. The colour is a bit out there, but I don’t really mind them. What you don’t see until you get them is there’s a very slight flower pattern on the blue parts of the shoe, but you can hardly tell from more than a foot away. I ordered these in the same size as my GT-2110s and they fit perfectly, so if you can’t find these in a store to try on, test out another Asics runner.

I use these Asics to do the "Insanity" workout. Before I got them, my ankles hurt me really badly. Now they don’t hurt at all. I would definitely recommend these shoes! I always buy my Asics 1/2 size bigger than my everyday shoes.

I never write product reviews (really), but after two months of searching for the right cross-trainer for my flat (but not over-pronating) feet, I feel like I need to help others find the right shoe for their aerobics/kick-boxing/cardio, etc. classes. In shoe after shoe, I continued to experience pain in the ball of my foot (so much so that I had to sit out and stretch sometimes, and miss some of my workout!) FINALLY, these shoes give me the cushion and support in need. They absorb so much of the pressure I used to feel on my feet. Sure, I still feel foot fatigue after long stretches of jumping and bouncing, but I never have to stop, and the discomfort subsides quickly once I move on to the next exercise, and that did not happen until I tried these shoes. If you have less than ideal feet, you know that there's no perfect solution that will make you feel like you're just walking on clouds all day; but with these shoes, I have seen an instant improvement in my stamina, endurance, and the overall quality of my workout. PS: If you, like I was, are on the fence b/c you don't like the way they look, I'll just say this: I went through way too many shoes based on how they looked. Finally I said, "Well, they're not the prettiest things, but they have good reviews, and my feet don't care what the shoes look like; they care how they feel." I'm not crazy about the metallic stuff going on w/ this shoe, but I AM crazy about how good I feel in them, and I'm willing to sacrifice my personal sense of style for comfort. (That's why I give them a "5" overall even though I give them low marks for style).

These shoes are so comfy and sturdy. Perfect for my flat feet. I use these for walking and on the treadmill and elliptical. This is my second pair. They fit pretty true to size. Some sneakers are better if you go up 1/2 a size. I buy these in my normal size. Worth the money!

No matter how many different brands and styles I try on, I keep coming back to Asics. They just seem to fit the shape of my feet the best. The webbing upper is good for evaporating moisture, but the reverse is also true - if you run in the rain or through puddles, your feet get wet. Design: Personally, I'm not a fan of the spiderman-esque stripes and webs; I'd like to see something a little more matte and solid. But the color palette is nice. Support: Very important to my pronating feet. This had the best pronation support of all the shoes I tried. Size: My foot measures as an 8, but I usually get an 8.5 in this brand and in most brands.

I bought this shoe because I love Asics for walking/running, but am doing a kickboxing program and wanted more lateral support. People commented that they felt narrower than marked, but I believe that is because they are snug to give that lateral support. I have been very happy with them for this program. They are not as great for walking running, because they do not have the same cushioning in the front, so I'll stick with my other Asics for that.

Okay, this shoe is very comfortable, but I will have to say it is one of the ugliest shoes I have ever put on my feet! I just couldn't get past it, so I had to send them back. Sorry, shoe!

The shoe has a really nice look, and accommodated orthotics well, but totally lacked any padding in the front foot. It's not working well for cardio classes.

Nice looking shoe. I feel like it is a little more narrow than other Asics gels I have purchased in the past. Also not as comfortable.

Support, but no cushioning to speak of. Disclaimer: I have only worn these on several short walks around the house. I have not worked out in these shoes, and wouldn't. They are VERY hard and unyielding. Just getting this shoe on is difficult. The amount of support seems fine, but I can't get past how stiff it is. The bottom of the shoe doesn't flex at all (I have more flexible hiking boots), and there's no forefoot cushioning that I can perceive. The back of the shoe is also hard and there is very little cushioning at the heel area to hug that part of my foot. I have very narrow heels and I always have to tolerate a certain amount of slipping, but the hardness of the materials makes the friction intolerable. Everyone seems to love these and they look great so I wanted to give them a chance. I put them aside for awhile then took them out for several more in-house try-ons over a couple of months. I hoped I'd get used to the stiffness and that they'd feel right, but no luck. I'll probably stick to running shoes from this brand.

I purchased these specifically for the insanity workout. I have pretty flat feet and the arches in these were way too high. Yes, I could swap out the insoles but for the price of these shoes? I really do not want to! Purchased the UpTempo style instead and those were perfect. Too bad, I like the style of these shoes.

Loyal Asics Customer's Big Disappointment - As a person who struggles with serious plantar fasciitis - and has found that Asics is the only shoe that allows me to not be sidelined by foot problems, I must say that I was disappointed in this shoe. The workouts that I used these shoes for were step, rebounding (trampoline), kickboxing, athletic conditioning, and crosstraining classes. From the first wearing, these shoes felt like they were (as I call it) "flat". They didn't have the normal support, cushioning, and bounce that I have always found in Asics shoes. I felt like I was working out in years old Converse sneakers when I had these shoes on. By the third wearing, my heels were aching - a sure sign that my plantar fasciitis is returning. I bought a new pair of Asics called GEL-KAYANO 14 that are super. Check them out.

Absolutely love my new Asics. The only thing... and this may seem silly... is that the shoe strings are too short. I don’t have wide feet, and I have narrow heels, so I have to loop the shoe strings in the top holes to keep the shoes tight around my heels, so there’s not too much left for tying. Small problem. These shoes are great. Comfortable, great support, and good looking. When I finished exercising, I hate taking them off.

Love these sneakers. Comfortable, supportive. Help keep even alignment in my hips. I ordered them in both colors. I always like the fit of Asics (not too narrow), but these are my favorite pair ever.

This is the best athletic shoe I have ever owned. It is incredibly hard for me to find athletic shoes. I have a high arch, need lateral support (lots of it), have scar tissue on my heels and knee issues. I can stand in these shoes for 8 hours+ and have no problems. Have not found another athletic shoe that came even close to this in comfort.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. Pros: The Gel-Intensity offers excellent support for both the arch and heel and I can feel it as my feet hurt less relative to other shoes after long treks. This shoe is also immensely comfortable thanks to the cushioning and meshing. For the first few weeks it felt like I was walking on pillows! In the past I've had issues with my heels shifting when I walk; amazingly, that doesn't happen with this pair. I love the color schemes that're offered, too. I got the Flore/black/silver and it looks incredible the way they have the floral pattern etched in the blue background. Cons:The manufacturer claims this shoe helps to stabilize the wearer's gait, though I haven't felt any difference in that. The only other minor complaint I have is that this shoe is made for those with relatively normal shaped feet. So if you have wide foot or high arches, prepare for a fair bit of discomfort near the tongue of the shoe, generally more often when sitting than standing I've noticed. Summary: It's a great crosstrainer. It'll probably perform well for most and looks great to boot. Consumer Reports rated it highly which initially piqued my interest, but after wearing the Gel Intensities for a while, I'd definitely agree. Finally, as you've probably read elsewhere, it's definitely a good idea to order a half or whole size higher with this shoe.
