Pretty good overall - I bought these velcro strap sneakers for my father. He said they are true to size, and quite comfortable. I did read the reviews regarding the straps being too short and ordered them anyway. Well, it is true, and they look sort of odd with the strap only covering half of the exposed velcro. It makes it look like his foot is super wide for a shoe, when it really fits fine. Not in love with that aspect because for that kind of money they should give you the extra inch!!!

Good shoes - Shoes fit well, they look good and are comfortable - as other reviewers have said. The straps are too short - people do have arches and the manufacturer has not taken that into account. They MUST make the straps longer!

Good comfortable shoes for my elderly father. The only complaint is that the velcro tabs could be a bit longer.

Shoes for my son - Shoes look good and feel great. My son loves to wear them. The only problem is the straps are too short. It would be great if they are 1/2 to 1" longer.

Almost perfect - I cannot understand how they can offer a wide shoe and use the same too-short velcro closures! They are constantly popping-off when I walk.

A Real Help - I have had a hip replacement and cannot bend over to tie my shoes. But, I can use the velcro straps well. The shoes are quite comfortable.

Old marine with foot problem - My third pair of New Balance. Fit was as expected. Very true to exact size. Recently have had foot problems, but not because of these shoes. Because was not wearing shoe with enough arch when I did my serious walking. Don’t want to make that mistake again. Will probably go to more expensive shoes next. Just hoping to help my feet. These shoes are as good as I have ever had. Look great. Can’t go wrong for an everyday shoe.

I like velcro closures; wish there was better selection. The cloth in the heel of these shoes has ripped, and the foam is exposed. The sole is very flat and stiff, which contributes to the heel slipping no matter how tight you get the velcro. I think New Balance is more interested in making the numbers than making a good shoe. I think they have lost their focus - like General Motors did long ago - and I will be looking for a start up brand that still cares about making a kick-a** shoe

When I put them on, my toes were touching the front end of the shoe and they were narrow enough to cause my feet to hurt after standing and walking in them all day at work. I really like the styling, so I may reorder them in a larger size and width.

It seems like no velcro-closure shoes are as stable as lacing shoes, but these are easy to get into and have the last which is exactly what is needed for a proper fit for my wide and scarred feet. These are the best velcro shoes I\'ve ever owned.

Very comfortable and durable. This is my third pair. However, the hook and loop closures on this pair are too short. They only reach half way across. New Balance's quality is slipping badly. I will not order a fourth pair.

I buy these shoes for my son with severe autism because of the velcro and the wide widths available. The shoes are very heavy and don\'t have much arch support at all, but the choices of velcro shoes are so limited and most are so pricey that I\'ve bought these several times in ever bigger sizes. (He grows really fast.) His big toes tend to wear a dent into the insole of the shoe over time, but this may just be the way he grips the shoes with his toes as he walks. The shoes are not very flexible but they are very warm in the winter. He has also worn the more expensive New Balance velcro ones, which are more flexible, and he has tried the Avia 334 velcro shoes, which are very lightweight but don\'t come in wide widths.

Critique on my second pair - I am now on my second pair of the MW576 as our dog chewed up the first pair with which I was extremely happy. I ordered exactly the same shoe again, but for whatever reason, these are a different fit with the velcro strapping. The lower strap fits ok, but the upper strap seems to be about 3/4 inches short. It works ok, but barely. Will have to say that next time I will again choose New Balance, but in a different walking shoe.

Cool idea - but lame execution. Not the fashion note-worthy item I was hoping for.

Nice New Balance shoe, but not 4E-Extra wide as I specified. Got them in a 4E box, but even on the shoe it does not indicate 4E=Extra Wide, just has a tag that says Width Available. You can't get any larger than 4E in this style. Anyways, shoe wont fit, so returning. All in all would be a nice pair of shoes if they would have been what I ordered.

MY husband got these because of the hook and loop closing. He lost his sight a few years ago and had trouble with laces always getting knotted, etc. He really likes these. They are very comfortable, easy to deal with (no laces) and they look good, too. My husband does wear an orthotic, and had no problem fitting it in these shoes.

They fit narrow - They are on the narrow side. Around the house they felt ok, but on the street they hurt my feet. On the other hand I do have 15 EEEE feet so it is hard to find shoes, New Balance typically fits well. If you have doubts wear them at home for a longer period than you normally do.

After four or five wears, the shoe is very, very uncomfortable - unusual for any New Balance product. I walk three times a day, about 2-3 miles. I should have stuck with laces. These are a big disappointment.

arrived as expected, excellent quality, but the size was mistaken. I mean, the shoe was marked 10.5 D (44.5 eurosize), but did not fit me at all, while another new balance (model 623) with the same size fitted perfectly. This was 43-43.5 size actually.

They squeak - I had bought many of these shoes in the past and threw the box away when received or I certainly would have returned them. What a mistake that was!! They squeak with every step. Must be made elsewhere now. In the future I will be more careful.

BAD DESIGN -really short tabs - I bought these shoes for my elderly father who was having problems which tying his shoes. I did see the reviews relating to the short tabs but was really surprised just how short they were. In order for them to even be usable I will need to have to pay to have the tabs lengthened. BAD DESIGN NEW BALANCE - don't waste your money!
