My dad's first experience with Johnston & Murphy's. He normally wears a Size 13, and a Size 12 in Bostonian. The Size 13D in this shoe were extremely long on his feet. He also tried a 12D and could not get his foot into the shoe. Zappo's was quick to delivery what I thought would work, a 12E - thinking the wide width might give him the real estate he needed, but unfortunately he could not get his foot in this shoe size either. I'm guessing if J&M made 12.5's for men, they'd be perfect. But as it is, the 12 Regular & 12 Wide are too small and 13 is way too big for him. Back to Bostonian, I guess. PS - Had to leave a rating for Comfort to share the review, but he could not get the shoe on his foot, but I cannot say if they are comfortable, so I rated it an average 3 stars because I had to leave something in the rating.

My husband bought these and really likes them. Comfortable from the start, even without any extra insoles. They look great!

The shoes are really good looking and can be worn with any wardrobe color. I did not feel like these shoes would stretch like the old J&M's did, so I requested an exchange for a 1/2 size bigger in the same width and they will work fine. As usual, Zappo's was was the most cooperative e-tailer ever and satisfied my exchange with a smile. Love 'em!

Bought these for my father, as his old pair finally wore out. He loves the style and comfort of the shoe but said that the pair were uncomfortably tight. He's usually a consistent 10M, but we've ordered 10.5 and 11 to see which he prefers.

My feet are very flat, and with serious bunions. I saw these shoes a long time ago, but since all shoes, even the same size are a bit different, could never find a pair that would fit. Somebody recommended Zappo's, I purchased a pair, and these are the closest fit for me. Left foot perfect, right foot a bit loose, but I can take care of that. Happy to have these. Insides feel like the finest doeskin, outside looks and feels very durable.

Should have ordered a half size smaller than my oxford size. Despite that, a really terrific shoe that I enjoy with a heavy pair of dark “sport socks”.

Will return these for the W.

Wverything look great but the tassel tie to the shoe appears too thin. At this time it's new and it's OK but it may break with some use.
