J'aime beaucoup ce style de chaussures ... J'avais besoin de ce genre de chaussures pour mettre aussi bien dans la journee que pour faire une sortie le soir... Habituellement je fais du 71/2 M mais avec ce genre de chaussures mon pied debordait un peu sur les cotes et non... Puis le 7 W trop large et mon pied se "baladait" trop de partout... Je pense que ces chaussures font 1/2 taille en plus. Je suis sure que le 8 m'ira mieux.... du moins je l'espere Avec Zappios ca va si vite qu'on n'a presque pas le temps de reflechir ! These are lovely shoes and I get lots of compliments on them when I wear them -- on the color, texture, and style. They are mostly comfortable, also. The footbed is soft and squishy and the adjustable strap provides a secure fit. I've had a few issues with them, however. First, they hurt my "ring finger" toes when I wear them all day on active days (like at the airport). This situation has improved somewhat, and I'm hoping it will go away altogether. Second, even with the adjustable strap, they feel a bit like flip flops because the sole is so soft, which makes it tough on days that I have a lot of stairs. They also make a squeaky farting sound, which doesn't really help my credibility in business meetings. I'm hoping most of these issues will resolve themselves, though, because they are really gorgeous shoes.

I wrote a previous review and had very high hopes for these shoes but after trying several different sizes, I just can't seem to find one that fits my foot. Based on how ultra-comfortable many people seem to find this shoe, I will be returning all the pairs currently in my possession and looking for a different shoe altogether because I can't justify paying this price for shoes that aren't "perfect". I'm sad because the shoes are very cute and I can tell that if they fit me properly they would be incredibly comfortable. For reference, I am between an 8.5. and a 9 with moderate-to-high arches and mild bunions. The 8.5 was too short in length for my foot but the 9 was too long, even when I adjusted the back strap smaller (and then there was about a centimeter of extra sole showing at the heel). The shoes definitely run narrow. I'm usually a regular width but ordered the wide in both sizes and can't imagine that the regular would have fit comfortably.

Comfortable enough for office-wear, but I wouldn't wear them if my job required me to be on my feet all day, or to go sightseeing. May be okay in these scenarios for others, but I have an extremely high arch, and the shoe does not provide quite enough arch support for intense walking situations.

I wish I could keep these shoes - they feel like standing on a cloud. BUT they squeak. Both the leather against painted toes & the rubber insoles:(. Tried both the baby gator patent & plain black leather options, hoping it was just the patent that caused the squeaking. Wanted them to wear at a conference. No way I could sneak out during a presentation. Really bummed because the comfort level seemed amazing.

The shoes are as attractive as they can be!! However, they are incredibly uncomfortable. They run narrow and a bit short. Because I like them so much, I am going to have them professionally stretched.

I liked the look of these, but like some others, I found the heel strap fit oddly, and they made an odd whooshing sound as I walked. I cannot have that at my (quiet) office. They are incredibly comfortable.

I was excited to wear these to a wedding, but found that my toes were really pinched in front--I'm disappointed because I couldn't dance! The actual bed of the shoe seems comfortable enough. I loved the style!

Very pretty shoe. The toe box was nice and snug, but not too tight. However, every step I take is followed by the "schwep" sounds -- the sound of the shoe slapping back against the bottom of my foot. Maybe I need to learn how to walk more delicately, but it won't be happening with this pair. Back they go.

Comfortable and surprisingly sleek looking for a walking shoe. Would have happily worked in them all day except the strap is engineered so as to allow the back of the shoe to flip and make flip flop noises. Sadly, not for work after all.

These shoes were comfortable initially walking around my carpeted office building but soon turned into medieval torture devices. Still too narrow and cramped in the toe even as an extra wide and not high enough at the top to allow room for the instep, cute -- though! Too bad.

I ordered these shoes because I liked them and because all the great reviews. Well, they are not the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They hurt my feet, can't wear them for long hours. They are cute and look great, but that's about it. And as always Zappos is the greatest place to buy shoes, the quick delivery, etc. Thank you Zappos.

One of the great things about Zappos is the invariably helpful customer reviews. I HATE returning things, so I can vet something as simple as shoes for hours, in the hope things work out. So, I read the reviews and ordered these shoes in an 8.5 (I normally wear an 8 or 8.5). I could not even get my foot into the shoe! It felt like I was thrust into some weird Cinderella movie -- directed by Scorsese. I would probably need something like a 10 (!) for this to fit. This was very disappointing and very odd. But they do look nice.

I was looking for a slingback sandal that could replace a pair I had from La Plume for a few years but are now worn out. Sadly, I have to return these. They squeak with every step, in both feet, and there seems to be an air pocket between my foot and the shoe that makes a separate sound that sounds like passing gas. I also didn't realize the footbed is polyurethane and not leather. Very disappointing for the price. Toe box felt a little tight given that I ordered a wide width but I suppose that would stretch. Also disappointed with Zappos live chat - I clearly said these were just delivered and I got a copy/paste scripted reply with advice for people whose shoes are making noise after having worn them for a while. No offer of help to find something different. My next step will be to try a brick and mortar store where I can see these things before buying.

Comfortable to stand in, but the fit is a bit tricky. I tried them in size 8. They were too long, so I went down half a size to a 7.5. They felt perfect when I tried them on, when I was just standing, but then after walking in them for a while, my toes were running into the ends of them. I've broken them in and I still have the same problem--they're fine for a little while, but as the leather warms up, my toes ram into the ends. I've quit wearing them, which is too bad, because they look very nice and they have a comfortable foot bed.

I liked the 1940's flair these shoes have and the super cushiony foot bed, but the backstrap is very uncomfortable. I can not adjust it so that it stays on my heel. It makes them extremely uncomfortable to walk in.

Although very cushy and probably extraordinarily comfortable if they fit, they did not work for me. I thought the shoe was a bit short and narrow for me. The peep toe did not lie flat. Oh well.

Cute and incredibly comfortable, but they made a really annoying sound when I walked in them. Like Darth Vader breathing! I couldn't stand it and had to return them.

These shoes look cute - if only it were actually possible to walk in them. The heels clack, the back strap bends, even the wide toe box is very narrow.

Lovely to look at, but the strap is higher than the average slingback, so it is impossible to wear them without great discomfort. If you let the strap sit lower on your ankle -- where you'd expect it to be -- the leather 'bows', which then makes them look as ill-fitting as they are. I ordered three pairs, and it's really bugging me that I simply can't wear them because of the very high heel strap.
