Sized Very Narrow!! I normally wear a medium, and the wide in this shoe is almost too narrow to get on my foot, but the leather should stretch over time. But I've owned this style for over 20 years and dearly love it.

Run Narrow - I like the look of this sandal a whole bunch, but I'm very unhappy with the sizing. I read all the other reviews, many of which said the shoe ran a bit narrow. I ordered them in Wide to make sure I'd have a comfy fit. When I got them, they were SO narrow! I am returning them, sadly, and not sure if I want to gamble on the Extra Extra Wide, as I've never worn that size before...

Nice Summer Sandal - I just got the shoes. They are very cute and great for a day at the park or to run my errands. The buckle rubs a little on my skin though. When I walk, it make this little sound. Pros beat the cons!

Love my grandma sandals - I ordered white ones and when I first got them they looked a little like grandma/granola sandals. But they are easy to dress up, and now I love them. Do get them a size up! A lot of people say the straps are short, but they just have fat ankles, the straps are perfect.

How to fix the strap - At the shoe repair store, I purchased a product called "Shoe Stretcher". Spray the strap that is tight around the ankle and wear the sandals for one hour. This made the sandals much more comfortable. The spray does not discolor the leather.

40 Years Later... Can't believe that these are still around. I wore them 40 years ago. Still comfortable and stylish.

Pretty comfortable sandals - The Bass Margie is quite comfortable after you've worn it a few times, but I bought the regular width and the straps were very tight. You may want to go up a width and make sure that you break it in! Overall it's a very classic sandal and a great buy.

Summer pleasure - Very comfortable. I have been looking for this size for over a year, to replace the ones I wore out long ago. The straps make it very easy to adjust the fit. I am glad Bass did not decide to discontinue this sandal.

Bass Margie - Even the "narrow" width was a loose on my foot, and the straps are quite stiff. Still a decent shoe for the money.

Very nice shoe - This shoe is a nice sandal if you're looking for a casual shoe to hang out in. Pretty comfortable too! They shipped quickly and I was pleased with that.

Good Walkng Sandal - I ordered Margie because the syle was appealing to me. It did not have the clunky look of most sandals and the bottom appeared to be of durable construction which would be good for walking. I was right on both points, the sandal is rather elgenant looking but durable and comfortable for walking around. An additional bonus was that I got my purchase todays after ordering it. I call that fast.

Ok but... It is a nice shoe, but the band isn't the most comfortable. It is still great to walk in, I used it as my main shoe on vacation.

I was a little disappointed - I had a Bass sandal that was similar to this one but it has obviously been discontinued so I ordered this instead. The sandal that I had stretched so much that it was wayyy too big so I ordered the same size but in a narrower last...The shoe that I received was too small to fasten at first... I called Zappo and the customer service person assured me that the shoe would stretch since it was real leather, she convinced me that I should keep the shoes and use 'shoe stretch' on them. I did this... I have worn the shoes only a few times and cannot wear them for a very long period because even though they HAVE stretched they are still very uncomfortable, nothing like the ones I have worn for 4 or 5 years that I bought at a Liz & Marty's for probably 1/2 what I paid for this shoe... The old shoes are still good & comfortable, just flop around because they are too big-width wize... The old shoe is more comfortable because the straps are wider and the shoe fastens with velcro as opposed to the clasp, which is uncomfortable on this shoe. I will not order the Bass sandal again unless I can find one more like the old one...

Tried and true - This style has been around forever, I believe. I didn't have any reddish sandals and knew these would be comfortable when I decided to order them. They are. The straps have a bit of give. The length seems a bit off. I ordered my usual 8.5 and could have gone with an 8. That often happens with sandals, though. They come in wides and are not really stylish, but better than some of my "practical" choices. I notice that usually the clunkier, the more comfortable, but these are exceptions to that perception. Bottom line: they are worth the price.

Margie - Comfortable all-around shoe. Can be dressed up or dressed down. Very comfortable for a warm climate.

Bass Black Sandals - The sandal is comfortable if you don't have to do much walking in them. I suggest the heel should be a little higher.

When you need a really narrow sandal - The soul is narrow but the straps were made for a wider foot, so the shoe still flops. If you are a double A or more narrow, you might still find this shoe too "big" although the soul is the proper size.

Although I wanted to love these sandals, when I took them out of the box they were not a wide shoe even though the box said wide. So they are going back.

Really wanted to like these shoes. Thought they were really cute on and very comfortable but my feet slipped through the front as I walked so that eventually my toes were touching the floor. I have really narrow and flat feet and got the AA narrow width (loved that they had that option) a half size smaller than my usual size 8 (since other reviews said they run long). The length fit (although I think I would have been ok with my typical size) but the straps in the front had so much room underneath them that I could fit my fingers in between the straps and my foot. This is probably why my feet were sliding out. Not sure if I got a defective pair or if that is how they are supposed to be. Total bummer because I liked everything else about them and really need some comfortable sandals that aren't hideous for hoofing it around the city.

These shoes are really comfortable and fairly stylish for a comfort sandal, I would say. However, they are so loud when walking. With every step you take, it sounds like air is being squished out of them. Outside on the street, it is not overwhelmingly noticeable, but in the office, I felt self-conscious wearing them to the point where I have now stopped reaching for them. Bummer because they are so comfy.

So cute, but way too narrow. I wear a 7W normally, but I read they were long so I ordered 61/2W. The length was fine, but they were still too narrow. Also the strap that is suppose to go across the pinky toe didn't so my toe stuck out! I exchanged then for a 61/2WW with better results, but still had an issue with the pinky toe strap so I am sending them back. And they were just barely wide enough at the WW size.

I bought 2 pair of these shoes. The narrow straps cut into my feet. The part underfoot makes a swoosh sound when I walk. Could not return and both pair not used. Wasted money.

After ordering a dozen pairs, these were my top choice for style. Upon trying on, the footbed was comfortable but the front set of straps was too long and didn't even touch my foot, rendering them useless. After reading other reviews on issues with straps not being the right length or disconnecting from the shoe, I chose to return. Unfortunate since they are such a cute style!
