Classic black Bass Weejun - This shoe is the classic black Bass Weejun, which has not changed much since its heyday in the 1960s. It's comfortable, durable and timelessly stylish. Zappos service was great and the overnight shipping is a real plus.

Good Shoe, not so true to size. This is a good looking shoe that is comfortable. Beware that this shoe runs big. I normally wear a 10.5, I ordered a size 9.0 in these. I could probably fit into an 8.5. I would recommend ordering 1.5-2 sizes smaller than your typical running shoe.

This is the only Weejun - I have been wearing this style of shoe for forty years. Tried other brands and other Bass look a likes, but this is the only one I come back to order again and again.

Bass Logans - Classic - I purchased these shoes for my boyfriend at Christmas. First let me say that Zappos delivered these shoes in LESS THAN 48 HOURS after I placed the order. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! Second, the shoes... my boyfriend had a pair 35 years ago. He could not believe the quality and feel of the shoes.... exactly as they were 35 years ago. He LOVES these shoes. Thanks Zappos! And if you are looking for a pair of casual classics... you cannot go wrong with these shoes!

Nice but... Whoa, this shoe is long. I'm a true 15 and there is no way this shoe will stay on my foot. I'm going to try the 14 because it is a good looking loafer.

First ordered these half size large and extra wide based on prior reviews, but they were significantly too big. Then ordered my normal size and they are a bit tight, but with regular wearing are getting a bit more comfortable. Good-looking, well made shoe, but moderately lightweight and not that supportive.

2nd pair of these. Very classic look and they dress up or down well. Quality construction and handsome stitching that looks good with slacks and sportcoat, or with nice jeans. Living in the desert, I have even worn them without socks, with "dressy" shorts. Despite feeling a little cramped on width at first, they have broken in and feel very comfortable.

The sizing of this shoe is way off! I would advise you to order a full size or 1 1/2 size up from your regular shoe size. In other words, if you regularly wear a size 9, buy a size 10 or 10 1/2. Plus these shoes are super narrow. Even regular width feet should get the 3E width.

I've been wearing weejuns for the past 40 years. I haven't bought a pair recently however. When I got mine they looked great but were extremely stiff. After a day and a half of wearing them, the upper stitching tore right at the toe bend. Zappos is great about exchanges and I'm hoping its just a random defect. One of the other posts, however, references "old weejuns made in the US" which makes me wonder where these are made? It has the look, but the jury is still out in my opinion.

Dependable Bass quality - I just wore these today, so I'm still "breaking them in." I believe you can always depend on the Bass product.

American wide shoes - Very nice and comfortable. Very important for me to find not only the right size, but the right width too.

Nice casual loafer - A nicely-constructed casual loafer. If you're a fan of the old USA-made Weejun you might want to go up half a size.

New Bass - Very nice shoe. A little stiff, but fits good. Like the look. Thanks.

Rigid leather, decent shoe. At one time Bass was a real company. They were bought by a conglomerate, closed the US factory, and now they use contract manufacturers all over the world. The quality has taken a noticeable drop. Still decent shoes, but nothing exceptional like they used to be.

I got size 8D in one of the other Bass styles Gilman (my usual size) and they fit perfectly. These I could not even get my foot into. Then I tried the wide width in the same size and they seemed to be cut more conventionally as they were super wide on me. So then no size of this style fits my foot. I'm sure shoe would be comfortable for someone if it fits.

Unpredictable Bass - Shoe is ok, but sizing with Bass seems off-I have to return this to re-size, but the other shoes I purchased are spot on with fit. I have stopped buying Bass shoes because this seems to always happen with their fit.

Wide shoe are not wide - Ordered 3E. Shoes and box marked 3E. But these Bass shoes just aren't wide. Seem to me like a D width.

My first pair ofBass Weeguns. Whata treat. I was a little leary before putting them on in that if shoes don't fit right with me, they don't ever fit right. But these Bass Logans are fantastic. Even for the first try on. I will be back soon for the brown pair. Thanks for the wonderful quick service. My wife couldn't believe they were here the next day. Thanks again Zappos.

I ordered these for my husband. It was too large for him, though the Sperry Topsiders in the same size fit perfectly. I am returning them and will not reorder since they were too stiff and plain looking for his taste. But they were good quality if you like Bass shoes.

The last pair of Weejuns I had was in 1978. It took 8 years and a couple of re-solings and re-heelings, but I dogged those babies all the way out. They were so soft and comfortable almost from the beginning, it was like wearing bedroom slippers. Compared to those, these are like wearing razor blades. Frankly, I liked the leather heels and lack of arch support on the original. And something is different with the leather. These are incredibly stiff, and have an unnaturally high shine on them. I realize nothing can stay completely the same, but the Weejun wasn't broken, and Bass shouldn't have bothered to try to "fix" it. I'll update you with how the break-in goes.

The last pair of Bass penny Weejuns I had was in 1978; they lasted 8 years, and I dogged them all the way out. I don't remember them being as stiff and unyielding as the ones I just bought. The old ones had a leather heel; these have one that's either hard rubber or plastic; it's hard to tell. Not sure how long it's going to take to break these in. I wouldn't have even bothered buying them new if I could have found a used pair in a thrift store. Nothing dorkier looking than new, shiny, stiff Weejuns.

Ordered these shoes for my husband who is always an 11 medium. Ordered the 11B, and he could not even begin to get his foot inside. I went by the other reviews that for the most part said these ran true to size. We could not disagree more. Runs VERY small, and they are really stiff as well. Disappointed.

My high school age son wears these shoes when he needs to be dressed up. They fit him great and look good. They have been the same since I was a kid.

Best damn shoe around. Period.
