Globe Encore -
Perfect shoes - the insole is well padded and the hexagon grip works perfect. The toe cap and the ollie area hold up well and the stitching doesn’t wear off, both areas are double layered. These shoes lasted me about 3 and a half months and always felt comfortable. Get them, you wont be disappointed.

Shoes feel true to size. Very comfortable & stylish. Some what difficult to maintain clean since they're canvas material. Also, great grip and feel once you're on a skateboard. Overall great shoes when it comes to anything urban.

Very comfortable. Color is great. However, the color bleeds onto the white laces. Overall great shoe. Very happy.

I bought these for my 15 yr. old son and he absolutely loves them. Only problem is, like all skateboard shoes, they just are not made tough enough to last through all the scuffs and abrasion from board tricks.

This shoe is less than great. The material seems flimsy and very prone to stains. I like my white shoes to stay white. I don't believe these have a chance of staying white.

I bought these shoes around a month ago and they're already falling apart badly. I ride a freestyle scooter near daily, and by the middle of my second week having these shoes, the sole of the right shoe had separated from the shoe itself. It's very easy to just pull the white part of the sole away from the shoe itself. From the heel to the middle of the shoe it had just pulled away. The white rubber strip along the sole scuffs and stains quite badly, and the stripes on the sides are very prone to scratches and dirt as well. The stripes are only a thin layer of white which can be scuffed off fairly easily. The rubber "Globe" logos on the heels have fallen off as well. They feel cheaply made. On the plus side of things, the shoes are very comfortable and feel great to ride in. Nice amount of support and cushion, and the style looks really good. The fit really allows you to feel what you're riding, be it a scooter, skateboard, etc. They feel true to size. If these shoes were more durable, I would absolutely love them. Based on the quality of the pair I've received, I could in no way recommend these shoes for someone who intends to have a long-term pair of shoes to ride and walk in daily. As general, light walking shoes they may hold up a bit better, but take into consideration durability if you intend to use them for any heavier activity.

I am really happy with my new shoes. Not only my shoes but how Zappos makes it fun and easy to shop for shoes. The prices are very affordable. I plan on making more purchases in the near future.

These are great shoes. Comfortable, supportive, true to size, durable, capable of earning compliments from people half my age. They have become rarer here on Zappos. I hope that trend reverses itself.

Bought these shoes in May of 2013 and they are still one of my go to pairs of shoes. I wear them at least 3 times a week if not every day. I bought them in red and gold. The color has faded a little, but they are still great looking shoes. Other than replacing the white shoe laces they have been very easy to keep clean and presentable. The only thing starting to show wear is the Tag that says "Globe" on the back heel, it is starting to disconnect from the sole. Not very noticeable and not in anyway effecting the wearability.

The Encore is my favorite skate shoe and favorite sneaker of all time - they are very comfortable, are not too puffy or bulky like many styles, and last for a very long time. I am waiting and waiting for the day when they will make the black on black color scheme (with black soles) again (and if they ever do, I am stocking up). I am about to buy these and color them in with permanent marker, it's been too long! I have a pair of the globe pulse currently, but nothing compares to the fit, durability, and style of the Encores.

I have had these shoes for five months now. I wear them almost daily, frequently while riding my street bike, and they still look great. I have the red and gold pair, the colors have shown very little signs of fading. I will definitely buy these shoes again!

I'm on my third or fourth pair of Encore's now. They look good and they're comfortable right out of the box. As far as skate shoes go, I had always worn DC's until a couple years ago. I've had excellent luck with Globe shoes; they hold up much longer than any of the other brands that I've worn.

These are the absolute pimp king of shoes. I would do anything for a pair of black/red/silver (David Gonzalez) puzzle series from the past. These shoes only get better as you wear them. Light, low profile, flat, comfortable.

My first pair of skate shoes were Globes. It's a great brand - the shoes take a beating and keep together. This pair rocks!

It is nearly impossible these days to find a comfortable and stylish sneaker. What is going on with all the shoes in grey or black? We are either dead on the inside, or ninjas, apparently. God forbid a skate shoe has some color on it. Anyway, these are fairly comfy shoes, not as good as the old eS brand, but apparently they made enough money on us and bought an island somewhere and that's the end of really comfy shoes. Globes are the next best bet, as far as I can tell. They have marginal arch support, which again, in a land of 8 trillion shoes is the best you can do. I have no idea how they perform with regard to skateboarding, not my thing. Seriously, if you are an entrepreneur out there wondering how you can invest a small amount of money and reap a huge reward, make a really comfy skate shoe, and offer it in a million different color ways. Done. Go pick out your island.

The quality of this shoe has gone down massively in the last 2 years since I purchased my last shoe. The ankle dip is raised higher so it now rubs; all padding seems significantly thinner and cheaper, the cushioning in the shoe seems less bouncy, and the tongue is smaller and thinner. I now have to go through the pain of finding another brand of shoe after I was very happy with these previously. What a pain.

I have owned several Globes and I fell in love with the high arch support that was in every pair. I was super excited when the shoes showed up, but after trying them on I was totally disappointed. There was no arch support. Too much padding near the ball of my foot and the padding felt uneven. The laces were way too long as if they were meant for another shoe. These shoes may be good for skating, but for somebody who likes Globes for style and the arch support, I would not recommend buying!
