Just to add some size information, I've recently been measured as a 7C, and the 37 Reg in this style fit me perfectly. As others have said, these are extremely comfortable; I especially like the depth of the heel cup as it holds my heels and ankles stable.

I have always found Birkenstock to be the most comfortable sandal but was looking for something more feminine. I ordered so many sandals to try on. Thank goodness for Zappos' return policy. The minute I tried on the Bali, I sent all the others back. There is no break in period and I can walk all day in these. I wear a size 9 and the size 39 fit perfectly. They are roomy and have excellent support.

These are exactly what I expected.Amazing arch support, super comfortable and cute. There are a lot of "comfort" sandals out there, but if you need arch support to avoid tendon pain like I do, these are a must try!

Customer service was so very helpful. The shoes were just as they explained as comfortable and the lady I spoke with explained about the weigh and the length of for my feet. I would have asked for the wrong size.

These are amazing! I needed a narrow pair even though I do not normally wear narrow. I wore these all around Italy and never had one issue while my two traveling companions dealt with blisters from their shoes. I love these. Definitely get them! They are cute and totally comfortable!

I got sized a few years ago at a Birkenstock retailer so I already knew I was a true size 39 even though I'm usually a size 9 womens. I bought the Birkenstock Gizeh (before they became "trendy") and I'm still so very much in love with them. I decided I wanted a nice pair to wear with my maxi dresses and saw these Bali's and had to have them. Well, UPS just dropped off the box! I've been wearing them for 2 hours now and I want to live in these sandals! If you're really thinking of getting a nice "earthy" shoe....you will never regret it.

I highly recommend Birkenstock Sandals especially the ones with back straps & soft footbeds! Did not need to break these sandals in at all. Comfortable right out of the box! I would suggest you order one size down though. According to the charts I would wear a size 40. I'm a women's size 9, but I ordered a 39 instead due to some of the other reviews I'd read before ordering. So great sandals -- just order one size down.

I ordered these in a size 5, based on prior reviews. Normally I wear a size 5 or 5 1/2, but these fit bit. Disappointed that they are too big, will be sending them back.

These are really great shoes. Very well-made and comfortable, and for me much more attractive than the original style I wore in the 1970's (open back with two straps across the top of the foot). They are more expensive than I normally spend on shoes, but I knew from my last pair many years ago that they would last a long time and be comfortable. I had actually wanted the Gizeh Birko-Flor with the open back, but the piece that goes between the toes was too thick and hurt, so I returned them and got these instead. The only thing i don't like about the Bali Soft Footbed is that the upper strap is too loose, and needs another hole to fit my foot better, and sometimes it's hard to get the buckle pin in the strap hole. I would wear these more often if I could slip into them. For now, I just use them when I need brown sandals to go with my outfit. The rest of the time I live in my Reef flip-flops which have many small "pillows" in the rubber foot-bed--SUPER comfortable!

These sandals are super comfy! Classic Birkenstock look. They do run a little wide but you can tighten the straps.

I love this shoe! It fits beautifully, provides great stability and matches my expectations for a Birkenstock. It is nice looking as well. I have tricky feet to fit and this really will be a keeper for me. Reminds me of my favorite old Mephistos...love them and they stopped making the style. Thanks Zappos for great service and quality.

Very comfy!!! Got these for my trip to Italy and I think they will be perfect. I have been wearing them in slowly and so far so good! Nothing is rubbing and they have a comfortable foot bed. They do run on the larger side. I ordered one size down.

Very recently wrote a review of this shoe. While there is much to like about it, I was bummed to discover that, because of my high instep, the top strap is too tight, even on the last hole. I have ordered the Granada Soft Foodbed (slide) instead. It is very similar, but without the buckled strap. I wish they would make the straps a bit longer. Remember to order down a size.

Just received my Bali Soft Footbed sandals. I ordered down one size as suggested in other reviews - a 38 instead of my standard 39 - and they fit perfectly. The width is generous, but I don't think a narrow would work. So, if you have a medium to narrow foot, I suggest you go with the narrow. As for style, they are very cute, one of the cutest sandals I have bought in quite awhile. While I have not worn them yet, I know they will be comfortable right off the bat, as there are no spots that will rub or need to be broken in. There's just one problem: they only come in brown. Birkenstock needs to introduce more color choices ASAP. I will be waiting and ordering more colors when they are available. Does anyone ever NOT give Birkenstocks 5 stars?

Amazing! Put these on, wore them all day. I have foot problems and wide feet. Loved these shoes. Probably will buy another pair in a different color. A standout among Birkenstocks.

Love my new Birkenstocks and love dealing with Zappos. Shipments arrive almost instantaneously and can be returned for almost instant credit. It's the best way to try on several pair of shoes at the same time and choose. Great selection!

Another great pair of Birkenstocks. Very comfy. I do think the soft footbed doesn't have quite as good arch support as regular Birkenstocks but still adequate. And, as always, love Zappos and their customer service!

I find the soft foot bed has a somewhat more prominent toe bar than the regular foot bed, so it is taking me longer to break them in. That being said, I have lots of things wrong with my feet, and Birkenstocks are the only shoe I can wear without modifying them with inserts,pads, etc.. Be aware that the soft footbed runs narrower than the regular footbed, if you have a wide foot get the regular width.

Love this sandal. Perfect for the mom on the go, without sacrificing comfort and style. Comfortable from the first day I wore them. I have small feet, size 5.5. The narrow fit is perfect!

Best shoes, and I have tried a lot. I have a long narrow foot, high arch and stand on my feet for hours every day. Try them. I did get a size smaller.

Now my favorite summer shoe! These sandals go with almost everything and are very comfortable. They are my first soft sole Birkenstocks and the fit, comfort and style are all perfect. The heel strap adds extra security so I can wear them when walking my large, rambunctious dog. I'm very happy with this sandal.

These are Birks. You know what you're getting when you buy a brand that's been around for as long as they have. The quality is impeccable. The comfort unmatchable. These supported me through daily walking of, on average, 6-8 hours through Europe. They still look brand new. I also like the styling of these because they're not quite so clunky and tree-huggy as the other styles. Get them. You'll be glad you did. Or at least your feet will be.

I bought a size down because many reviews said the shoe runs big. I wear size 10 normally, and the 40 (size 9) was about half an inch too small. I re-ordered the 41 (size 10) and it fits perfectly. Took a few days for my feet to get more comfortable in the shoe and for it to mold to my feet, but now that they are broken in these are my new favorite sandals. I wear them around town and while working at a summer camp. I have extremely flat feet, and have tried a number of shoes. Usually high arch support is too painful. These were perfect, I could tell my foot was supported but it wasn't to high of an arch. I'd recommend these to anyone. I like that they have the ankle strap, and are not just flip flops.

Love the Birkenstock collection. Have problems with feet and need a good arch support, I can always rely on Birkenstock to deliver. Use these indoors in wintertime with socks instead of slippers. Ab fab.

I just received these today and have been wearing them around the house. They are very comfortable and provide a great deal of arch support. I normally wear a 7 1/2 medium and sometimes wide depending on the shoe. I listened to the reviews here and ordered them in a smaller size. I would normally have ordered the 38 but got the 37 instead and they fit great. Since I sometimes wear a wide shoe these fit me well across the top area by the toes. If you have a more narrow foot you may want to order the narrow since these do seem to run wide. Overall a great sandal with lots of support and not too much of the clunky birkenstock look. I wish birkenstock would make more feminine looking sandals and definitely more sandals with the back straps but these are definitely nice and I'm glad I ordered them.
